Our family has enjoyed this community for over 50 years and recently saved a circa 1740 historic home by moving it to our 150’ of water access property preserving the rich history and charm. One of the “Three Sisters” literally moved from her view of Stage Harbor to her new home on Sears Road.

We blended old with new to create a 5 bedroom experience with a modern kitchen, wine fridge, fireplace, screen porch and everything you would expect and more from a home in Cape Cod. Enjoy the beautiful private beach and test the waters via kayak or stand up paddleboards. For the adventurous, bring your own boat and stretch a line or enjoy beautiful waters and beaches.

Enjoy walks to town or biking along the waterfront. Kitchen for the ultimate foodie: wine fridge, farm sink, duel ovens, kitchen gadgets and stocked spices. Enjoy an outdoor shower.

2 Paddleboards and 3 Kayaks are included for the week that can be launched right off the property for a beautiful paddle around stage harbor and oyster pond. A Waiver must be signed in order to use the watercraft.

Fantastic location and house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We traveled with three other couples who never been to Chatham before. The house has a great open concept, allowing for lots of time together. The two bedrooms on the main floor are a great size for cape homes. The kitchen is perhaps one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever experienced. We even ordered lobster dinners one night and the house had everything from crackers to butter dishes. One of the best features is the private beach a short walk from the house. We dozed off a few afternoons basking in the sun and watching the boats go by. We would definitely be back if booking again in Chatham.

Much-loved and very historic home- WE SO ENJOYED!!!

My family has been renting in Chatham for over 20 years now- and we have never stayed in this area of town but knew exactly where it was from many years of bike rides along Cedar Road and heading down the hill where Stage Harbor suddenly fills your sight - and takes your breath away! Our group was small this year- me, one of my grown sons and my grown daughter and husband and their almost 3 year old son. ( she being 7 months pregnant with twins). The house is so comfortable with every every up- to- date amenity imaginable: - chefs kitchen that is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glasses, serving and baking dishes etc. - open and spacious floor plan kitchen/family room area with huge TV and awesome SONOS sound system as well - central AC that works great! - super soft sheets sets that we all really loved and appreciated The original part of this historic home was moved to this location and the addition of the new kitchen/family room and master bedroom was well thought out and melds so well with the original part of the house. The original area of the house contains the dining room and another master with full bath on first floor, charming stairway up to 3 more bedrooms and one full bath. There are pocket doors between the old and new parts of the house- we closed them in the evening after little one went to sleep upstairs. We loved the original hardwood floors that creaked when walked on, the cozy lower ceilings and basically just enjoyed feeling the history of this house. The screen porch is accessible via the family room, the master bedroom and also from the pebbled patio. Great morning coffee spot! This home is part of an enclave of beautiful homes- and has access to a private Stage Harbor beach a few minutes walk from the house. It was a little buggy in the evenings- the no- seeums kind of bugs- we usually vacation in late July or early August so that could be why... and they somehow even got into the screen porch so do bring your bug spray if bugs like you as they do me. Great new washer and dryer right off the family room was super convenient as well. Gwyn was always available and very responsive to the few questions that we did have. A GREAT HOUSE. Alot to be said for renting a home that is NOT in town- it is a peaceful setting and town is a few minutes drive away as are multiple town beaches - and easy access to Route 6 for Ocean beaches. Go walking in any direction in the early mornings as well. GREAT RENTAL!

Immaculate house, great location, great neighborhood!

Beautifully built/renovated, walkable to town. Plenty of space and great layout for the 8 of us (including 5 teenagers). Loved spending evenings in the screened-in porch, and made good use of the gym in the basement. Gwynn was super responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Family perfect near the water

Such a lovely home—perfect for a wide age range—so close to the beach and easy walk to town. Loved the kayaks and coffee or cocktails on the screened in porch.

Phenomenal Home & Hosts

We loved this home so much last year that we decided to enjoy it again this summer. The house is fantastic, and updated throughout. It reflects a beautiful mix of traditional Cape, and gorgeous new renovation. It is chock-full of amenities and fully stocked for cooking, entertaining, and playing . The hosts are extraordinarily responsive and truly care about their guests having a wonderful vacation. As a family of five with three young children we highly recommend this home for a family vacation .

What a wonderful home in an idyllic setting in Chatham. Very clean and thoughtfully equipped with all the modern conveniences one would expect. Great location (quiet) on a harbor, close to town. Comfortable. The owners were also very reachable and answered all our questions. Highly recommended. Beautiful Chatham family vacation

Beautiful home with amazing history in a great location in our favorite town. The home has a fresh beach style, comfortable furnishings and surroundings. We loved hanging out in the screened porch. This is a great home and the perfect setting for the ideal Cape vacation.

The house is located perfectly on Stage Harbor providing easy water access to nearby Morris Island and one of the truly great East Coast venues on the cut between Monomoy and Chatham. The owner has a long tenure in the area and has built a beautiful home with everything a family could want. The house has every modern amenity (including the somewhat rare for the Cape central ac) and is the result of building onto a historic Cape residence that satisfies any desire for an authentic New England experience. The owners’ thoughtful provision of kayaks and paddle boards made the week perfect for our family. Chatham is a great town and this is the perfect place to experience it. We had a great week and would highly recommend the property to anyone looking in the area.

Why they chose this property

This is in a very secluded area of town and built on family property generations owned with lots of nature and forests around to include a private beach. We rent our home only for a few weeks a year as we primarily keep it for private use so there are a lot of extra amenities not found in most vacation rentals.
