Spacious French Quarter Stay!

Everything was great! The apartment was very clean and the bed was wonderful with a nice TV. The living room was beautiful with nice and comfortable furniture plus TV. The half bath was such an added perk!

Gem of French Quarter

What can I say about this listing except for it is amazing!! Don't be deceived by the exterior of the building as well as the stairs leading to the property, as inside the unit, you will find an oasis that has been modernized top to bottom, while maintaining many of the original charms of the original architecture. The location is perfect!! It is steps from the French Market, which is a must as it showcases art and crafts from local vendors in addition to having many authentic creole/NOLA food vendors. Also, visiting Envie Cafe, which is literally downstairs from the property, is also a must as they offer very tasty dishes and high quality beverages. The property is VERY clean and is well managed. The manager, Mary, is very kind and she assisted us via phone from the moment we got there on how to get into the building as well as the parking facility. Of course there were noise, which takes time to get used to, but you are at French Quarter in NOLA so that's going to happen and to me, that's just adds to the experience. The noise really didn't keep us up too much and the street is far enough from all the parties, but close enough to experience all of the culture of the area. We really couldn't ask for a better property or experience. Thank you for hosting us and we hope to come back in the future.

Great place.

The instructions to get in were very easy to follow. The location is great. We walked to bourbon street every day and Frenchmen Street was only a couple of short blocks. There is an amazing restaurant on the ground floor. The place was very fancy and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Great Location but Needs Updating

Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The unit offers a great location, close to Frenchmen Street and a 5-20 minute walk to every attraction one would want to visit in the French Quarter. The unit is a bit loud, with little sound insulation from the street or the unit above. As noted by some other guests, the unit could use some updating. The front door knob is still difficult to operate, the WiFi is inconsistent, and the hairdryer does not get hot, just to name a few issues that should be addressed.

Best Way to Stay in the Quarter

This place was luxury at a very affordable price. Nothing can compare to true apartment living in the quarter versus even the nicest of hotels. Check in was a breeze while also being secure. Our host was easy to contact and even helped with the check in process when I had a question. Amenities were available, even ones I didn't think about. Close to everything in a very safe corner of the quarter, this was my best experience in NOLA so far.

The little hideaway

Beautiful property. Pics accurately show exactly how amazing it is. Close to bourbon street and canal street which has a lot going on during the day time.would recommend to anyone looking to escape your normal life. The property management team is amazing. Very friendly and super helpful.

Local Living New Orleans Get Away

The location of this accommodation was very good and we would probably stay there again. Overall, it's a good place but there is a little deferred maintenance: door lock was very sticky and difficult to use, the vanity mirror was broken and kept swinging open and trying to hit us in the head, some of the baseboard moldings fell off when we opened the refrigerator (which was a really nice one and helpful to have), the hallway light was burned out when you entered the stairwell which needs to be replaced as it's pretty dark there at night, the balcony floor needs work, 2 of the couches were quite dirty and need a good steam cleaning, the mattresses in those fold out beds were not great and we had to use two of the mattresses to make the one comfortable enough to sleep in. It is an old building so some things are expected to be a little rickety which was fine....Gotta love old buildings with history! The kitchen was very well appointed and quite lovely. The master bedroom was very nice with plenty of space....the whole apartment was very spacious! The location is very close to Frenchman Street area which is wonderful with all the live music going on. There is a wonderful Italian place right across the street and a great cafe right underneath the accommodation which we used almost every day. Right down the street is the Lebanon Grill where we ate 3 times it was THAT good! Being slightly removed from the French Quarter made it not as nuts crazy!

Great place

Been coming to NOLA for 34 years, this is the place by far. It just felt traditional New Orleans like- high ceilings, wonderful balcony overlooking Decatur, great restaurants and activities in the neighborhood. And updated appliances and fixtures. Only negatives were as advertised third floor and wifi was difficult to navigate.

This apartment is very nice. Was very clean. It’s a couple blocks from bourbon street so everything is in walking distance but it’s far enough away to be quiet at night. The master suite has one of the most comfortable beds ever. Would definitely stay here again

Amazing couples vacation spot!

My partner and I stayed her for spring break and could not have asked for a better location! Close to both Bourbon and Frenchman St, a mostly quiet location with a cafè right next door, and a beautiful space to come back to. Will be coming back :)

House or Cake?

I would have believed you if you told me you could cut into any piece of furniture-- chandelier, whatever, and it would turn out to be cake. It was all so (Big) easy. The bed is super soft and the bath deep and wide. A classic French Quarter balcony overlooking Decatur St, a charming cafe (envie) two floors below. Walking distance to most everything, but not too noisy.

Great location

great location, lots of steps, bring your own shampoo soap, really fun apartment. Kitchen has all you need for cooking BUT you need to get essentials like oil, butter etc. Not the cleanest place I have stayed ie. holes and pee stains on the blanket and stains on the couches but otherwise fine. Front porch door had to be closed by pushing chair against it as the lock and handles were gone and floor rotted by water getting in. Very convenient over Envíe for coffee, food, and across from The Italian Barrel - outstanding. Finally—Yes we would rent again!

Great location!

My wife and I love the location, the architecture, and how close it was to fantastic music venues, and great food. If we need to venture further than the neighborhood, we just did an Uber. People watching off the balcony was also a highlight.

French Quarter NOLA

Fantastic location close to everything with no car necessary to get to where you want to go. Three minute walk to Frenchman and six minute walk to Bourbon. Extremely large apartment with lots of charm. Great place to stay when visiting NOLA.

Lots of room!!

Nothing small about 508 Barracks Apt B. Great kitchen for the chef in you but why cook when there are too many great restaurants at every turn! Hot water abounds! Negatives were that there was no elevator. Since making the trip I’d hurt my leg and the stairs were hard on me at times. Not a fault of the listing but just in case, keep that in mind. The pillows for the bed were old, smelly and stained. Bathroom sink was very slow to drain. A last positive was our manager, Mary. She was always available when we needed her. That’s all for now!!

An amazing place with everything in walking distance

The place was amazing, extremely clean, the bed was comfy, and you're right in the heart of everything the city has to offer. Everything was in less than a mile of walking distance because this place was right in the French Quarter.
