Great little place for a short stay! No frills, but perfectly adequate. Location is close to downtown area and the beachfront park. The unit was very clean and had just about everything I needed. The only things I was lacking were wifi (Lola tried calling Spectrum to reboot, but it never worked for me while I was there) and instructions on how to lock the smart lock (resolved with a quick Google search). I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area!

Decent, but noisy.
The property overall is OK. Pretty clean, but not very inviting. Coming in at night, the location felt a bit unnerving. Our biggest complaint was how thin the walls were between the units. The people staying next to us were extremely loud at all hours the of the day and night. We were woken up multiple times throughout the two nights we stayed.
The place did the job, but never really felt comfortable there.
This is a cute and clean property with all the necessities except a TV or any type of electronics (for music.) Yes, this was stated in the description and it was fine for one night but if they really want five stars, they should provide the usual that guests expect, which is a TV. It might be different if there was a view of the ocean or even a beautiful landscaped yard, but this is not the case. The magazines were old, outdated (2023) we couldn’t find any games, lots of books but reading makes no sense for a short stay. We have stayed at many VRBO properties that included welcome baskets and other personal touches that warranted five stars, four is the very best for this property. Good communication from the Host was appreciated.

We liked the home feel. The refrigerator was loud. Thankfully, we didn't need it so we were able to turn it off. The bed was comfortable. The shower was wonderful and even had shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash provided. The 2nd night, there was a large gathering in the other unit. The walls are thin. Sleep was difficult. Overall, it was a nice stay and close to everything we needed.
The place is ‘as listed’ HOWEVER please note that the home is located in the middle of a very run down neighborhood. It felt unsafe and we didn’t feel comfortable outside at all. Also there are visible ant traps throughout the kitchen which made us feel icky. Please note there’s no TV, dishwasher or washing machine/dryer. You may assume those things would be there. The location is so unpleasant that we left a night early.
This was our 3rd time at the rental. We have family in town but we like to come back to our own little place.
I am glad it was available and we hope to return again in the future.
Very calm and well stocked house. If you are not into eating out like us then this place comes with an added advantage of a full kitchen, utensils and basic cooking ingredients! Located in the suburbs and a quick drive to the ocean front, stores and other tourist attractions! It was a very calm experience to wake up in the mornings to hear the ocean and none of the motorists on the road. Quick and efficient check in and check out process!
The unit is well-equipped including the kitchen and everything was clean.
I enjoyed a morning walk each day down to the beach which is 14 minutes away by foot.
Unfortunately for us, on our last night, the electricity for the entire county was turned off due to the fire.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

This place was perfect for us. Well stocked, clean and quiet
Le logement est situé à côté du parc de Redwood, a côté de la mer. Il est bien équipé, confortable et suffisamment spacieux. Conforme aux photos. Lola est très disponible et répond très rapidement. Nous y avons passé un séjour agréable.
Let me start by saying that we are picky about the cleanliness of where we stay, especially post-COVID. Pros: the neighborhood is very quiet and felt safe, the unit was cute and as pictured, there were bathroom supplies and extra blankets/towels/etc provided, the mini-split worked great. Cons: it wasn't as clean as we wanted. The fridge was dirty with visible food and drips inside and out, and there were collections of stuff on the floors in the corners. The bed is very worn and uncomfortable too. The walls between the duplex were paper thin and we could hear every conversation, etc that the neighbors were having.
Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but if you're picky about cleanliness and have loud neighbors this may not be the place for you.
The duplex unit itself is simple and basic, but all we needed and wete expecting. There were extra bedding and towels and basic shower supplies which was nice.
The kitchen equipment was decent but no pot hders and pot lids missing Handles. Not the safest combination. The refrigerator was cold but all items on the top shelf had water on then after a few hours. Reported to property manager.
The neighborhood was quiet.
The heat didn't worK. We texted the property manager who was nice enough to provide her cell number. Didn't get a response until I messaged her through the website that we were using the oven for heat. At which time there was an apology, but nothing done.
We went to meet up with friends who live in Crescent City and do some clamming and eel fishing. The property was perfect for the stay since we were out of the house early and only came back to sleep. The only downside was parking this is a duplex and if they have multiple vehicles its a challenge to park or if you have a longer vehicle. Thankfully the other guest the first night was gracious enough to split the parking spot a little bit which helped.
We had a wonderful time. Each morning when we stepped outside we were greeted by the smell of honeysuckle. And each evening when we returned we had a clean comfortable cozy space to relax and unwind.
This was a nice place to stay during a quick stop in Crescent City as part of my road trip! The place was comfortable, had helpful appliances and kitchen supplies, and the host was easy to communicate with!
