About this property

CLASSIC HISTORIC ADIRONDACK CAMP ON 200' OF LAKE GEORGE WATERFRONT

Unwind in our NEWLY RENOVATED lakeside, light-filled, clean and cozy camp, located on 200' of private Lake George shorefront -- including a secluded cove perfect for small children or for those who want "just a dip", plus a gentle rock outcropping. Take a shoreline sightseeing excursion in our two, single-passenger kayaks. Steps up from the water, make the most of our level lawn, perfect for a game of badminton, chasing fireflies or toasting marshmallows over the firepit. A generously sized screened-in porch outfitted for naps, cozy conversation and sunset meals, situated for gazing at the expansive view of northern Lake George. Get grilling where you'll have use of a combination gas and charcoal grill.

Once inside the first floor of the camp house, you'll be treated to a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances and dishwasher, breakfast bar, sunny dining area for up to 8, and cheerful living room. The first floor also includes a half-bath (featuring the camp motto, which we'll let you discover for yourself!); library/study including a full-size mattress-grade futon, with books and games for all ages; PLUS a tucked-away full-size washer and dryer. For our off-season guests, the first floor is installed with radiant floor heating for your comfort. Head up to the second-floor, where you'll find three bedrooms (two with queen beds; one bedroom with two twins, including the "captain's bed") and a full-bath with pebble stone flooring and claw-foot tub. Although the Adirondack mountains generally provide comfortable nights, the bedrooms are equipped with fans (air conditioning units for both floors may be provided upon request).

Views of the lake abound throughout 11 The Point on both floors, where the gentle lapping of Lake George's waves lull you to sleep and softly greet you in the morning.

Craving a sand castle? A small and peaceful, seasonally lifeguard-present community beach is an easy five-minute walk from the camp, where you and your family can enjoy not just sand-castle building and more lake swimming, but also volleyball, a playground with swings, restrooms and a covered picnic area.

For your comfort and convenience, we provide all linens: beach towels, bath towels, bed linens, blankets and pillows. The camp is also equipped with wifi.

This Lake George cabin is very special!
Jon and Beth have created the most relaxing and peaceful home! Our family had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and building a fire to make s’mores. Our favorite part was enjoying the views on the porch every morning and evening. Thank you Jon and Beth for your very warm hospitality! Your home is truly special and you were so gracious and helpful during our visit.

Paradise on the Point
11 the Point is a truly wonderful house - immaculate condition and perfect location. Our family group of six ranged in age from 2 to 76. Here are a few of our favorite things: the little boys loved the porch- had all their meals on the picnic table and played legos. Then there was the big rock at the end of the dock and the fire pit for s’mores! Oh, and the scooter rides to the swings at the playground. Grandpa loved the grill set-up : gas and charcoal. Grandma enjoyed the library - books for all ages! Mommy and daddy brought a canoe and SUP to add to the kayak fleet. The lake was the place to be. And did I mention the view?!!

Great place for a peaceful family vacation!
Everything about this rental is awesome. Fantastic waterfront location and perfect for kayaking and little ones to swim. Very comfortable house which didn’t lack anything. Owners were great and very easy to get a hold of if need be. Some of my family stayed in another house right next door but was at our rental most of the time because of the great yard and waterfront. I can’t wait to go back to this beautiful house. When you are there it’s really like your own! I don’t think I could rent another place and get the same experience.

A week on the water!
In addition to the proximity of the lake, this house is beautiful, comfortable, and easy to live in. The screened porch proves to be a wonderful asset for eating, playing games, or pure relaxation with the sounds and scenes of the lake. The owners are so helpful and available.

Charming and cozy updated Adirondack home
Beth, Jon and family—What an incredibly special place. You have truly put your hearts and souls into its restoration. Everything from the built-in captain’s bed, which was loved by our four year old, to the amazing screened porch with a view of lapping waves or glass-like stillness, depending on the day.. to the incredible dock, island and swimming cove- we couldn’t have asked for a dreamier place to enjoy. It was cozy yet spacious all at the same time. We got the absolute peak of the fall colors, and your location was remote enough to cut us off from the chaos, yet close enough to hike in the high peaks/ lake placid and enjoy all sections and amenities of Lake George with ease. We loved the books, games and so many thoughtful amenities, fire pit, well stocked kitchen and grill. We enjoyed a day in a boat from the marina near Hague, Fort Ticonderoga and it’s incredible gardens and a unique ‘railroad bike’ tour near Mt Gore (Highly recommend). We also just sat on the dock and enjoyed the silence and the stars. A truly incredible week. We can’t thank you enough. It was exactly what our hearts and minds needed. You are a special family to be willing to share this gem. We hope to return in the future!!!

Master Class in Lake Life
Beth and Jon - We can't come up with enough superlatives Every detail is amazing - an architectural gem with the doors, floors, walls, original windows, impeccably designed kitchen, the porch, the yard and fire pit. The history of the cottage perfectly captured! The outside of the property itself is simply perfect - a Million Dollar View - the feeling of being surrounded by water is mesmerizing. The waterfront is incredibly natural, private and usable - brand new dock and stairs into the water. The kitchen is amazingly well designed, stocked, uncluttered and immaculately clean! (spotless appliances, sharp knives, beautiful dish ware and cookware - everything you could ask for!) We shopped in Middlebury VT which was worthwhile - pretty ride and we stocked up for the week. The Food Co Op is a nice resource in town and we had a sausage onion pizza delivered by House of Pizza which was a great recommendation! I could go on...don't hesitate to book this place!

Perfect Place
Wonderfuly simple to book and friendly from beginning to end. My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Jon on our first day at the camp. He was super nice and answered ALL of our questions. Both Jon and Beth were open to communicating via email during our stay and responded promptly to any additional queries. The house was fully stocked with everything you might need for a week at the lake, from cookware to flippers and everything in between. We wanted for nothing. The house was impeccably maintained in all its historic glory, with a modern edge (which was my favorite aspect personally.) The views from almost every window are spectacular, but the porch is the winner and where we spent the most time. The house motto in best understood while on the porch. My kids loved the outcropping of rocks at the end of the dock and found the shallow and ultra clear water very accommodating and loads of fun. My 6 year old son even caught his first fish. Overall, the house was exactly what my family needed to unwind and escape from 2020.

Best Fall Vacation
We had a great and full week at Jon's and Beth's camp. The house is super beautifully and amazingly renovated and perfect for families. Also, the new kayaks are a great addition to the house too. And Jon and Beth were wonderful hosts and made our stay really relaxing and easy. We would love to come back anytime!

Great house with a beautiful view!
We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The home was lovely and we spent most of our time on the back porch overlooking the lake. We walked down to the dock daily and made s’mores by the outside fire pit at night. The owners were very helpful and gave us a list of things to do and places to eat while in the area. I would recommend this house if you want a relaxing vacation with the family.

About the host

Hosted by Jon & Beth

Host profile image
Jon & Beth, the owners, live in Dobbs Ferry, NY and have been vacationing annually in Lake George for over 40 years (separately, and now together with our own young family). They bought the camp in 2016 and have spent the past two years lovingly bringing it back to life, with a personal goal of sharing Lake George with our extended family, and creating a place where our boys will eventually make their own family memories. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Lake George, the "Queen of American Lakes", is renowned for its clarity. Being at the north end of the lake yields a special tranquility (and excellent fishing!). The nearby town of Ticonderoga provides a host of low-key, family restaurants, mini-golf, ice cream parlors and a local food co-op. Hiking, quiet country roads for biking, a nearby lavender farm, antiquing, the must-visit historical site, Fort Ticonderoga, and even the world-renowned "Star Trek" set reproduction are minutes away. Nearby Hauge offers more dining options; Lake George Village and it's old-time attractions are an easy jaunt.

What makes this property unique

Private and cozy, 11 The Point is located in a small community of fellow lake lovers, "just off the beaten path". Our newly restored camp home is clean and filled with light & views of the lake, offering plenty of space to relax, and so close to the shoreline, you could skip rocks from the patio. The unique "rock dock" is set in a shallow, calm cove, perfect for families of all ages. The camp is also very close to a town beach delivering the best of both worlds.
