About this property

Our home is located on a pristine peak in upscale Playa Ocotal, allowing you to get away from it all while still being a short five-minute ride to Ocotal beach and restaurants.

The condo has a top-of-the line chef’s kitchen, which features stainless steel GE Profile appliances and comes fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils you need to dine with the sunsets. The kitchen also has eat-in breakfast island and opens beautifully into the living area, which opens up—via large sliding glass doors—to a huge terrace with dramatic views of the ocean.

Dine inside at the 6-person dining table or out on the terrace, which comes complete with a four-person dining table, outdoor grill, and separate lounge area.

The living area of this home features a flat screen TV, and has large beautiful pocket doors that can open into the master bedroom. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and an amazing on-suite bathroom with rain shower and separate bathtub to enjoy long, relaxing soaks. The master bedroom also accesses the terrace for more views of the ocean. The second bedroom is spacious and has two full-sized beds. The privacy of this condo, which is surrounded by nature and incredible ocean views, makes this home unique and a must stay for a relaxing vacation.

The Azul Paraíso development has a beautiful and unique pool for each separate building within the complex. As a result, your pool is shared only with five other units within your building to allow for maximum privacy.

The condo is only a 10-minute drive to Playas del Coco, where you can find a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. We suggest considering the option of renting a car, as it can greatly enhance your experience of the area around the house, allowing you to easily explore and embark on exciting adventures at your convenience. The condo is located 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport.

Happy in Costa Rica

Slice of paradise

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Breathtaking views. Spacious 2 bedroom unit. Perfect for families. Good proximity to restaurants and beaches but having a car is a must. The pool was too cold to swim in because it is in the shade and not heated. We lost water for 3 hours but the management company was very responsive. Highly recommend this gem.

Just amazing

We stayed a week (9/30-10/7/23). The condo is large, beautiful, well decorated, well maintained, and very well decorated. The view of the Gulf of Papagayo is just stunning. We watched many beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the large and comfortable patio. Not to mention several birds and also howler monkeys in nearby trees. It was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped, and basic supplies (dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, toilet paper) were all supplied, and not just one pod/load/roll but more than enough for 2 people for a week. The number of bath linens and pool towels provided were more than enough and very good quality. The drive to/from the nearby town of Coco to visit the nearest restaurants and supermarkets is really the only drawback to this condo in my opinion. While completely passable it’s a 20-minute drive with some rather bumpy spots. Don’t be afraid of the drive - I just found it longer and rougher than I would have wanted. And while we did have a minor maintenance issue (the television in the living room had a speaker problem and really wasn’t usable), the Krain property manager came out to see the issue and contacted the condo owner, who graciously had the television replaced the next day. Really top notch response by the management and owner - and much appreciated since it was (American) football season! The condo, supplies, equipment, and views were all top-notch. We would gladly stay again.

Beautiful Property

Check-in was a breeze and David was informative and willing to help with any questions. The condo was in great condition and well stocked with cooking equipment, including plates, silverware, and cutlery. Pots and pans were in excellent shape and they have a washer/dryer for your convenience. The patio has a wonderful ocean view and a propane grill. The Master bathroom shower was awesome and very spacious.

Amazing view!

This condo was even better in person than it looked in the photos. The road up is really steep but we were fine in our little two wheel drive vehicle (it’s paved.) But once you’re up there, it’s worth it for the view! The space is nice and open, well decorated, the kitchen has everything you could need to cook with, washer and dryer in the unit were a bonus. The pool was clean and we always had it to ourselves. Ocotal beach is only a seven minute drive down the hill and Father Roosters has a fun vibe and the food is good. We loved sunsets on the beach but also up on porch with a margarita! It’s true that nothing is walkable and to leave the property you need to drive, but we felt like it was worth it for the peace and quiet and the view. We almost never go back to the same place for vacation, but we’d come back and stay in the same place it was so great!

Exquisite Property and View!!!

This property is 5 star. Artistic and elegant decor--better than the photos. Spacious. We spent the entire stay on the large balcony enjoying the view which changed from sunrise to sun down. The pool was also nice. You definitely need a car and to come prepared with your own food. Pizza wouldn't deliver there--too far--and no stores nearby. There's a grill on the balcony. Father Rooster restaurant is close by and decent and on the beach. We enjoyed the view so much we skipped the beach this time. Only had two nights but we loved it.

Decent place for the value

The complex is nice but you can tell it's on it's way out! Sadly, such a nice spot but the advance planning was flawed. Half the complex never materialized . Maria was great! Housekeeping was NOT GOOD!...the comforter on the bed was blood stained and left there. Thankfully, Maria changed it out. Overall for the value a nice place to stay. Lastly, advertised as a top notch kitchen it lacked many supplies to cook with.

Fantastic Condo

The condo was fantastic with great views of the Pacific. We basically had the pool to ourselves, as our pool just served 4 condos. The staff could not have been more helpful. Maria in particular was great, helping with more than just checking us in, but finding our way to local restaurants, etc. Only caveat is that the condos are WAY up a very steep hill. It’s not clear from the listing that you’re a ten minute drive from the beach and 20 to town. Had a car, so no problem, but it’s a tough climb, particularly at night. Small price to pay for the view. Also, place could use an outdoor shower at least to get the sand off your feet.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent the last 4 days of our Costa Rica holiday in this condo. The condo itself is in kind of an elite area, top of the hill with gatekeepers, and very quiet. We had the entire building to ourselves. Lovely view, and the condo is on a large scale, with comfortable furniture. Our only negative comment would be regarding the glass-enclosed toilet - kind of weird place for no privacy! And there should be some stickers or something on all the bathroom glass - I did not expect that wall and smacked my forehead so hard I sported two lovely black eyes for the last week of my holiday. The area is fun to explore, many beautiful beaches,and some good restaurants, especially around Protrero and Brasilito.

Absolutely Amazing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is well appointed and spacious. With beautiful decorations, comfortable furniture, spacious terrace, and a view to die for. It's difficult not to enjoy every moment of your vacation. Management was always available and willing to care for your every need. It should be noted that the property is located quite a ways out of town and requires a car rental which adds to the expense of your stay. Also it would be nice to have an exercise room available to guests. But those downfalls are small compared to the outstanding conditions that do sexist. It comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by both my husband and I.
