Family visit to Kent
The property was clean with ample space to accommodate me, my elderly mum and my sister. The garden is a spacious area to relax when the weather allows. Table, chairs, umbrella and relaxing chairs are all available as well as a selection of games in the garage for those with a younger family. An overall good experience.

Ideal stay
Ideal stay for us with two older granchidren .short walk to sea .stroll down prom to the small but lovely little town. Bungalow itself ,very clean and perfect for us with 3 bedrooms ,easy to get to in a quite area exept when ship pub has its music on! ,which we listened to in the lovely enclosed garden and enjoyed just on Saturday evening.plenty of extras.beach toys etc in the garage for kiddies inclufing body boards. Just to be aware information on vrbo is wrong as it states theres no wifi which is incorrect hence the 4 star on review .this is being dealt with by the owners, it does say theres wifi on details but when booked says there isnt ,so dont take any notice . Love dymchurch and this bungalow is ideal.

Clean and comfortable place to stay. With ample room for a family
We had a great time at this Bungalow. A nice sized secure garden was good for the kids to play in. The surrounding area had plenty to do and enjoy for our three generations. Easy to walk to the beach, and close enough to pop back if we forgot something. Wouldl definitely stay here again.

Great Location
Lovely clean and bright property. Kitted out well with all essentials. Property is in a great location being so close to the beach and only a short walk along the beach, sea wall or main road into the centre of Dymchurch. The inclusion of the beach toys (body boards, buckets, spades etc) was a particularly nice addition. I only only one criticism, and a very small one at that. A pint of milk on arrival would have been nice. All in all a lovely relaxing week. We would happily re-visit and hope we can soon.

great location, clean bungalow with all utilities
Lovely bungalow, spotlessly clean nicely furnished and decorated, far better than the normal holiday properties we stay in. Double bed was very comfortable after a long day out and the 2nd television a real treat. Dymchurch and area was very pretty and unspoilt with lots to do and explore. The owners had thought of everything walk books, maps and even a tide table. The beach is all flat, sand and easy to walk on, lovely for children. We had a lovely holiday and would return without a doubt, already thinking about a September break

Fabulous Break In Kent
This property really is a home from home. It is the most comfortable, well-equipped and tastefully decorated property we have stayed in. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, warm (we were there in October) and ideally situated to walk to the beach. The location is also a perfect base for exploring the countryside with lots of lovely walks and cycle routes. Also easy to travel to Canterbury. A trip to Rye is well worth the visit with it's pretty streets and individual shops. Highly recommended.

Autumn in Dymchurch & District
One of the best holiday properties we have ever stayed at, just like being in our own bungalow.Spick and span when we arrived Everything you need is here all you need to get is food great bakery in village,a Tesco in the village also a pub at the end of the road So many places to visit in this part of kent. Canterbury a must as is going for a walk on the white cliffs at Dover. The Hythe to Dungeness Railway open at weekends a great ride also a visit to the NNR at Dungeness birds arriving every day. Go for a safari ride at Port Lymphe animal park & then you have one of the best sea wall walks in kent just 2 minutes away and the best beach in kent. HOME FROM HOME
I took my very elderly parents for a weekend break. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and extremely well furnished. It was like home from home. Great range of equipment all of good quality plenty of games and dvds if you want them. Few minutes walk up to the beach unfortunately my parents couldnt manage it as it is quite a slope up but ideal for families and more mobile people!! Owners very efficient answered emails immediately and cleaning deposit refunded promptly. Thoroughly recommend a visit to Dobbies garden centre in Ashford fantastic range of gifts/foods/plants etc and great restaurant. Situated in small retail park where there is a cinema and a Beafeater. Would recommend to anyone.

A delightful,homely,relaxing stay
Summer arrived at last for our week and second stay at this delightful detached 3 bedroom bungalow on a private estate with a homely cosy feel and large secluded garden. The accomodation was clean, fully equipped and well maintained. New comfortable leather sofas in the living room have been a big improvement as have the new digital TV's. (Can now get all the channels including 5....no more interference with French TV....on the contrary you can now get all their channels too!) With the weather so good this became a really relaxing stay with sunbathing the order of the day in either the garden or beautiful sandy beach, just 200 meters away. Things were so good and chilled that there was no need to runaround and visit places just because we had to as we were on holiday! All in all we would recommend this property to all. Put it this way we will certainly be re-booking for next year! Carol and Alan Kirkpatrick ..................North London

The Perfect Holiday Rental
My Sister and I had a wonderful stay in your holiday bungalow. The beds were very comfy and the property contained every home comfort we could possibly need. It was all done to a very high standard. The only problem we had was the TV which only had BBC 1 & 2, however this really didnt cause us any great concern. We hope to return sometime in the Autumn..........Lovely!

A Great Seaside Break
This property is clean, well equiped, comfortable and is in a quiet location. It is very close to an extensive clean sandy beach. Adjacent to the beach is a seawall which provides the opportunity for pleasant walks. The surrounding area, Romney Marsh and beyond, is interesting and variable. The bungalow is in a great location for a family holiday. Staying here, for a week in May, was very enjoyable and I would like to make a return visit.

Best on Romney Marsh
My sister, who was visiting from U.S.A , and I have stayed in many properties on Romney Marsh, but this holiday property is the best so far. Very clean, well equipped and good links to various towns. There was plenty of board games and books to read, which was just as well as it rained for all but two days of our fortnights holiday.

Perfect seaside retreat
We found the bungalow very clean and tidy. It was fitted out with all you would need. There is a nice private enclosed garden which is nice to sit in and listen to the birds singing. If you are looking for a beach there as one just minutes from the front door, I mean walking minutes and when you get there you will see sand as for as you can see, with a new promenade if you do not want to get sandy feet. A short trip from the bungalow and you can explore places like Dungeness, Rye, Hastings, Hythe and Folkstowe, we would say plenty to fill a holiday. We would definitely recommend this bungalow to family and friends.

Great relaxing break
This bungalow is clean and tidy and very comfortable. There was a lot of leaflets and maps provided for us to use. We really enjoyed being so close to the beach and walking along the sea wall was a delight. We also went for a walk in hythe next to the canal. The local bus service was very frequent and really easy and good value. We will being definately be going back to Dymchurch next year and look forward to staying there again. We would thoroughly recommend the bungalow to all our friends and family.

Perfect place to stay.
The property was extremely clean and well maintained with a lovely modern design.A very warm and cosy feeling to it,had everything we needed. Even though it was January the walk along the seafront was amazing and waking up to the sound of the seagulls really makes you feel like you are on holiday. Owners were very helpful and provided excellent customer service. We didnt have a car,but found the bus service at the end of the road very freqeunt and relable.Plenty of things to without having to travel too far.A wide variety of restaurants and the best Fish and Chips.Even my two teenagers found plenty to do. I would definately recommend this property.

Dymchurch delight
Very nice, clean bungalow. Ideally situated for visiting local places of interest. Very close to beach and shops. Dymchurch is a quiet village with regular bus services to the larger towns such as Folkestone but a car would be beneficial. The miniature railway is an interesting attraction whoich runs into Hythe and to Dungeness in the opposite direction. This is an ideal location for people wanting either a relaxing holiday/break or for sightseers.

About the host

Hosted by Mr or Mrs Turner

Host profile image
We bought the bungalow when our children were young and spent most school holidays there until they both grew up. We now use it weekends spending a lot of time updating it and making it a holiday home we would like to stay in ourselves.

Why they chose this property

We stayed a New Beach and walked into the village and admired the bungalows from the sea wall. The main road follows the sea wall along the coast and this was one of the only places where it went inland.
As a bungalow it is easy to maintain with a footpath to the sea wall.

What makes this property unique

Very few properties in Dymchurch are between the main road and the beach. So with young children you can spend the whole week on the beach and where the bungalow is located its far enough from the village for the beach to be quite but near enough to walk in for the amusements, shops, fish and chips and train station.
If it does rain with Canterbury, Rye and Dover within easy reach there is enough to occupy young children or adults
