Located in historic High Falls, NY, on Leggett Road, one of the loveliest roads in the area, is your private cottage. Just renovated, it has all new amenities. The location is steps away from the rail trail where you can bike or walk. Stone Ridge and High Falls are a half-mile away for all your shopping. Situated between the majestic Shawangunks and the Catskills; outdoor activities and farmers markets abound. With over 1000 sq. ft., it has a new kitchen with gas stove and griddle and a totally new bathroom. You can have your morning coffee and evening cocktails on a private bluestone patio overlooking a horse farm. The interior space has tons of daylight and is a delight to just hang out in. The furnishings are comfortable modern with lots of contemporary art objects. The hosts, who are both established artists, have studios, which are just next-door. Parking and WIFI are included. If you like to cook this is a fully equipped kitchen with outdoor barbecue as well.

Leggett cottage

We enjoyed our time at the “artists den”. It’s clean and cozy and the location was perfect for our Minnewaska adventure. Lovely cottage in a stunning area

Great location!

Our stay was everything we needed and wanted. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed and the owners were friendly. We throughly enjoyed being close to the rail trail and managed to explore it several times during our stay. We certainly hope to stay here again the next time we are in High Falls.

We had an wonderful stay at the property while we visited friends in Wallkill. It was exactly as described- very clean, nice quiet setting, etc. We met Anat when she checked in to see how we were doing, and she was very nice and kind; we would absolutely stay here again!

The house is a well appointed one bedroom with a nicely done kitchen and kitchen equipment. The layout is comfortable and the host's art and the other art in the home makes it a fun place to stay. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly return!

Perfect little cottage, perfect location.

We have stayed at this cottage multiple times. It's very well kept and in a good location - right next to a rail trail that you can ride to Hurley (George Washington had a party there). From the patio you can watch horses prancing on the property next door. If you need anything, there is a market a few minutes away. The High Falls food co-op is even closer. Rosendale trestle and cement mines are not far. Or drive a little further to the magnificent Ashokan Reservoir. The hosts are lovely people.

Great cozy home

I enjoyed my stay at Anat’s house, it was comfortable and well equipped. It is situated close to the Catskills, Gunks and not far from Kingston and New Paltz.

Wonderful relaxing cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Anat and Jamie's 1 bedroom cottage in High Falls. The location is fantastic (right near a bike trail) and we enjoyed total privacy while knowing the owners were close by if we needed anything. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, clean and charming. We are planning to return soon!

Mini getaway

It’s always a pleasure to stay here. Even on a rainy day we can sit on the porch, sip tea, and admire the beautiful trees on the lawn. Great location. Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. We plan on coming back.

Wonderful place to stay

We were in the area for a weekend workshop at the Enneagram Institute at « The Barn ». This cottage was perfect for us - in a beautiful location and close to our workshop. It was clean (spotless) and nicely decorated with some artwork by the owner. For those who like to cook, there is a well-stocked kitchen and BBQ and a private patio to enjoy. We had a great stay and hope to stay again when we are in the area.

Nice space a little a bit off the main road. Quiet. Clean and well supplied kitchen. Downside: small TV (are you really there to watch TV?) and only fair water pressure.

My husband, Jamie, and I are both artists. I teach in the Art Department at SUNY New Paltz. I have lived in the area since 2003 and my husband since 1985. The cottage is lovely: It has a new kitchen and bath a lovely bedroom and open space for kitchen dining and living room. The garden is beautiful and the back patio has a view to the neighbouring horse farm. The location is private but close enough to food coop and the rail trail is 2 minutes away by foot.
