A Story of Resilience: The Two Brothers’ Legacy

The story of Two Brothers Pool Lodge is one of family, perseverance, and rebirth. Originally built in 2012 by brothers Stan and Jim, the lodge was envisioned as a place where families could gather, celebrate, and enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. Inspired by their childhood memories of camping and storytelling under the stars, the brothers poured their hearts into creating a one-of-a-kind retreat.

For six years, their vision thrived. The lodge became a sought-after destination, known for its luxurious accommodations and warm hospitality. But in 2018, tragedy struck—a devastating fire engulfed the cabin, reducing it to ashes. The loss was heartbreaking, but the brothers refused to let their dream die.

With unwavering determination, they rebuilt the lodge from the ground up in 2019, incorporating even more luxury and modern comforts while preserving the heart and soul of the original cabin. Today, Two Brothers Pool Lodge stands as a testament to resilience, offering an even grander escape for those seeking the perfect blend of luxury and nature in the Smoky Mountains.

Whether you’re visiting for relaxation or adventure, this remarkable retreat promises an unparalleled experience in one of Tennessee’s most scenic destinations.

The cabin was roomy. Pool was great. Small lodge had problems with wall ac leaking and wetting the.

The photos were hard to follow in the site. It would have been better if the cabin pictures were noted and the small cottage shown separate. The bathrooms we found to need cleaned better and the showers had bad wood from water. The wood was black. Otherwise we had very nice accommodations.

Family Reunion!

We loved this property and had a PHENOMENAL time for our family reunion. We had people ranging in ages from 79-6 and it was loved by all. The game room was a huge hit with the kids and we all had so much space to spread out but still enjoy each other. It honestly felt like a home away from home. The only two pieces of constructive feedback were that we never got the hot tub to work (it was luke warm) and even though mgmt did come to check it out, it never got hot. Second, there is a groundskeeper who is there every day. She was respectful and it wasn't a huge deal but from a privacy standpoint I wish we had just known that in advance! Otherwise anytime we had a question, management responded within 20 minutes which was amazing and so appreciated. Highly recommend this house for your large group stays!

Overall - We Enjoyed Our Stay 🙂

We celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary at this location. Great location and property. We enjoyed the hot tub, private pool, the rooms with private bathrooms, the kitchen facilities, and theater room complete with really cool retro game machines very much. Manager answered questions quickly. One complaint was the cleanliness. Because I suspect the property is rented continuously through the summer, you really need a large professional team to come in and do a thorough sanitizing/cleaning in the six hours between rentals. Floors were very dirty, it was dusty, glass tabletops were dirty underneath, stoves needed some work. We wore shoes inside all week and left it cleaner than when we got there. One other thing was the age of some of the furnishings, especially outside by the pool. Sitting out in the hot Tennessee sun wears things out quickly - and we experienced that as multiple chairs broke the minute a person sat down in them. We learned to avoid certain furniture and managed to still find enough for all the family members hanging out by the pool to be happy. The pool area needs some serious TLC - weeding, landscaping, sprucing up, updating the gazebos - the pool area did not match the “2 million dollar cabin” atmosphere. Finally, we had issues in the cottage with one of the air conditioner units. A window unit did the job, but the wall unit kept leaking; the residents found mushrooms in the tub and moved elsewhere. Overall, we were satisfied and had a great time.

Could be Great

This is our 28th family reunion. 20 adults and 8 kids all under 8 yrs old. Plenty of room, good location up in the mauntain. The place could use a major detailing. Anything above 5 ft. needs dusting (ceiling fans, bathroom vents, wood beams ect.). Some of the furniture could be replaced. Outdoor and pool chairs are worn. The pics on the site is accurate but thats when it was new. The lodge looks tired and dated and in need of major cleaning and refurbishing. The owners need to tinvest money back into the lodge. Staff (Stan, Bob and Misio) was great and responded to all our request.

Great for gathering large group

32 people fit comfortably. Common spaces accommodated us all. Many reviews talked about cleanliness. In the off season it may need a good dusting in the high up spots, but it was clean. Communication was exceptional. Stan was very quick to respond to questions or needs. One thing I would suggest is adding a floor plan including the cottage layout to the pictures Overall we had a great stay!

Amazing family reunion

Our family reunion was amazing. Great place to stay for a week. Close to everything and very roomy. Accommodate our large family without everyone crammed into cluttered rooms. Plenty of space to get away to your own room and room for all to gather in the main room. Thanks again for an awesome stay.

2023 Family Reunion

28 of us gathered in Tennessee for a family reunion. After a long search for a house that would work for our size of group, we decided on the Two Brothers house and cabin. The house was large and we loved that each bedroom had a full bathroom. The kitchen and dining area were awesome. And the younger ones really loved the games and movie area. We tried to overlook that the house was in dire need of a good cleaning and the kitchen needs a lot of cleaning and cooking items. The cabin was extremely crowded with no privacy for those who stayed in it. It also needs cleaning and a lot of attention. The owner was very quick to respond to any requests that were made, and the pool was very nice. The other house on the property was very close so we were uncomfortable at first, but it worked out fine. We did enjoy the area, the property was a bit out of the way, the road very hilly and curvy, but all in all, it worked out well. The property has a lot of potential, just in need of mostly cleaning and better supplies.

Great Reunion House

This was an ideal reunion location. 23 family members across three generations stayed in the house for a week. It accommodated singles, couples, and families with kids. Every bedroom had its own bathroom. Everyone loved the pool and the hot tub. It was spacious enough for group gatherings, meals, games, etc. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cookware and refrigerators, and common areas were large enough to accommodate our large group. There were also several places people could go to be alone or away from the group. The kids loved the arcade games. This was a great accommodation for a large gathering to enjoy the area (hikes, Dollywood, Gatlinburg). We appreciated the quick attention of the host when we had questions or concerns.

not worth the price

The property's size, bedrooms, baths is as advertised. The location was disappointing as it is not secluded and the picture does not show all the electric and telephone lines with their poles. Another cabin is just across the driveway. The property describes itself as "This is a 5 star, million dollar, brand new cabin. Very high end." It is very used. The beds are more used, soft and lumpy. The baths were clean but the refrigerators and cabin doors were not clean. The pool was unusable when we arrived and we had to wait a day to use it. It had to be cleaned a second time due to algae so we lost two days of pool use due to an unclean pool. The water pump blew a gasket and flooded two bedrooms. Maintenance did respond but it took awhile. We also had to suggest maybe a dehumidifier and fans to dry up all the excess water that seeped up from underneath the floor when stepped on. If we had been at a hotel we would have been reimbursed for the inconvenience. The ranges had their own mind about what temp to cook at. You set the top burner at low but it cooked at high so you had to be careful. The same applied to the gas grill. One refrigerator had an unworking ice maker. Why wasn't it fixed? No scenic views. The property manager was quick to respond to the issues but there were just too many issues for the price.

Zolladay

This was a multi generational family trip that we try to do on an annual basis. This house is beautiful, meets the needs of a large family, and has lots of things you can do in the house as well as all around in the great smoky mountains. Since it was such a busy weekend, being spring break, it was wonderful that there were so many things to do on the property as well as being convenient to trails and hiking. Something for everyone.

Perfect Gathering Space for Large Group

This large cabin provided our group with the desired space/configuration we needed. The number of bedrooms/bathrooms was a real plus. Hot tub is nicely maintained. Lots of tvs- wifi great. Multiple refrigerators & wine cooler perfect. The kitchen had an enormous amount of cookware, dishes, and utensils. It could use a second 12 cup coffee pot, There were ample clean sheets and towels. We loved all the available table seating. The cabin does need some attention-a good deep cleaning & refresh. Kitchen surfaces were wiped down but there was alot of dust on lamps, ceiling fans, televisions, woodwork, etc. Stoves work but greasy filters and drawers. Several of the heating units did not provide enough heat for some--all bedroom units need filters changed and/or cleaned. a small heater in each room would probably be a good idea. We used the ones that were there. Dishwasher not installed correctly and falls forward when door is down if you aren't careful. The cottage had no coffee pot and minimal equipment. The dvd in theatre room was replaced while we were there but the sound bar did not function. (we only watched one movie one night during our stay and didn't worry about it) The owner(s) of this property are extremely helpful & quick to respond. They want your experience to be a good one and address any issues brought to their attention. Bob (onsite) was also very helpful. Our group would consider staying there again. If you need a large place, this would be hard to beat.

We had a wonderful time! The place accomodated all of us nicely. 2 of the 3 arcade games did not work which is why I scored it 4/5. The kids were bummed about that. But otherwise, it was nice to have a large space for all of us.

Eye Catching Spacious Cabin

Easy process to rent with a generous cancellation period. Cabin along with the cottage offers a plethora of sleeping space for large groups. The cabin’s crowning jewel is the large kitchen/serving area making the social hub area super accommodating. Wrap around porch with rockers adds outdoor visits easy. With constant use this beautiful cabin shows wear and neglected care. Dishwasher is not installed safely, tips easily when door is opened, cookware is plentiful but most is overused with surface deterioration. Bring your own for cooking success! Same with handheld mixer, only one beater stem found. Since it was Fall, we used the heating systems in each of the bedrooms. They were coated in visible dark dust that smelled burnt when in use. The handicap-accessible bedroom heater was non-functioning. Extra blankets went to that person. At the time we were there, the gas fireplace was not usable. Loved the three refrigerators! Stoves are used hard, but operating. Plenty of toasters, coffee maker ( but the cottage didn’t have a coffee maker) Two clothing hangers found in the whole cabin and cottage. Bring your own. Consider some Command Hooks to help hanging space in the upper cottage bedroom (left). Hot tub is well maintained. Our guests complained about noise in the lower level back bedroom near the water heater that kept sleep disturbed. Hope this helps the owners as they prepare for their next arriving guests and to better prepare the large groups that gather in this beauty!! ( I’d love to organize the kitchen labeling the cabinet doors and drawers just like is done in most community used cooking areas!) All the best!!!
