TREE HOUSE on The Farm!

Little Peak Creek Farm has had the, Farm House cabin on Home Away #376235 for 6 years and has had rave reviews. Be sure to check out that listing as well as it is on the same property. Now the owners have created a FANTASTIC TREE HOUSE cabin on an additional 25 acres that were added to the farm to complete 72 acres of the most beautiful mountain land in Ashe County ,NC. The TREE HOUSE is an adventure for the senses and is packed with artistry and charm! The farm land offers endless hiking .The friendly farm animals (which all have a story )love attention and will give you all the time you would like to pet and love on them! There are dogs, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, turkeys and ducks! t You can gathering your own eggs from the Gypsy Chick Inn , the gypsy wagon where the chickens live.
There are a number of outdoor activities close by including horseback riding, canoeing , kayaking or tubing and there is endless fishing on the New Riveror just a couple of miles away is the Ashe County Wildlife Club lake and you can fish there.. There are 2 golf courses in the county and the charming town of West Jefferson is only 15 minutes away. Rent horses at Hidden Pastures Trails and the whole family can ride on 2 hour guided trips through the mountains.
The owners are artists and creative individuals that constantly work at improving their farm for their guests enjoyment. The TREE HOUSE was designed and completed by the owners and the post and beams used for construction were from pines harvested on the farm. Many of the materials were reclaimed from salvage stores or from antique shops .
The tree house always has a sunset as the owner is a stained glass artist and has created 3 pieces that hang together rendering a stunning progression of sunset in the mountains. There is original art and handmade pieces throughout that accent the, one room, 24x24 space ,tastefully.
An old apple tree stump has been made into the bathroom sink and the claw foot tub is positioned in front of a spectacular view for a restful relaxing bath.
The wood stove heats the tree house and has a lovely view of the fire while you look out the windows that surround you from every side . One full wall of windows allows you to view the forest from floor the ceiling. The TREE HOUSE will leave you with wonderful memories of a magical stay in the cool breezes of the mountains. Relaxation amid Nature

Amazing!

You can definitely feel the love that went into this space. Lisa and Stephen built an amazing treehouse, and the whole property is very special. It's very unique and well crafted, with a lovely view of the mountains through the trees. It's rustic yet also very comfortable and cozy. The clawfoot tub and fire stove make it especially relaxing.

The most magical property I've ever stayed at!

I arrived at dusk and the fairy lights were on, the interior was lit and there was classical music playing! Everything inside was well-thought out and cosy and the view across the mountains from inside, as well as from the porch, was spectacular. I spent my days, reading, walking, researching and chilling out by the log burner. I loved it!

Tree House was everything that we expected and more!

The host Lisa was great! Awesome property, very relaxing location with great mountain views and endless hiking! The accommodations had everything that you could need for a stress free vacation. The farm was enjoyable and all the farm animals were very friendly. We look forward to a return visit.

FANTASTIC!

We loved this gem of a place nestled up in the mountains. Everything we hoped for and more! It had all the comfortable accommodations and yet still the serenity and beauty of the rustic mountains. The view from the back porch as the sun rises is the perfect place to start your day. Whether reconnecting with nature, or just wanting a great place to relax, this is the place. The owners are artists who created, built and decorated this little piece of heaven. How fantastic it is, that they share it with others to experience. We will be back! While visiting, make a plan to spend a day in West Jefferson - such a quaint town with some really good local restaurants and shopping.

2 night getaway

Our stay was amazing! It was just what we needed. I don’t think I have ever been more relaxed. The tree house was PERFECT! Every little detail was just right. We loved the woodstove and swinging on the back porch. We saw at least 10 deer on our walk and they ran across the road within 15 ft from us! It was a short 20 minute drive to town. We got some steaks from the butcher in town grilled them at the cabin! They were delicious. The treehouse was super clean and had everything we needed. 10 out of 10 reccomend!

Christmas Getaway

The tree house was as described...and more. It was set back on the property and was very quiet. Linda came and visited not too long after we arrived to make sure we had everything. It was a great place to relax and have a peaceful, small Christmas away from all the hoopla. Great place, would go again.

Rustic and beautiful!!

The treehouse was advertised on my Facebook page, and it was so beautiful, I just had to book it! It did not disappoint!! Beautifully built and decorated! The owners have paid attention to every detail. Not only is it full of gorgeous art, but there were spices, coffee and even popcorn for our pleasure. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of firewood for the wood stove. Once we discovered that getting up during the night to stoke the fire was a requirement, we stayed warm and toasty! (The first night we didn't do that and it was extremely chilly in the morning!) I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

We were blown away by this property and scenery around it. We were getting away for a "babymoon" prior to our 2nd daughter arriving, and it was exactly what we needed! The house is stunning, with beautiful personal touches that make the house warm and welcoming. It is a remote location, so we felt like we really got away for once. The owners are incredibly hospitable and kind, and we look forward to returning one day in the future.

Stepping into a Fairytale

It was everything it said it was and more. One of my daughters met me there and we both said it was like stepping into a fairytale because it was just the perfect cabin in the woods. So many thoughtful things added to make our stay more enjoyable. Liza and Stephen were so thoughtful in all of the added amenities like picnic tables at each summit and a hammock by the waterfalls. Thank you for sharing this special place. Hope you are feeling better soon Stephen.

Peace and rest

Treehouse Magical

From our first glance I had tears in my eyes, so beautiful and so well built for our enjoyment. The welcoming window boxes filled with succulents, ferns and fall gourds. Every aspect to creating the most unique get away. The attention to details was not un noticed, the pine bark exterior, to the bird feeder on a pully system suspended in mid air, every inch cozy and quaint, no neighbors just the forrest and birds calling. Our grandaughter and I went down and met the farm animals and fed them carrots, we were hoping to meet you Lisa and Stephen maybe next time. A unique experience unplugged for the weekend a much needed respite. Thank you for your thoughtfulness that went into this property.

Back to Nature

The Tree House is a wonderful place to relax and get back to nature. With windows in all directions, I found myself just wandering from side to side of the tree house looking out at the beautiful scenery. The Tree House itself was perfect! The owners thought of every detail to make our stay enjoyable. In fact, apart from a couple trips into town and to hike along the New River, we didn't leave the Tree House and farm area. We walked the trails on the farm, gathered eggs from hen house for breakfast, and fed the goats and horses. It was an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful Little Fairy Tale House

This is the most lovely little home that reminds me of being from a fairy tale. Decorated so beautifully from nature and every turn features another artistic creation! Clean and comfortable with peace and tranquility all around! You will not be sorry if you plan a visit here!

Looks just like pictures on line. Very unique and built extremely well. Everything worked well but hot water needed to be improved. Furniture was “minimal” with both beds very soft. Love seat was soft as well. It rained most of the time we were there but that was ok. Overall we had a good visit.

Stunning!

Amazing property and location. So rustic! Love it! Natural wood everywhere. Wood a burning fire in the main living room and a gas heater in the bathroom. There is AC too! Fire pit in the front yard, and then you walk across a rope-type bridge to the treehouse. Inside you have 2 queen beds, and lots of natural wood furniture. The lighting is so nice! The rear door opens out onto a deck, being elevated you get a great view of the distant mountains. You are surrounded by trees and wildlife. At night you can hear bobcats in the distance! The farm that the property is on is cute and pretty. There is a chicken coop, a stable with horses, donkeys, ponies, and goats... bring some carrots, they love them! Bring corn for the chickens! Gorgeous look-out points to view the mountains and valleys. You're about 30 minutes from West Jefferson which has lots of fun shops - antique stores, bars - check out Black Jacks for an incredible burger!, and you must visit the Cheese Factory! So many choices of cheese and wine! Wish we could have stayed longer. The owners of this property are so nice and helpful, they instantly felt like friends or family. We will definitely be back again.

Mark Stephen Willingham and his wife, Lisa have been in the area for over 40 years. They met and married within 2 weeks in 1975 and moved to the mountains to begin their lives together. They lived in a 1911 farm house for 30 years and bought the farm in 2007. Stephen's creativity and determination will continue to transform the farm with every year that passes ,as long as the couple can continue the work it takes to make his dreams come true!

This property has been loving detailed with an artist's eye and the owners are always interested in making improvements. They love creating special environments for others to enjoy and their shared love of nature, animals and gardening show around every turn.

The property provides privacy and the opportunity to be in nature while offering guests a chance to be immersed in creativity and solitude. You can choose to stay on the farm to recharge ,and back off from your hectic life, or visit many nearby area activities to explore what mountain living has to offer.
