Fijn vakantiehuis, dicht bij invasiestranden gelegen.

Het was een fijn vakantieverblijf. Alles wat je nodig had was aanwezig. Ook voor jongere kinderen veel speelgoed, buitenspeelgoed en tekenspullen. Veel informatie over Normandië, vooral Frans en Engels. We werden heel hartelijk door Christine ontvangen met heerlijke flessen appelsap. Je hebt wel een auto nodig. Bakker en slager op loopafstand aanwezig. Verschillende supermarkten op ongeveer 6 km afstand. Hele rustige omgeving. Toen we vertrokken kregen we van Christine nog mooie bloemen uit de eigen tuin mee. Voor ons een hele geslaagde vakantie.

Clean, comfortable and spacious house

We made a last minute decision to travel to Normandy and were lucky to find this house which was spotlessly clean and comfortable for us (and our dog) and well-located to visit the D-Day beaches, Bayeaux and Mont St Michel. The house is spacious, attractively decorated and well-supplied — especially the kitchen, which had just about every utensil one could possibly want (except a peeler). The garden is stocked with lovely flowers and fruit trees and has three comfortable sitting areas. Christine was very accommodating, meeting us when we arrived late in the evening, offering suggestions for sight-seeing and welcoming us with a large basket of delicious fresh cherries. The house is in a pleasant, residential suburb of Caen. There is a boulangerie nearby but no attractive restaurants or shops nearby so one has to either drive a fair distance for meals or drive to a supermarket to buy supplies to cook in the house. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and were glad to have a comfortable base for several days of tourism.

Schöne Pfingstferien in der Normandie

Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen und hat einen kleinen Garten mit mehreren Sitzmöglickeiten. Für die Kinder ist mit der Tischtennisplatte für Abwechslung gesorgt. Weiterhin gibt es ein Dart- sowie weitere Spiele. Das Haus ist sehr schön mit drei nett eingerichteten Schlafzimmern. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Als Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge ist der Ort ein guter Startpunkt. Die Betreuung durch Christiene und Gilles war hervoragend. Sie sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für Fragen sind sie jederzeit erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Super woning op een mooie, rustige locatie

Fijne, comfortabele, complete en ruime woning. Wij hebben het hier erg naar onze zin gehad. Het huis ligt in een stille omgeving met veel groen/ natuur in de omgeving. Bakker, slager en bar zijn ongeveer op 8 minuten lopen. Christine is een fijne verhuurder met veel (wandel)tips om de vakantie nog aangenamer te maken. Dit huis raden we zeker aan!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Wir (Familie mit 3 Kindern) haben die Zeit in Cairon sehr genossen. Es ist ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus, das sehr gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, aber man ist trotzdem sehr schnell in Caen oder am Meer. Christine ist äußerst nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns mit Cidre und selbstgemachter Marmelade begrüßt.

Complete, ruime woning. Gastvrij ontvangst

Hartelijk ontvangst door Christine. De woning is zeer compleet, wat we erg gewaardeerd hebben. We hebben veel plezier beleefd aan de tafeltennistafel. Reactie op onze sms naar Christine werd zeer spoedig beantwoord, wat we prettig vonden.

Perfect house and location

We recently stayed at this property and found it to be very nice, spacious, and a perfect fit for our family of five. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with necessary items for cooking. The location provided easy access to the Normandy Beaches as well as bakeries, grocery stores, and the area is a quiet and welcoming retreat after a long day. Christine is a lovely host who wants to ensure that you are comfortable and pleased in every way. She is very prompt in responding to your inquiries and helped us with directions, plans, and even left a welcome gift of freshly picked cherries and some homemade jam. We would and will definitely recommend this property to others.

Accueil chaleureux dans un gîte fonctionnel

Quel accueil ! Nous nous sommes sentis très vite à l'aise dans ce gîte, grâce à toutes les attentions qui avaient été apportées (matériel pour nourrisson mis à disposition, jeux pour enfant, pommes du jardin et cidre en guise de bienvenue, etc...). Le gîte est très bien équipé, vaste et fonctionnel; le jardin est entretenu, clos et très agréable. Dans un environnement très calme. Adresse à recommander !

A great place to stay!

Super sejour

Réservation effectuée en derniére minute du matin pour le soir même. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis dans ce gîte parfaitement équipé et bien situé pour visiter les principaux lieux touristiques de la Normandie. Location propre et bien équipée. Idéalement bien situé par rapport aux lieux à visiter, La propriétaire nous a bien guidé (carte à disposition), Lieux à visiter : les plages du débarquement, Arromanches 360°, le cimetière américain, la route du cidre, Caen, Beuvron-en Auge, restaurants en bord de mer.

Beautiful, cozy cottage in the country

Christine met us at the cottage and, we had gotten lost enroute and were quite late and she was so patient and kind. We enjoyed the beautiful cottage and the wonderful history of Normandy! Christine gave us great recommendations of the surrounding areas. We loved the lay out of the house and the community it was located in. The cottage had everything we needed and we would highly recommend this cottage to our fiends and family. We would love to return again one day and stay in the peaceful cottage with the wonderful, friendly hostess.

Sejour très agréable accueil chaleureux et très attentionné ( confiture maison à notre arrivée ainsi qu ' une petite bouteille de bienvenue ) . This Caen region region's cottage was perfect!

Our family of six adults had one of the best vacation experiences ever in Christine's cottage. The setting was country and pastoral but near city conveniences. The cottage of three bedrooms and dining/living space was relaxing, extremely clean and very calming in an otherwise busy bustling life. The VRBO description was point on perfect. We enjoyed the convenience to Normandy beaches, French historical and WWII historical sites. We enjoyed a morning walk to Fred's meat market and Rosemary's bakery for Normandy bacon, coffee and fresh croissants. Christine and Gilles are delightful new friends! We cherish their friendship and hospitality and look forward to many years of friendship. i can't imagine how we could have enjoyed six days more than we did at this special Cairon, France home and family. When you go, be certain to see the ancient cathedral just ten minutes north in the countryside and the beautiful castle nearby. Take a walk in the countryside. Relax, take in the restoring fresh air and relax even with conveniences of home. The cottage...was very well supplies and maintained. Christine is so pleasant and closely to assist we felt an immediate friendship. With full agreement of my family, we commend this home to you! Prima woning gelegen op gunstige locatie!

De woning is precies zoals op de foto's. Beneden 1 slaapkamer, keuken, toilet en badkamer met bad/douche en wastafel. Woonkamer met 8 persoonseethoek en bed/bank. Boven 2 slaapkamers, 1 kamer met 2 losse bedden en 1 kamer met 3 losse bedden. Keuken is ook van alle gemakken voorzien met o.a. Hete luchtoven, magnetron, afwasmachine koffiezetapparaat, waterkoeling etc. Woning ligt op ongeveer 6 km vanaf Caen en 18 km vanaf Arromanches. Prima locatie om de invasiestranden te bezoeken. Gastvrouw Christine ontvangt je heel gastvrij met een vers gebakken taart. Wij verbleven er met 8 personen, 2 personen sliepen in de woonkamer. Dit is wel wat vol, maar als je je erop instelt prima te doen. Daarnaast ook nog een ruime tuin met meerdere zitjes en mogelijkheid tot BBQ-en. In de kelder staat een tafeltennistafel en er liggen in de kast meerdere spellen die je kunt gebruiken. Al met al een prima adres op rustige locatie, ook geschikt met kinderen. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Super location.

Christine was a highly responsive and helpful owner with wine and pastry as welcome gifts. The house is in a quiet, beautiful rural location near all WWII sites. Three BRs with MBR (double bed) down, two x 2 singles up with one bath on the main floor. It's on a quiet street in a quiet village fifteen minutes from the busy city centre of Caen. One overwhelming (Coras) and one good grocery store within ten minutes drive. Nice LR with great TV. The compact, well-equipped kitchen is bright and tidy. Christine provides a personable engineer husband, lots of local info and an area map (Yes!). A yard, a BBQ and firm but comfortable beds make this a nice retreat from which to visit the local sites. Wifi is fast but the (iPad) signal is weak upstairs and in the LR. Would return and we recommend.

accueil très chaleureux par la maitresse des lieux, des petits détails qui font que vous vous sentez attendu: fleurs fraiches, confiture maison... un petit pavillon décoré avec gout et très bien équipée, au calme dans la verdure normande ,point de départ de nombreuse ballades (mémorial de Caen, Bayeux, bocage) et proche de la côte et son petit port de pêche de courseulles

Séjour très agréable

La maison située à Cairon près de Caen est décorée avec goût , fonctionnelle et pratique. L'environnement très agréable et calme. Très bonne

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour , la propriétaire très accueillante , le gite est super bien équipé en cuisine et loisirs: table de ping pong ect Beaucoup d'occupations autour: la mer, plages du débarquement , le mémorial , la belle ville de Caen Nous y reviendrons certainement!!!!!!!!
