Large very roomy gourmet kitchen with counter top seating for 7, leading into an informal dinning room with seating for 10-12. Large master suite with walk in shower, dual sinks, and Jacuzzi tub. Each pair of upstairs bed rooms share a single full Bath room, 1 bath is roomy and standard tub/shower the other has walk in shower and Jacuzzi Tub. TV via Fire stick and Google Chrome TV in Den. The master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms, den, game room all have flat screen TV's with Fire sticks for you to enter your accounts. Very large screen in porch stretching the length of the back of the house with full view of the lake (12'X 48') that includes 2 lounge chairs, Sitting area for 4 table seating 6, and a swinging day bed. Laundry room available, and 3 pod and fabric softer are supplied.

Floating boat dock has room to park up to 4 boats and 2 Jet Ski's, attached to a 50' pier. Outdoor kitchen area with large grill, Sink, Turkey cooker, and twin cook top burners and plenty of counter space with bar seating for 8. Regulation horseshoe pit, Corn Whole Set, and Boccie Ball Court. Large 16'x14' cement patio adjacent to outdoor kitchen with Solo Stove Fire pit and Adirondack chair seating for 6. Also adjacent to the outdoor kitchen is a 20' x 20' deck with a large custom outdoor sectional couch with seating for 10 on the inside and 13 on the outer bar top. This section is excellent for family game time and conversations. Leading from this large deck is a lower deck with high profile Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs that lead further to the grass area with full views of the lake. Large grassy side yard for additional games like ladder ball and Frisbee. Outside shower available and ample outdoor lighting. Property comes with complementary use of a 10 ft aluminum row boat, 3 Kayaks and 3 Paddle boards for guest use.

Great property with beautiful sunsets and great location.

This was our 2nd year at this property. The outdoor space is great for family gatherings with a bocce ball court, horseshoes, cornhole, a nice dock, outdoor bar, fire pit, huge screened porch, outdoor sectional with umbrellas, and paddle boards. The younger crowd enjoyed playing pool. The kitchen is very large and well equipped. This home accomodates our group of 15 very comfortably. We have already booked it again for 2025.

Clean house with plenty of amenities. While the water is obviously the highlight, having horseshoes, bocce, and cornhole are welcome diversions. The basement pool table and arcade machine were also well used. The screened in porch adds a lot of space. The house had enough space for our group of 15, all 16+ years old. Stephen is proactive providing information and responsive to any inquiry. When a storm knocked out the internet he texted us the carrier alert, and he let us know when service was restored. The pictures in the listing reflect the size, quality, and cleanliness. Highly recommend for large families.

Luxury lake house is an outdoor paradise!

The property is just lovely! The huge screened in porch and outdoor furnishings were perfect for enjoying the lake and spending time with extended family. The teens thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks, swings, and dock. The adults really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and game room! The location of the home is ideal as that area of the lake was really quiet without a lot of boat traffic. The lake was low which made a nice beach area for ladies to lounge on and a gentle entry into the lake if you wanted to float. The owner was very responsive and property is well maintained. There are a lot of rules to ensure the property stays in great shape - if that makes you nervous you may want to ask for a copy in advance. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Family Getaway

We enjoyed our vacation on Lake Norman. The week flew by! Had a couple minor issues that the owner took care of quickly. Our group was a little uncomfortable with indoor and outdoor cameras either in or out of use during our visit. The home is large with plenty of indoor and out door space. It was easily accessible to other attractions and areas of local interest. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the stay.

Perfect family lake getaway

The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate our group of 15. There was plenty of seating between the outdoor and indoor spaces and the beds were all comfortable. There is a nice little sand area down at the water that the children enjoyed and the water is deep enough off the dock for jumping and fishing. The games and outdoor entertainment options were great for when we needed a break from the water. Stephen was very quick to respond to our concerns. The only reason I took off a star was because you couldn’t use more than one shower at a time without severely affecting the water pressure and the refrigerator had a hard time keeping our food cool so we had to throw away a lot of groceries that spoiled. If the refrigerator wasn’t an issue I would have given five stars.

Perfect Family Spot

4Ms Lake Norman House

Our family had the most amazing time at this property! The house was so spacious for our family of 12. We loved the location on a very quiet street with beautiful lake views and sunsets. We also loved that the master bedroom was located on the main floor which was perfect for my senior parents. They didn’t have to worry about going up and down stairs. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from the marina around the corner and were able to park it right at the dock. The kids were in the water everyday swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The guys had a great time playing pool in the game room most nights. Would love to stay here again someday!

Great location and set up well for multiple families

This is our second time staying at this property. We have 11 people from 4 different parts of our family that come together and the bedroom set up works really well for us. We also love the lake location as it's not very busy and safe for our kids to swim, fish, and paddle. We also love the convenience to the boat rental location.

Great 50th Anniversary Celebration

We recently stayed at this property to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. There were 10 of us - 6 adults, and 4 children (16, 10, 8 and 3). The house is huge and there was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy the week. The house also comes equipped with some great amenities - including an outdoor kitchen, indoor gourmet kitchen, pool table, lake toys (paddle boards, kayaks), and a screened-in porch overlooking the lake. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, grabbing a nightly cocktail on the deck, and tubing behind a boat we rented from the marina just around the corner. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to enjoy a fun family week at Lake Norman.

Tranquility at the Lake

The 4Ms Lakehouse has everything you need and more for a wonderful vacation at the Lake. The host, Steve, is great to work with and kept us informed at every stage of our booking (before, during, and after). The house is so spacious and the amenities are second to none! Lots of outdoor toys available for playing in the lake and lots of places to relax and enjoy the beautiful view from the large screened room or outdoor sectional. We had a wonderful, relaxing week at the 4Ms Lakehouse and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for the perfect family getaway.

Family Reunion on Lake

We had a wonderful week at the 4 M’s beautiful lake home. It was the perfect location with a gorgeous backyard and lots of activities to enjoy. The house was spacious and very clean. Kitchen was perfect for large families and had all the appliances and amenities you need. The owner, Stephen, was great. He was quick to reply to any questions we had and responsive to our needs. We have already booked another lake week here for next year!

Amazing Family Vacation Home

We enjoyed a large family gathering (13 of us) on Lake Norman at this spacious home. The property was beautiful and had so many outdoor areas to hang out. We especially loved the screened in upper deck and the seating around the outdoor sectional where we had every dinner together. Pontoon boat rental was super easy and we were on the lake everyday with the kayaks, paddle boards etc that were provided. The host, Steve, was very responsive to some minor issues we ran into. House instructions could use some updating and use of the 7 flat screen televisions was limited due to missing remotes and no connection to streaming channels so we used laptops and our own cords but we were mostly outdoors. Bar and game room area were fun. Overall nice experience.

Great location

Had a great time at this house. Stephen was excellent at communicating with us. A lot of amenities to offer. Couple recommendations would be lamps on the nightstands. We have readers in the family, who couldn’t do that in bed. Only a couple bedrooms had a place to put away clothes. There were some racks for hanging, but no hangers. Some dressers would be helpful. Great house!

high school group reunion

The house is excellent for relaxing, enjoying the lake, grilling, and indoor and outdoor games. It is plenty spacious and very clean. We had nine 50-somethings on a high school reunion and spent almost all of the seven days at the house. We rented a pontoon boat at the Lake Norman Marina (less than a mile away) which was great fun too. All organization/owner communication was clear and timely. Reasonably priced as well...a very good house rental option!

House was just as advertised - large kitchen, great outdoor spaces, etc. Paddle boards were used daily! Very close to marina for pontoon rental. Stephen was very helpful and communicated regularly - appreciate his patience with our last minute car issue that delayed our departure . Would definitely stay here again.

Great house and amazing location for a family lake vacation

We rented the home for a week over the 4th July with family and friends and had a great time. The house and all the amenities, plus the quiet cove it sat on was perfect. We brought our boat and had no problems with water depth or tying up to the dock. It also came with a little beach that allowed the kids to walk right out into the water. During our stay, several large storms came through that even knocked out the power one night, but Stephen was reaching out almost hourly to check on us and even stopped by to reset the Wi-Fi and alarm system as soon as the power came back on. I highly recommend this house for any family looking for a great house. It’s a perfect location and owned by a super attentive person that will take care of any issues that do come up quickly. Thanks again Stephen for everything!

The perfect family spot

So many great things about this property: 1 - EXCELLENT communication and responsiveness of the owner 2 - EXCELLENT location - this is located on a VERY quiet inlet that has almost no boat traffic. It was perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding for our kids without any worry! 3 - awesome gradual entry for all ages as well as a dock for jumping in! 4 - spacious home so that our group could all be together in one room or spread out for a little quiet time 5 - kitchen - very well stocked with every utensil you might need as well as a giant refrigerator with separate freezer and ice maker 6 - great configuration of bedding for our group 7 - screen porch for buggy times 8 - out door kitchen and fire pit area 9 - a few minutes from the Lake Norman Marina - so handy when renting a boat and wanting to bring it back to the house Please note that the new cleaning service did not live up to Steve's expectations but once we shared concerns - it was taken care of.

Great multi family vacation

The property and location was perfect for our family summer vacation. The home comfortably fit my family of 4, my sister’s family of four, my parents and father in law. The home also provided a lot of activities for all ages and the part of the lake was very quiet and felt safe for the younger kids. We rented a boat early in the week and a jet ski at the end of the week for more action. Also caught tons of smaller fish.

Steve and Jennifer Callaghan owners since 2003, we remodeled the house from 2100 Sq Ft to over 4800 Square feet in 2009. We are "empty nesters" ,with 4 beautiful girls. We have enjoyed this property in the summer for over 20 years, and we now like to travel for the summer for 8-10 weeks , so we have made our home available for others to enjoy with their family while we are traveling. We both come from large families, know the value of reconnecting yearly, and have enjoyed large family gatherings at our house for the past 15 years. We designed and built the house with sharing it with as much family as possible and as often as possible. We hope you really enjoy the property and hope you feel right at home while your here. Sit and relax in the many places available or get out there and be active.

Why they chose this property

When we found this property it was perfect for our family of 4 young girls back in 2003. The cove is private, quiet, and faces west and often offers some really beautiful sunset in a secluded setting. The cove was a perfect safe spot for our girls to swim, Jet ski, and water ski while growing up without the worries of big open water (Main channel areas of the lake) that lead to big traffic!! It also offered easy access to the entire +500 miles of shore line because we are roughly at the middle of the lake.

What makes this property unique

Large roomy house with multiple decks, and multiple places to sit and relax. Western facing and produces some really beautiful private "quiet" sunsets. Low traffic area of the lake so it usually is not rough from boat wakes and makes an enjoyable place to sit on the dock to relax.
