The Tree House is an absolute gem of a property near Paso Robles, CA. The house itself is cozy, quaint and quirky. And by quirky, imagine a bathroom made from a water cistern that uses converted motorcycle parts to turn on and off the water, decor that features everything from a metal moose head to antique cameras to hand grenades and tree growing right through the sunroom! As if that wasn’t magical enough, you have access to a huge saltwater pool surrounded by beautiful vegetation and a private hot tub.
The hosts clearly have put a lot of love into this property and it shows. Charmaine was amazing to communicate with and even had a bottle of local wine for us when we got there.
I can’t say enough nice things about the Tree House and we look forward to going back!
My wife and I loved our hideaway. It was easy to get to the Atascadero, Templeton, and Paso area wineries. The pool was a great hangout, especially as it was hot outside during our stay.
This place was everything as described only better !! they have thought of everything at The Tree Cabin, we had our own personal resort style back yard, the pool is amazing !!! we will most definitely be back. We have traveled to many places across the country and stayed at many homes most of which have been very nice, but this home exceeded our expectations, Not only the home but the surrounding area you really felt like you are in the countryside but everything is within a nice drive in any direction, a must go if you are in the Templeton, Paso, region !!!
We got to the location and loved the cabin! Directions were spot on. It was my wife’s birthday two days after we arrived and waiting for us was a bottle of wine and a birthday card!! The pool was fantastic. We loved the cattle across the street and laughed when we saw a ZEBRA!!! Communication was fantastic! We’ve already recommended it to several friends!!
What a fun cabin! The attention to detail made it feel like a special oasis. The hosts are amazing and left special touches with my name on a letter board welcoming us, a bottle of wine, they have a book explaining some of their favorite spots and things to do in the area. The cabin is on a beautiful property that has just as much gorgeous detail as the cabin does. From the fire pit area to the pool. Even though it is on the host’s property it feels like you have the place to yourself. Charmaine and Craig were so helpful with any needs and communicated well. The cabin is located in such a great spot. It’s in the middle of an area that is a perfect distance from everything you would want to see in that area. I would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.
My girlfriend and I loved this little gem tucked off in the vineyards. It’s an amazing place to getaway for a while and it’s so close to Paso Robles or slo which is perfect If you looking to go wine tasting.
This was our second time staying at this lovely cabin. It was just as magical as the first time! It’s become a special retreat for us and plan on making this our regular getaway.
This was the place where we took our trip together and it was the right choice. It was the perfect place to continue making memories, including getting engaged !
My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Tree Cabin over the thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. The place looked unique when we saw the photos and we picked it over a few other options. So happy that we chose it for several reasons.
The cabin is clearly a labor of love, with the craftsmanship that is shown in the construction (I loved the rustic look of the lag bolts and malleable washers) , along with the decorations and attention to detail to making the most of the space.
As others have said , this is a perfect place for a couple, but a comfy futon in the little living room would work for a kid (but leave them at home if you can) The outside area is an oasis. It was too cold in November to take advantage of the amazing looking pool but we took advantage of the hot tub outside our bedroom both nights.
The bathroom is super fun. You need to see it to really appreciate it. There’s another equally cool bathroom down by the pool that we did not use.
The location is also nicely situated to be able to get to most everywhere you need to be in under 15 minutes. We definitely want to revisit this venue again in the warmer months to hang out at the in the pool area and take advantage of other amenities .
The highest recommendation I can give, is that we have lots of friends that go to Paso on a regular basis; and the selfish side of me makes me want to NOT let them know about this place.
My husband and I found the Cabin to be in a great spot for our Paso destination. In fact, it was nice to be just a couple of exits off of the main winery drag (46) as well as only a few miles from downtown PR. As the listing notes, it's not a great place for food -- you'll need to go into PR or Templeton, but we only went into downtown Paso. The place itself is so clean and provides just about everything you can think of that you might need (and everything you didn't know might be interesting), all in two small rooms. I point out the size so that other guests understand that functionally, you've got the best of a suite packed into the size of a hotel room. It's so much more though as well. The grounds are beautiful -- and the pool, hot tub and stone cave shower are the best I have ever experienced anywhere! It's like a resort all to yourself. Communication with Charmaine was instant, and friendly, and she went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed. Know that you're getting it all packed into a small space sitting atop a huge property with a glorious pool and waterfall beneath your toes as you stand on your porch watching the marine layer roll in and the sun dunking into the horizon like a pink and purple tea bag (oh, and the coffee tea bags are good too!).
We had the very best time staying in this cozy cabin! The owners are super responsive and just the nicest people. They've created this peaceful, private little gem, which feels a little like a mountain getaway but also a little tropical with the refreshing and beautiful pool, which was perfect during the summer. Charmaine thought of everything, even down to reading glasses and ear plugs on each nightstand. We will be back for sure!!
Cozy cabin in resort like setting, with beautiful and well kept grounds, as well as large clean pool. Small kitchen area with microwave and hot water heater, attached to sitting area upon entrance, and lofted bedroom (two stairs) with a very comfortable bed. Numerous small details included, like gourmet coffee bags, creamer, shampoo, etc.
Attached bathroom is very cool (hard to explain), but a toad small, however, down a few exterior stairs is an by the pools is an additional bad and show, which is the one we used most.
Seems to be hundreds of antiques scattered about; my favorite was the gas powered iron.
Parking was ample and directly located at side door entrance.
Highly recommend for a couple wanting a romatic stay in wine country; Paso Robles less than 15 minutes away.
My Fiance and I really enjoyed are stay in this eclectic cabin . So many unique features like the amazing shower .We loved the pool view and hot tub. Would love to stay again
My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of our two-night stay in this unique property! We brought our bikes and cycled to a number of very nearby wineries, then made every effort to spend the rest of our time at the tree house cabin. There are scenic views from every window. We enjoyed a swim in the pool as waterfalls cascaded around us and relaxed in our private hot tub just outside the bedroom. The property is lovely and quiet. Lots of trees and bird life! The owner was very responsive to our questions. Enjoy the many unique details of this property, including a bathroom made from a water tank! Five stars in every aspect.
This cabin was the best we ever been to, it was beautiful and yet so cozy. The land scape that surround it was also beautiful, we can’t wait to go back in the summer to utilize the pool. What a great relaxing getaway.
We enjoyed three nights in this cozy cabin in Templeton, on the outskirt of Paso Robles.
It was comfortably appointed, unique and Charmaine even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. We enjoyed the spa at the end of a long and fun day. Thank you to Charmaine for your hospitality and welcoming us to your home. We would highly recommend this property!
The romantic cabin was perfect for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the wine country. When we walked through doors, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne on ice and flowers. The room was immaculate and every little detail had been provided to make our stay very comfortable and romantic. We can’t say enough good things about the accommodations and Charmaine and Craig were amazing hosts. We did not want to leave, and will for sure return in the future.
The cabin is super cute with a LOOOT of focus on details. My favorite was the bathroom build from an old water-tank. More than enough room for 2 people and may 1 - 2 small kids would not recommend it for 4 adults. The pool is awesome - unfortunately we had 2 days of rain but still enjoyed the jacuzzi.
We had a wonderful anniversary. My wife and I just celebrated our 1 year and Charmaine and Craig made it so special with flowers and a bottle of champagne. Not to mention the coziest little cabin and stunning pool landscape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get away from the noise and enjoy the country, Wine Country!! Thanks so much!!
This is a very special place perhaps not for everyone but for a couple looking for a unique escape in the countryside they will find a thoughtfully decorated cabin overlooking a manicured landscaped setting. The highlight is the pool and spa
This cabin is indescribable… Every nuance was perfect. The bathroom/shower is an architectural overload and so unique. Quaint, cozy and the perfect getaway from the busy LA lifestyle.
My sister and I had a wonderful getaway in Templeton! The property is amazing, and I highly recommend setting aside some time to enjoy the fabulous pool. We spent almost a whole day enjoying the outdoor space.
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of our first anniversary. It was everything you want in a small getaway. Quiet, cozy, relaxing, beautiful. The owners were very accommodating, the property was beautifully kept, the pool was perfect. We would stay here time and time again.
