We had a great time staying at this property. It was well appointed, very clean, and had beautiful views of the Black Hills National Park. The host and hostess were very accommodating and the overall experience was a very smooth one. Highly recommended!!
The four of us enjoyed the quiet setting by the creek (inhabited by two snapping turtles), eating outside on the patio, and playing cards in the game room beside the stone fireplace. We had a great time using it as our home base.
Perfect place for our sisters trip stay. Lovely setting, private and peaceful. House fully equipped with all you need. Backyard seating for listening to the wind whisper in the pines. Just perfect.
Pros: Welcoming and Responsive hosts. Location convenient to many attractions/activities. Comfortably furnished. Well equipped kitchen with outdoor gas grill and fire pit (with wood supply)/washer/dryer
Cons: 2 bathrooms but only one with shower/Steep learning curve for TV/satellite operation
This location was perfect for a girlfriend trip. Plenty of space, great fire area, close to Custer and had a stream in the backyard. The owners stopped by to ensure everything was correct at check-in, and let us know they lived right up the street if we needed anything. Perfect trip
The house was perfect for our family! You can't ask for a better location. We were able to make trips to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Devil's Tower, and Badlands while staying in one location. The secluded setting and welcome basket was icing on the cake!
This property is amazing. The house was so cozy. We had a relaxing time playing in the creek and watching wildlife. The host were very thoughtful. 100% would return.
Wonderful location right outside the park. But not too far away from alot of the attractions. Has a nice yard and creek in the backyard with a firepit and outside kitchen. Had a great time.
The property was perfect for our needs and the hosts did an exceptional job at making us feel welcomed! The home was very clean and roomy and had all the conveniences you could need. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes from downtown Custer, which made it a great launching point to all the local attractions. We would definitely recommend and stay there again! Thank you Michelle & Todd!
What a great place to stay! I can't say enough good things about this get away. The location was perfect! Just a few short minutes from everything. The running creek behind the house was amazing! We enjoyed firing up the bbq every evening for drinks and relaxation. The house was clean with everything we could possibly need. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
My brother and sisters and I came for the buffalo round up and stayed in the cabin it was excellent. We made so many wonderful memories. Thank you for letting us rent your home
We had several visitations with Todd what a knowledgeable guy we had several questions about the local area and utv rides great help about the local area. Much appreciated. Very nice location and a great place to stay. Thanks
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners, Todd and Michelle were quick to respond to any text. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We never took advantage of having the grill and outside patio, but it looked very inviting!! We walked down by the stream and also enjoyed watching the deer in the yard in the mornings and evenings. It was such a calm, peaceful setting and was so welcoming when we returned after each day’s adventure!
This home is in a perfect location that is close to Custer State Park. House was spotless including a well stocked kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise. We even saw the resident turtle down by the creek. There was a lot of good information about local hiking, restaurants and other family activities. We highly recommend this home. The hosts are wonderful and have a lot of knowledge of the area.
Myself and 4 friends spent Thanksgiving in Custer and could not have picked a better spot. The house was so lovely and perfectly maintained. It was close to the state park and to the town of Custer. We saw lots of wildlife and the house was exactly what we wanted to come home to after a cold day out. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We sure hope we will be back!
This is a beautiful property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was secluded which was great, well stocked kitchen and we loved cooking on the outdoor grill. If you’re on a motorcycle be aware that it’s 3 miles of gravel road to the house but it’s been treated, the dust was low and we didn’t have any issues. The location was perfect to go see all the sites! Lots of great restaurants in Custer too. Todd was great to talk with, sorry we didn’t get to meet Michelle. Wonderful experience, we’ll definitely be back.
Our hosts met us within 5 mins of arriving, made us feel welcome, let us know where to eat and fish and made sure we knew where everything was located in the house. The setting sure is a blood pressure reducer. And it's centrally located to everything in the area, so it makes a perfect home base for a vacation. And to make it even better, the house is very well outfitted - kitchen dinnerware and utensils are plentiful, bedding and towels are plentiful, etc. Our stay there was just what we needed.
Such a beautiful quiet peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the days end after hiking and exploring! Multiple deer, 2 sets of fawns that would play in the yard, 2 bucks, and 7 wild Turkey including 2 babies! Having a creek in the back yard was the cherry on top! Home was inviting and well stocked, beds were comfortable. Todd & Michelle were always so quick to respond, and super host!!!
The proprerty was scenic and beautiful both inside and outside. The outdoor kitchen was well complimented and frequently taken advantage of. The property owners were personable and met us when we arrived. They were reachable/responsive to a minor issue during our stay. Overall, this was an excellent solution to staying within Custer State Park.
