Suburban-Feel · Greenspace · Treelined · Historic · Low-Density Neighborhood · Affordable home is located in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Irving Park is a quiet, family-oriented residential neighborhood located on the North Side of Chicago. You will find some bars and restaurants scattered throughout the residential areas as well as grocery stores, convenient stores, pharmacies, and shops located on the main drags (Irving Park, Elston, and Addison).
My parents have lived here for 35 years and they have never had any safety issues. They are both retired and travel!
If you are renting a car during your stay you'll find street parking to be easy and convenient.
CVS, Walgreens, and Tony's (grocery store) are all within walking distance. You will find some coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood but candidly speaking if you're looking for a "nightlife scene" Irving Park does not offer much of one.
You can cab, Uber, or walk to public transportation (10-minute walk to blue line train) to get anywhere in the city inside of 15 minutes.
******************Chicago has a new law that you have to pay for any bags for your purchases. Please, Be prepared for this. I would like for you save your bags if you can leave them under the kitchen sink> for other quest to use while they come in town. Thank you
