Island Cabin ~ Lake living at its finest, clean, monthly only discount

Monthly rental only. 2 bedroom cabin on 100' feet of south facing, prime Crane Lake lake shore with your own private dock, sand beach, and yard. This cute cabin will offer privacy and comfort on the edge of the wilderness. Boat from your dock to Voyageurs National Park, BWCA, and Canada. You do need a boat to access this property. Bring your own boat or contact us for rental recommendations.
The rate per night is based on 4 people. Front bedroom has a king-size bed (or 2 twins), back bedroom 2 twins. There is an oversized shower in bathroom. A full kitchen with all amenities including dishwasher, gas range with oven, drip coffeemaker, microwave, toaster. Living room has a sofa, 2 easy chairs, satellite TV and FREE WIFI internet. Well water is potable.
A spacious deck overlooking the front yard with a great view of the lake. Charcoal and gas grills, picnic table, campfire ring, 4 lawn chairs as well as your own dock and beach round out the outdoor amenities. An extension cord is provided outside for charging boat batteries.
Bed linens are provided, but no maid service is available. There is an extra set of sheets in the linen closet for all beds. Personal towels are included in this rental, please bring your own beach towels. All kitchen towels and dishcloths are provided as well as dish soap for hand washing and dishwasher. Good potable well water in kitchen and bathroom.

Lake living at its' finest at Crane Lake. Take your boat to nearby restaurants, gas stations, bait shops, gift shops, and convenience stores. Then take off up the lake to the wilderness of Voyageurs National Park and Canada. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) is also accessible from this cabin, day permits available from area businesses.

Parking for your car and boat trailer is available at 2 different public boat landings in Crane Lake. Both boat landings are located off the Handberg Road.
Generally, the public landings are safe, but if you want added security you can park at Handberg's Marina. They do charge for parking, but if you rent your boat there, the parking would be included.

There is fantastic fishing right off your own private dock. Watch the northern lights from your front yard next to your campfire. You won't be disappointed with this delightful cabin. All the comforts of home await you here in the north woods.

Dee and Jim are wonderful!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. The location and size of the property is great for us. Dee and Jim are very responsive and helpful. New deck and grill are a big plus! Almost everything you need for a month stay is provided. Wish there was a spice rack and ice maker included. We will be back again.

Great cabin on Crane Lake

Great 4 day visit to Crane Lake and Voyageurs National park.

Canceled our camping plans due to a knee issue and impending surgery. Greatly enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect with the rental and easy access to Crane Lake and adjacent Voyageurs National park. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with an easy dock for our boat. Enjoyed fresh caught walleye on the deck and as always enjoyed fishing and exploring in VNP. Even saw a moose crossing Sand Point Lake heading for Canada.

Beautiful cabin on Crane Lake

The cabin is a nice size for two to four people. We booked for four nights and our daughter and her husband joined us for two after paddling up at Sand Point. The kitchen is spacious and accommodated all four of us cooking/mixing. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Dock, fish cleaning station, picnic table, deck all appreciated.

This cabin is awesome!

This place is amazing. The cabin looked brand new. It was very clean with everything in working order. You could tell that there was a lot of attention to detail and that the owner put a lot of thought into what a guest would need. Everything we needed was included so we could spend all our time fishing and enjoying the lake vs. fixing things or chasing down basic items we needed. The location was so central on the lake that everywhere we wanted to be was really only a 3 minute boat ride away. Communication with the owner was very easy and very responsive. Check in and out was a breeze and the cabin was 100% ready to go upon arrival. Our plan is to be back here next year and this cabin will be our first choice for accomodations. Thanks for having us !!

A perfect little getaway

Everything was better than expected. The property was super easy to get to, was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked (non-food). My husband commented a few times each day how much he enjoyed the cabin …that’s a “win”! We would absolutely consider coming back. Thanks for a great stay.

We SO enjoyed our stay even though we had sketchy weather. A lovely, cozy cabin with every amenity and a very responsive owner made for a very positive experience. Dee had beautiful flowers and a card to celebrate our 30th anniversary, so thoughtful. We loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this property. Thanks again Dee!

Awesome Cabin Great Location

The cabin is extremely well maintained and it has everything you need. Fishing was great and we caught walleye, smallmouth and northern pike. The topwater bite on smallmouth was good as well as jerkbaits.

Dee & Jim are so very helpful.. It rained 2 in and they made sure we had dry wood the next day.

The property is perfect for us. Great view and fire pit for night. This is our 2nd year at this wonderful place. We go out fishing all day then and come back to this beautiful cabin and cook our dinners over the fire . When its raining you have perfect space and comfort inside. We have given up camping for good!!! Thank you both for your generosity and for sharing this place with us.
