DIrect Ocean Front Cottage with Private Stairs to White Horse Beach

If your dream beach vacation includes being on the water with direct beach access and dining, shopping, entertainment, and outdoor activities nearby, then “The Highland” is the perfect place to make your summer memories! Located atop a seawall sturdy bluff, this beach cottage provides sweeping views of Cape Cod Bay with private stairs to White Horse Beach below.
The open concept layout of the 1st floor allows for unobstructed ocean views from 3 sides. Whether relaxing on the covered front porch, enjoying a meal, or hanging out in the living room, the ocean is always in view. The 2nd floor contains 5 bedrooms and can sleep 6-10 people. Four of the bedrooms have full sized beds, two of which have ocean views, and one bedroom has two twin beds, one of which has ocean views.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, silverware and pots and pans. Please note that there is no dishwasher.
Linens, towels and beach towels are also provided.
There is on-site parking for 2-3 cars.
No smoking allowed.
Outdoor amenities include a covered porch, with rocking chairs, an enclosed outdoor shower to wash the sand off, a gas grill, a picnic table with umbrella, a basketball hoop, washer and dryer in attached shed, and an outdoor clothes line.
Plymouth area attractions: The Highland is just a short drive away from historic downtown Plymouth, America’s Home Town, where you will find a variety of restaurants and shops. Sign up for a whale watch, fishing charter, jet skiing or hit the links! Savor the history with a visit to Plimoth Plantation. If you want to go further afield, Boston is only an hour away or you can take the ferry to Provincetown There truly is something for everyone.

Best spot EVER!

We could not have been at a better spot! Paul and Deborah were the best hosts ever with so much info about the area and more! We would stay here again in a minute!

Great place

We had a great family vacation staying right on the beach. The location is amazing. The stairs down to the beach are a bit steep for small children, but doable. The yard was great to spend time in when it was a bit cooler on the beach. Lots of bunnies hopping around and beautiful mornings. The bedrooms are small and sound travels, but after a beach day we fell right to sleep.

Great Location

We had a great time. We were there in June and caught the heat wave so the cold ocean water was refreshing. Paul always returned my messages and was pleasant to deal with. He was great helping out with handicap situation He was there to greet us and give a quick tour. Everyone loved the outdoor showers. Paul had plenty of games and beach accessories to use. Beautiful sunrises and beach. Kitchen was well stocked. We made great use of the picnic table for dinners. Would rent again.

October Getaway

If you are looking for a quieter time of year and to enjoy the colors and coolness of days then this is your area. Less crowds but keep in mind the restriction with the pandemic and the closing of popular activities because of this time of year. It was nice to have down time and to decompress.

Perfect location on the beach!

Great location on the ocean beach. House has an open layout on the first floor, which is perfect for family gatherings. Views all day on the porch. General store is around the corner. Host is very accessible and flexible.

Amazing vacation!

We had a great time at the beach! The property is amazing. The home had everything we needed. Paul and Deborah were easy to get in touch with and Were very accommodating! We hope to stay again next summer!

Adorable Beach Camp

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Paul's beach house. House was campy but fully stocked with linens, towels, beach chairs and toys. We had 3 small children in our party and I will say that the only thing missing was a tub, but other then that our stay was great. Paul was very accommodating to our request for a late check out as well, which was much appreciated. We had a great time, and made a lot of fun memories for years to come.

great family place

Great family stay! We loved the beach! We had plenty of room for 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 younger kids! Bedrooms are small- but comfortable and really all you do is sleep in them! I hope we go back again next year.

Terrific location for family holiday

Paul’s place, right on the water, was everything we hoped it would be, a classic beach cottage that wasn’t fancy but met all our needs. We hosted family for Easter dinner and the space was perfect for that. The weather was perfect for April, sunny, cloudy, foggy, windy, but no snow! Perfect New England....we will definitely be back here again! Paul was an awesome and flexible host and was great to deal with. Thanks for a great memory, the Powers & Hoareau family

Beautiful View and Location

Paul was so gracious as to offer an early arrival to the cottage as we had some issues with our hotel stay in Brattleboro. When we arrived, we felt let down on the condition of the property. It was as if our early arrival may have delayed in some cleaning and preparation for our stay. If it were not for the location of the cottage, we most likely would have not stayed. The weather turned off cold and the upstairs bedrooms were very cold, even with the heat running downstairs. The single bathroom is located downstairs away from all bedrooms and it is a very steep and slick staircase. Since we did come in early, our host had asked if we could stay around and let the TV & stove repairman in. As it turned out, the day was spent on the property, so this gave us time for walks on the beach and just hanging out. Hopefully with some TLC to the cottage, this place will become a 5 star.

Cozy cottage with an amazing view!

This is a very rustic cottage, but the location is AMAZING. When we first arrived I was concerned about my eighty year old parents navigating the steep staircase and low ceilings leading up to the bedrooms and the only bathroom being on the first floor, but we all managed fine. The owner Paul is very accommodating, and the property is well stocked with beach essentials like chairs and towels, cookware and utensils, as well as toiletries like toilet paper and soap. The owners have gone the extra mile to make their guests comforable! Paul was very friendly and laid back, making sure our weekend was stress free!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this adorable beach cottage. It was so comfortable and the views were so breathtaking. It was very well stocked with anything we might need. We will definitely come back again soon! Thanks so much for everything !
