Magical....
Had a Magical Stay at Isabel's beautiful home! Everything was perfect and there wasn't a need for anything as Isabel is the most accommodating host I have ever encountered renting through VRBO and others! The cabin is perfectly secluded and provides the much needed getaway your soul craves from your busy life! Our dogs thourougly enjoyed running the property and the hot tub under the stars with the snow flurries was breathtaking! Asked to stay another day but sadly she was already booked! Wouldn't hesitate to rent again with Isabel ! Thank you to our amazing host! Some people really know how to host! With thanks, Bea, Paul, Molly and Casey !

Beautiful property. Felt like home, especially since we have the same kitchen cabinets at home. Nicest hot tub I’ve ever used. No chemical smell or burning of eyes. Simply an awesome house!

The description of the property and amenities offered doesn't prepare you for the thoughtfulness of the host and all that is offered. We loved everything about the home but especially the view!! We would definitely stay here again. Worth every penny!

Unplug
If you’re looking for a beautiful home that’s got all of the amenities you could ever want and still allows you to unplug and get some much needed R&R this is the place!!! The Mountain View’s are breathtaking and can be enjoyed from the Hot tub or the partially covered porch that wraps around the home. If I could give this property and it’s owner six stars I would. We had a much needed relaxing weekend stay and would love to go back

Peaceful and a lot of fun on top of a mountain
Very peaceful location on lots of land and completely private. We enjoyed the walks on the mowed trails through fields of purple flowers. The mountain top view is spectacular, and the breeze kept us cool on some of this summer's warmest days. The kitchen has everything anyone could need, and our adult children enjoyed playing ping-pong in the basement.

Weekend Getaway
Very nice property. Enjoyed the summer nights outside and the privacy of the location. Property and surrounding country side is beautiful. I know in the sheets it says that two hands will be needed to turn top nob in upstairs shower but it got to the point where I could not turn it any. Other than that a really great experience! Thank you for sharing you wonderful house.

Fantastic experience for a ski vacation. Everything was easy to use and instructions were clear. The amenities from the hot tub to the kitchen were wonderful. One thing that I will note is that the water had the smell and taste of sulfur. I know it has to do with the well water so I don’t know how to address it, however, I think future guests should be made aware of this such that they can buy bottled water if they wish ahead of time. But other than that, we had an excellent stay!

House that has it all
This is our second stay and are never disappointed. Isabel is a super host. She provides a lot more than any home we have stayed in. Her property is beautiful and secluded yet minutes to town if you need anything. Just pack your clothes and some light meals. If you are looking to just get away and relax this is the perfect home. Thanks Isabel!!!!! Michelle and Jake Osgood

Great getaway
Beautiful property, cozy cabin. House was clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels, linens, pillows, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, coffee, spices, wood, fire starters. Owner goes above and beyond to provide extra amenities. We stayed over a cold and snowy weekend. Really enjoyed the wood stove, sauna and hot tub. Definitely need 4WD vehicle in the winter. Not far from small town with restaurants and groceries. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing time!
We had the best time here! My friend and I had a wonderful time, the property was so clean. There was a lot of things we didn’t expect in the cabin as well (spices for cooking etc) the place was very well maintained! We did get locked out but that was our fault but the neighbor Ralph was so nice and came straight to our rescue. We would defiantly recommend this place to anyone else!

Perfect locale for anniversary getaway
We absolutely loved our 4 days in this cabin! We celebrated our 20th anniversary. It was perfect! Listing accuracy: Pics and details don't do it justice. There is so much more! The place is beautiful and well stocked. Whether you want to grill, hot tub, melt smores on the fire pit, or cook a fine meal... the cabin has everything you'll need. Comfort: The living area and porch are especially comfortable. Amenities: WiFi was very strong and reliable. Hot tub was great, but start heating it up a few hours before you plan to use it. (It is kept at 80 deg between guests.) The hot tub was great for starry night soaks. Property: Beautifully nestled on a grassy hill. Tons of wildlife. Very well maintained. Communication: Easy and complete from start to finish. Isabel was awesome about providing information. Directions in the house are very helpful. Location: Centrally located amount plenty of small towns for exploring. Salem, Greenwich, and a score of VT towns are easy to explore.

Peaceful Getaway
We found the cabin to be clean, cozy and a great place to explore eastern New York and western Vermont. The fire pit was put to good use and we enjoyed walking the property to explore the beautiful surroundings. When arriving on the first day, we were greeted by 3 deer lying in the grass. They visited throughout our 5 day stay along with tons of different birds. Isabel was great to work with and we hope to visit again but for a longer stay.

Fantastic cabin
What an amazing place to stay! Hot tub was lovely, the pinball machine was fun, and we played tons of ping pong. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. I also like the safety-oriented touches throughout: flashlights on many tables, laminated instruction manuals, and even laminated directions to the nearest healthcare center. The showers in this place are amazing. What a great place!

Cute cabin on gorgeous property
My husband and I rented this cabin for our anniversary getaway. When we arrived, the cabin had not been cleaned. Thankfully, all the cleaning supplies were easy to find! We cleaned for about 2 hours when we got there, vacuuming, mopping, cleaned the toilet, wiped down the counters/cabinets/windows, and then we were ready to relax! The cabin is well made, with attention to detail throughout. The property was gorgeous, with walking trails in the fields that we enjoyed hiking. The hot tub was very nice! The jets, lights, and everything worked, plus it had an awesome view!! We visited a winery and ate lunch in the Colored Slate Belt Capital. We enjoyed the peace, quiet, and tranquility this property offered!! It was just what we needed to recharge!

Quiet relaxation
I visited the area from not too far away for a local golf tournament. I spent 2 days at the house between golf and enjoyed it very much. The hot tub and sauna were great and the views are amazing. Especially this time of year in the morning, drinking coffee on the porch with the cold, low lying fog at the mountains. Can’t wait to return with my wife for a nice quiet weekend getaway.

Why they chose this property

Purchased the land in 2013, had culvert built over brook to access the land, brought in electric, dug a well, constructed a massive driveway up the hill, got permits and started building the dream dacha. Voila, all done, furnished, landscaped and decorated all by myself and getting rave reviews - not shy, am I?

What makes this property unique

Fresh air, no house in sight, peaceful.
Fire Pit is now completed:
45" diameter x 14" deep stainless-steel fire pit ring liner insert with 48" diameter large flat aluminum diamond plate fire pit cover, surrounded by Belgian block. Large flagstone patio with boulders for seating and Adirondack chairs made in Lancaster, PA, by Mennonites. Large rock slabs saved from construction of house serve as steps from driveway down to fire pit.
