Atmospheric apartment in a great location

The apartment has lots of character and is very comfortable. Great location on one of the squares. Everything is close. Some reviews said it was noisy but we found it very quiet. Slept in the bedroom facing the square and were not disturbed at all by street noise or the church bells. Olga tries hard to communicate if you don’t speak French. It’s a pantomime but we got there! Parking is convenient provided the parking pass is available. The common areas (entrance and stairwell) are quite grimy but the apartment is clean. Stairs are uneven and steep - no problem for us but would not be suitable if you have mobility or balance issues. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again if back in town.

Interesting welcoming

Very central. Walking distanceto train station. Lots of eateries and delicious bakeries . Interesting streets full of fantastic mediaeval buildings and cute shops. Comfortable beds. Had a great time.

Lovely apartment, perfect location.

Located right in the middle of the historical center of Dinan, this charming apartment is comfortable, cosy and very well appointed. Overlooking an attractive little square with two pubs and the surprisingly beautiful basilica. Close to a variety of shops, creperies and restaurants but pleasantly quiet, we thorougherly enjoyed our stay here.

Quirky and unusual property,perfectly situated for enjoying Dinan. Having the parking close by is a a real bonus. We thought the church bells might be a problem but quite the opposite. We will miss them!!

Week-end de l'Ascension

Cet appartement est idéalement situé à Dinan sur la Place St Sauveur qui est très agréable. Le parking mis à disposition est appréciable même s'il n'est pas au pied de l'immeuble, et il n'est pas toujours aisé d'y trouver une place, même avec la carte abonné. La literie est de bonne qualité, c'est un très bon point, et le linge de lit et de maison fourni. L'intérieur est charmant, en revanche, je déplore le fait de n'avoir pas été suffisamment bien renseignée sur les deux étages à monter avec un escalier très escarpé. Certes, il n'est pas accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite comme mentionné dans l'annonce, mais l'est difficilement aussi pour les personnes d'un certain âge et quand on a des bagages à monter. J'en viens aux points très négatifs : Un manque de propreté de l'appartement. J'ai payé 40 € pour le ménage, je ne sais pas si les personnes avant moi avaient fait de même, mais en tout cas, le ménage n'était pas fait à mon arrivée. Dans l'annonce est avancé le fait qu'il y ait une connexion Internet de qualité, ce qui est faut, très mauvais réseau et la télévision par internet est inregardable, image figée ou pixelisée, pas de son, etc etc. Puis une plaque vitrocéramique à la cuisine, trop de temps pour faire cuire quoi que se soit ! Bref un avis plutôt mitigé sur cet appartement où je n'aurai pas passé une semaine.

In the heart of the old town

The apartment is situated in the very heart of the old town of Dinan and has reserved parking just a stone's throw away. It is possible to park outside the apartment for the few minutes it takes to unload your luggage but finding out how to get there can be a bit problematical due to some streets being randomly closed. It is best to approach things from the Port Dinan side of the old town. Olga, who handled the check in was charming and very helpful, though you will need reasonable French to get the best of things. The apartment is in a very old building and comes with the quirks one would expect but that adds to the charm. It is comfortable for two couples and has all the amenities one needs. Dinan itself did not disappoint with plenty to see and do, not just in the old town (which is beautiful) but also Port Dinan and the wider town itself.

Mittendrin statt nur dabei

Diese Ferienwohnung ist etwas Besonderes. Direkt im Zentrum der pittoresken Kleinstadt Dinan befindet sie sich im zweiten Stock eines historischen Hauses. Die Kathedrale und eine beliebte Bar sind nebenan. Man fühlt sich fast einheimisch. Während die anderen alle zum Besichtigen oder Ausgehen dort unterwegs sind, wohnt man dort. Die Wohnung ist stilvoll eingerichtet, leider fehlt es etwas an Sauberkeit (siehe unten). Der schiefe Holzfußboden und die liebevoll zusammengestellte Inneneinrichtung versprühen einen ganz besonderen Charme. Mit Blick auf den Platz erlebt man eine Menge mit, ohne das Haus verlassen zu müssen, Gottesdienste, Hochzeiten, Trauerfeiern, Konzerte oder auch nette live Musik aus der Bar. Praktisch ist der im Mietpreis inbegriffene Parkplatz im nahen Parkhaus der Altstadt. Die Betten sind groß und sehr bequem. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war freundlich und unkompliziert. LAUTSTÄRKE Obwohl man viel von draußen hört, hat es keinen von uns vieren gestört. Denn was man hört, sind Menschen in der Bar, Kirchenglocken, Menschen auf dem Platz oder Kirchenmusik. Sie Altstadt ist praktisch autofrei, man hört weder Autos noch Baustellen. Nachts ist es im hinteren Schlafzimmer ruhig, im vorderen hört man bei offenem Fenster die Menschen in der Bar, bis diese um 2.00 schließt. Wir haben das aber eher als angenehm empfunden. SAUBERKEIT Bei unserer Ankunft waren Betten, Fußböden und der Kühlschrank sauber und gepflegt, alles andere eher nicht. Die Arbeitsfläche in der Küche, Toilette, Dusche und Waschbecken musste ich putzen, um mich wohl zu fühlen. Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher etc. wollten wir nicht benutzen, hier fehlte die nötige Pflege. Auch sonst haben wir hier und da nicht so genau hingeschaut. In dieser Preisklasse sind wir sauberere Unterkünfte gewöhnt. FAZIT Wenn Sie eine sehr saubere Umgebung brauchen, um sich wohlzufühlen, ist diese Wohnung nichts für Sie. Für alle anderen empfehle ich sie, weil Sie dort wunderbar authentisch in die bezaubernde Stadt Dinan und in das bretonische Leben eintauchen können. Besonders zu empfehlen für verliebte Paare für 2 bis 4 Nächte. Um das Putzen werden Sie zwar nicht ganz drum rum kommen, aber dann können Sie gemeinsam eine einzigartige Zeit mit bretonischen Charme und mittelalterlicher Romantik verbringen.

Nicht zu empfehlen!

Meine Frau und ich hatten uns sehr auf den Urlaub gefreut und haben in dem wunderschönen Ort Dinan diese Unterkunft entdeckt. Die Wohnung an sich war von der Einrichtung her und wie sie gemacht ist, wunderschön. Jedoch waren wir schockiert über den Zustand. Wir mussten nach 13 Stunden Fahrt erst einmal sehr lange und gründlich putzen. Die Küchenoberflächen, der Tisch alles hat stark geklebt, überall war alles voll mit Krümmeln vom Vorbewohner, der Kühlschrank war dreckig, Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine so dreckig innen und aussen, dass man sie nicht nutzen konnte/wollte, das Badezimmer (besonders die Toilette) wurde länger nicht geputzt. Auf dem Bett lag eine Tagesdecke und Kissen, die schon sehr lange nicht mehr gewaschen worden sind. Der Balkon war nicht nutzbar, da er mit Stützen versehen wurde(die während des Aufenthalts auch noch verstärkt wurden) und nicht begehbar war. Der Eingangsflur war dreckig, aber auch einfach Abstellkammer für unterschiedliche Dinge, was nicht einladend wirkte. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber müssen wir leider auch sehr negativ bewerten. Auf Emails wurde überhaupt nicht geantwortet, auf Telefonate nur sehr dürftig. Wir haben den Zustand direkt angegeben, aber es wurde einfach nicht drauf eingegangen, bzw. es wurde auch sehr unhöflich zurückgeschrieben. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Dinan und in der Umgebung, aber wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass die Unterkunft (die grundsätzlich schön sein könnte) normal sauber gewesen wäre und dass man mit dem Gastgeber kommunizieren kann und dieser hilfsbereit ist, so wie wir das sonst eigentlich nur erfahren haben. Daher leider keine Empfehlung diese Unterkunft zu buchen.

A lovely old building in a pretty square, near to good cafes and the tourist sites of Dinan. There is a little balcony which catches the sun, comfortable furniture and good facilities. The wifi was good once I had rebooted it and input the password without the spaces shown on the card.

Très bel appartement idéalement situé au cœur de Dinan La literie est très agréable et la cuisine bien équipée avec une senseo pour le petit café du matin . La place de parking est très appréciable dans un parking à 2 pas de l appartement. Nous avons profité des restaurants de la ville en click and collect Le colibri est excellent !

Tres bon sejour dans la maison des peintres

L'appartement est tres cosy, c'est tout a fait ce que nous recherchions. La vue sur la basilique est splendide. Nous avons eu un peu froid le soir, un seul radiateur dans le salon c'est un peu juste, mais avec un bon pull c'etait parfait. Tout le reste etait parfait.

Sehr schöne Altbau-Ferienwohnung mitten in Dinan

Wir waren als kleine Familie im Juli in der Wohnung. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Wohnung in einem mittelalterlichen Gebäude ist schön und geschmackvoll renoviert. Die Wände sind mit sehr schönen impressionistischen Bretagne-Gemälden dekoriert, die der Eigentümer gemalt hat, ein Lokal bekannter Künstler. Die Betten waren groß und komfortabel und nachts war es für eine Wohnung im Zentrum ruhig. Die Küche ist modern, sauber, voll ausgestattet und für diese Größe erstaunlich praktisch. Den kleinen Fernseher haben wir nicht benutzt, ebensowenig den Dekorkamin. Das Bad ist winzig, aber modern. Die Wohnung liegt in der zweiten Etage ohne Aufzug. Für ältere oder behinderte Menschen ist sie vielleicht nicht geeignet. Die Lage ist sensationell. Einfache Anfahrt, Ausladen vor der Haustür ist möglich. Ein sicherer Parkplatz in der zu Fuß in zwei Minuten erreichbaren und Tag und Nacht geöffneten Tiefgarage war im Preis inklusive. Die Wohnung ist an einem ruhigen Platz mitten im Zentrum von Dinan. Dinan ist eine traumhafte mittelalterliche Stadt ohne sichtbare Kriegsschäden und nahezu ohne Neubauten, voller netter Lokale und Geschäfte ohne Touristennepp. Die Touristenzahl hält sich in Grenzen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist, vor allem mit Kindern, die Besichtigung der Burg von Dinan mit kindgerechter Ausstellung, und der schöne englische Garten gleich hinter der Kirche vor der Wohnung. Der Empfang in der Wohnung war sehr freundlich. Wir bekamen alle notwendigen Informationen, allerdings nur in französisch. Für uns war das kein Problem. Wir danken für den tollen Aufenthalt. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in Dinan.
