This was perfect for us and our Nashville vacation. I don't like cities or any urban environment, so I searched for rural properties such as this. It's secluded and quiet, but is not really that far from downtown if you need to go down there. We did go experience the music a couple of nights and we found that the GPS offered a route that was all back roads into the city. It was about 13 miles. If you hate the city, love the country, but still need to be able to go down there in a reasonable amount of time, pick this property. Our favorite part of the property is the really unique backyard "courtyard". The house backs up to the forest and is in a hollow so it is 100% private.
This property was relaxing and gave us all the space we needed to recover from the holidays. We all enjoyed playing games relaxing watching videos and getting in the hot tub every day. The hiking trails on the property were also fun. Finally the campfires really made are stay magical. . Thank you again to Steve and Elizabeth for being the best hosts. Would definitely come here again.
We had an amazing stay. The owners were wonderful and so accommodating. So many amenities were available. The property is so peaceful. We spent time walking the trails on the property and relaxing in the hot tub. It was so nice to go into Nashville and then come back to the peacefulness of this home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Can't wait to come back!
Great weekend trip to Nashville and this home was in a terrific location to get anywhere in the Nashville area. Beautiful home surrounded by the beauty of nature. Plenty of room for our family of 6!
We loved this place. 25 min. from everything we went to do around town. It was so nice to unwind at night in the hot tub and around the fire in a quiet country setting. This property is clean both inside and out and has everything you could ever need to enjoy your stay. I would stay here again.
White oak was the perfect place to stay for our Nashville weekend. We enjoyed the private backyard and off the beaten path location. Steve was east to communicate with. 10/10. Would stay again.
Home was very clean when we arrived, and the owners are very considerate. We had a great time enjoying the wildlife and scenery. The backyard is a pleasant gathering place for conversations and morning coffee. The hiking trail was also very enjoyable. House was very easy to get to and if we are ever in the area again, we would gladly return to this property.
This is a great home, well maintained and in a private setting. After returning each day from the busy city of Nashville, the house was a perfect place to relax.
Perfect place for a small group to stay where you don’t want to be in the bustle of Nashville. It takes 25-30 minutes to drive there (park for cheap in the Music City Center off 6th st. The home was cozy with plenty of towels and large rooms. If you cook it is nice because there were oil, spices and some other cooking items. Super helpful as was the owner!!
We stayed at this property while we were on a Nashville weekend. The house and grounds are so awesome, we couldn't wait to come back in the evenings to hit the hot tub and sip wine by the firepit. We also enjoyed the trails that were available, and saw tons of deer. Everything was set up for us to be very comfortable. Our hosts were in quick communication with us the whole time. 100% recommend this rental!! Three cozy bedrooms, and a nice couch downstairs if someone wants to crash on that. Beautiful place.
We booked this house with the intention of sleeping and cooking only, the remainder of the time we were to explore Nashville. Well we didn’t leave the property. Our 3 grandsons played in nature…didn’t want their devices at all! We cooked, played, made s’more and hot tubbed! We napped, hunted mushrooms, read and just enjoyed family time. They had everything we could have needed. We scheduled a Walmart pick up for groceries and never left! We will be back soon. 100% recommend… 5 plus stars. Thank you to our hosts!!!!
Brought my dad to Nashville for his 70th birthday present with my sister and two daughters. This place was PERFECT! Clean, comfortable, convenient! Close to downtown but far enough away for peace and quiet. When we come to Nashville, we will stay here from now on! Just perfect! We loved the covered porches, hot tub, walking trail, big spacious rooms, kitchen, and family fun games.
Beautiful home and very quiet atmosphere. Perfect getaway to relax and close to Nashville.
Great location, the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Lots of room and very comfortable home to relax inside or outside. This home is highly recommend by the Minnesota Girls. We had a fabulous vacation!!!
Very comfortable stay! Elizabeth is a very considerate host who made everything we needed was ready for us upon arrival. Beautiful home and grounds. The screened porch rocker was the most wonderful way to start the day with morning coffee :)
Perfect family home, perfect location outside of Nashville!
The home is so beautiful and the property is so peaceful! Nice, quiet stay for a quick weekend trip to the Opry! We loved going into Nashville to see all the sights but we were ready to get back to the house to enjoy our family time! We will definitely be back again!
This property has all you need for a relaxing respite away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close enough for easy access. The well-manicured courtyard behind the house would be reason enough to stay here. This house has so much character, from the construction to the tasteful decorations throughout. Throw in a fully-functional kitchen (complete with the little things you need but not remember to pack such as spices and cooking oil), and it quickly becomes a home away from home.
This is an awesome property. So quiet and peaceful. Looked forward to going "home" every evening after funfilled, but busy days visiting Nashville. This home was so beautiful and VERY clean.
We met the hosts, they were very nice and so sweet. We only saw them once, didn't even realize they were on the premises.
We will be going back, for sure!
This property is about 25 minutes from downtown Nashville. If you're looking to balance the hustle n bustle on Broadway it's great! The owners were very responsive to any inquiry we had while staying. There was plenty of room for out party of 6 to sleep and spread out through the day or come together.
We (4 adults) had a great time at the house. We have no negatives to say about the house or the hosts from check-in to check-out. Very comfortable beds.
This house was clean and spacious. The back yard was great. Would stay here again. We have stayed in many vrbo's and this house would be high if not top of our list.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It's only 20 minutes to downtown Nashville. The house is beautiful and very spacious. I would highly recommend staying here.

We bought our dream home in 2008. We have traveled extensively and stayed at traditional Bed and Breakfast Inns over the years and have always dreamed of running one. However, zoning and permitting issues made that difficult. So the Vacation Rental concept was perfect for us.
Why they chose this property
We were always looking for a property that was convenient to the city but still had a rural feel to it. White Oaks was a dream to purchase being only 20 minutes from downtown but feels like you are in the Smokey Mountains with the Oak and Hickory forest and natural spring fed creek.
What makes this property unique
When we were looking for our dream home, White Oaks stood out since it was a "period" home patterned after Antebellum era homes of the south. We loved the peace and quiet of this "nature preserve" with plentiful wildlife sighting including a pair of Bald Eagles that nest nearby. Sulphur Branch creek is 100% spring fed and runs clear all year.
