Family-friendly, 1 mile from Intercourse Village and Kitchen Kettle PA

Relax and enjoy our guest house in the beautiful Lancaster County countryside. This spacious home is perfect for large families and is close to it all with lots of beautiful sightseeing in the Amish community and the village of Intercouse. On the main floor you can enjoy cooking in our well stocked kitchen and enjoy each other’s company at the large dining room table that seats 12. (We also keep a child’s high chair there if needed) Also on the main floor is a large living room with a flatscreen tv, a full bathroom, laundry room and an enclosed office with a futon bed. The upstairs consists of 5 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The large backyard is perfect for family games and campfires. (Firewood provided) There’s plenty to see and do or just relax on the front porch and enjoy the surrounding fields and pastures and watch the buggies go by. We would be honored to have you as our guest!

Nearby:we are one mile from the village of Intercourse where you can find the well known kitchen kettle village, an Amish grocery store, a community park, and many unique shops and dining.
Enjoy some fresh homemade ice cream from Lapp Valley Farms only 2.6 miles away. (They also have a brand new location as of August 2022, only one mile down the road!) If you go at the right time you can watch the cows being milked or watch them make ice cream!

Lovely Lodging

5 stars across the board for our stay in this beautiful home. Very clean and roomy for a large family and so many supplies for guests to use as needed. The kids and adults had a great time and would certainly return.

Great for extended family

We had a lovely visit with my parents, kids, aunt and uncle. The house was cozy and clean and big enough for 11 of us to spread out, even though we spent most of our time visiting in the large kitchen around the table. It was the perfect setting for our after-Christmas family trip to sight and sound theater. Thank you for the delicious gingerbread cookies. Highly recommend this home to large families. We would love to come visit again next year!

Family Christmas in Amish Country

We were a family of ten: grandparents, parents, and children who chose this house as our place to celebrate Christmas a few days after the holiday itself. The location is great, convenient to attractions in Lancaster County. The house is spacious and well kept. We were given a warm welcome, which included some home-made treats left for us on our arrival. We appreciate that all of the linens are supplied and we did not need to wash them before our departure. We would seriously consider booking this house again for another holiday gathering. Thank you to our VRBO hosts!

Home away from home

This house was perfect for our low maintenance bachelorette party. With 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen stocked with all the tools we needed, we were able to gather and relax. The hosts are amazing- so nice and responsive. 3

The host was very welcoming. The property was extremely clean. Come with supplies and appliances to make our stay comfortable fresh linens, and towels, bathroom supplies our family truly enjoyed Thanksgiving at this house five stars We will be staying again. We enjoyed being able to stay in a home that allowed our family to stay in one location. There were plenty of rooms for us. We also enjoyed being able to enjoy watching movies together in the living room and sharing meals in the dining room.

This is a great home!

This is by far my favorite rental! Nice, big, clean, and very homey! We will definitely stay here again. My kids did not want to leave! The house was stocked with everything need and even items you may have forgotten! We made great memories. Highly recommend this home!

Absolutely Perfect

We come to Lancaster for Sight and Sound every year. We’ve stayed a few places, but this was by far the best. The location was conveniently located near restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and the theater. It was exceptionally clean. The beds were impressively comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies and some basic pantry items. The rooms were spacious. Lastly, the hospitality was unmatched. We enjoyed getting to know the owners’ parents who live next door as well. They are some of the sweetest people you’ll meet. When we come back next year, we plan to stay here if it’s available.

WONDERFUL STAY!!

This was a wonderful experience for us. The house was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and made you feel like you were coming home whenever arriving back after an outing. The cookies were AMAZING , and those along with the welcoming note were an added joy to this place. Definitely will be looking to book in the future.

This is one of the best properties I've ever stayed in. The owner John and his parents were so obliging. They left us delicious whoopie pies and were so available to help us when we first arrived. The house is large, clean, and comfortable. Wr loved sitting around the dining table chatting and just enjoying our time together. Will definitely be back if I can.

Annual Siblings Getaway

We’re a family of 5 siblings. One brother and five sisters. Ages 59-75. This year we chose Lancaster as our two night getaway (siblings only) and fell in love with this beautiful house! The cleanest rental we have ever experienced, well organized and every necessity you can think of is provided! Not to mention a delicious baked good waiting for us! The location was ideal and the home was utterly perfect for the 5 of us. Lots of memories, laughs and love were shared and we will be back next year as we’ve found a gem!

Absolutely perfect Lancaster home!

We absolutely loved our stay in this home. Every single detail was carefully thought out and there was nothing that we could have wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious house, huge backyard, seeing the horses and getting to meet the owner's parents. The house was immaculately clean and decorated with so many special touches, including the delicious woopie pies. The owners/property manager replied to messages extremely fast. We look forward to staying again on our next trip to the area and will definitely recommend to others.

Perfection !!!

If I could give them a 100 star rating, I would. This was the perfect stay yet. We have rented from a lot of vacation rentals and this past stay was our best ever. The hosts, who I consider friends now, were just so friendly and sweet. The location is perfect as it's out of the village but within 1 mile so it's close by the Kitchen Kettle. The home had everything you can think of for a vacation rental so you can pack a bag and just enjoy your stay. So nice and clean. They have thought of it all for a vacation rental. It has a large livingroom and diningroom for gathering as well as the back yard. The beds were all super comfortable and spotless. We had a group of 5 family members ranging ages 50-90 and we all enjoyed our own room. I can't praise this stay enough. The people, the house, the location and the fun we had were spot on. Thank you again to Mr. and Mrs. Esh for making our stay so pleasant and we look forward to seeing you again.

Perfect for a "Senior" ladies reunion

Welcoming, clean, spacious, comfortable home in the midst of Amish country in Lancaster County. Perfect place for 4 longtime friends from Rhode Island to Florida to stay for a wonderful reunion. Helpful and friendly owners, definitely recommend.

Wonderful Weekend

We really enjoyed our weekend at the property. There was a small issue with our code not working on the door when we arrived, but this was quickly resolved by the property manager and later on, the property owner dropped by to ensure we were settling in okay and to personally apologize for the inconvenience. We really enjoyed the personal touches and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, quiet property with great amenities and responsive management.
