Luxurious Home w/Hot Tub & Pool + Water Slide

The house is a freshly painted (2025) luxury retreat located within the Scripps Ranch community of Waterford. The house has a large and inviting pool, a fun waterslide for kids, a hot tub and a built in BBQ. It's a perfect place for a family to relax and enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. It's a couple of miles from the lake with beautiful views, jogging, biking, canoeing, and more. It is centrally located in San Diego, <30 minutes from most things including downtown, the beaches, the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and much more.

Waterford is a very quiet residential neighborhood. Quiet hours begin at 8pm and continue through 8am; no loud music/noise that can be heard outside after 8pm. Any complaints from neighbors regarding noise or not abiding by rules will result in you being asked to leave immediately.

The house is on a cul de sac. You can walk to a hiking trail that takes you all the way around Lake Miramar (https://www.yelp.com/biz/lake-miramar-san-diego).

Guests will have access to the entire house, other than a standalone 1 car garage. The two car garage will be available for guests.

The pool and spa do not have safety covers and are not surrounded by gates. Adults must ensure safety for their kids by always being present and attentive. As well, the fire pit is on the ground and not protected, so kids must be watched when it is in use.

The spa and pool can be reasonably heated. Energy use is monitored and spikes during your stay will result in us having to assess additional charges.

During colder months it is not guaranteed that the pool with heat up to desired temperatures.

The tub in the primary bathroom does not function but there are tubs in two other bathrooms.

This is a terrific home for a family get away. Parties and events are not permitted.

Perfect getaway
20-30 minutes to most tourist locations this little suburban gem had all the amenities to make for a special family vacation. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and the pool with slide and outdoor space was a huge hit for our family. Great communication with owners.

Family Cali trip
The property was wonderful for me and our four kids. The convenience of having so much space, toys, a playroom, a pack and play, a high chair and even a stroller in the garage made the trip so much easier. The pool was wonderful and the house was in a great location! Very impressed and would definitely stay here again

Overall fantastic experience!
This property was ideal for our stay. Location was perfect and the house had all the amenities of home. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen/pool area and my kids loved the hot tub and water slide. Everything was clean and the homeowner was friendly and prompt to respond. We will definitely reserve this home for our group for future stays in the area.

Home was great, hosts were quick to respond and resolve one minor issue with smoke detector batteries. From the many VRBO’s we’ve stayed in this home makes the top of our list. Next time we come to San Diego we’ll search for this property to hopefully stay again!

Great Property
We came down to spend a few days in San Diego and used this property to stay. House is very nice and had more than enough space. Pool and spa in the backyard were great as well. Property managers were very responsive to questions and communication was great. Location had easy access to the Zoo and amusement parks. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. Would recommend this property to anybody.

Spring Break
The house was in a very nice subdivision. It had everything we needed for a fun vacation in San Diego. There was even a toy room for the kids to use. It was about 20-25 minutes away from the zoo, Sea World and the beach. We had a great time using the pool. My kids LOVED the water slide! We would definitely rent again :)

We brought all three generations of the family, and there was something for everyone waiting for us in beautiful La Jolla, CA! While the interior of the home catches your eye, the wonderfully constructed backyard will steal your heart. …from baby’s first swim to Grandma sliding into the pool, we made memories that’ll last a lifetime! Great Stay
Gary and Thien are great hosts. They provided a welcome amenity which was a nice touch, were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Our little girls enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It seemed the pool takes a while to heat up, but it may be actually how it works, the hot tub was heated in good time. It is a very quiet neighborhood, the 8pm quiet hours are a little strict, but even with our little girls having fun, we had no issues. It was a beautiful house, we would definitely recommend!

Excellent house and location
We had a lovely family get-together with multiple generations (teenager through geriatric). The house was perfect -- comfortable beds, a very functional kitchen, a great outdoor space with a gas grill, a pool with a slide (so much fun), and a hot tub built in. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The neighborhood was very nice and felt very safe. The property owner/ manager was very responsive and helpful. This is a great location -- while in a quiet neighborhood (there is some airplane noise during the day, but not really bothersome), also has convenient access to the downtown area and local attractions. Very convenient access to the highway and to shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property!
We had a mini-family reunion here with four adults and three small children (ages 6 years to 6 months). The home was beautiful, with ample space to accommodate everyone. Our main criteria when selecting a rental was finding something great for the kids-- and this house totally delivered. The kids loved the playroom full of toys and the room with the bunk beds. Plus the swing out front and the backyard pool with waterslide were also big hits. Spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds throughout. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. And the hosts were quick to respond throughout out trip. Would definitely stay again.

Grandkids loved the pool
The pool with the slide and waterfall was definitely the big hit of the trip for our grandkids. The house itself was far more “worn” than the pictures indicated, which was off putting initially, but the house suited our needs well. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and our youngest grandson really enjoyed the playroom. The 8pm quiet time (including weekends in the summer) didn’t seem particularly reasonable and the rules regarding noise felt stressful but it’s in a beautiful neighborhood and we understood the concern given that not all vacation renters are respectful. The owners were incredibly responsive and gracious and we had an overall nice stay.

Excellent for Families
The property is located in a development very close to a main road and with easy highway access. The roads have excellent sidewalks and Lake Miramar is accessible either via car, via sidewalks, or trails. We arrived during the transition time in Spring, with a chill still in the air so did not want to enjoy the pool daily, however, when it did warm up a bit the pool area was loved by the children. The quiet hours conform perfectly to normal sleep/wake hours, so we were especially grateful for the quiet neighborhood in terms of the kids getting a good night's rest. The kids played a few rather loud games of tag and Marco Polo and never exceeded the allowed noise level, so please don't let the noise warning deter you from booking a family vacation with children!

We found our home away from home! Beautiful house in a quiet and super safe neighborhood, not too far from grocery stores and amusement parks. Awesome pool with slide and spa, water floaties and toys, which we managed to use a few times during our stay. Patio dining set and patio lights added a nice touch for breakfast/dinner. We have a child with allergies so having a fully functional kitchen was awesome. And the washer/drier were great. Note that if the water upstairs stops at some point, it doesn't mean it will take a long time to fix. There is an auto shout-off system, and our host turned it back on in no time! Our hosts were super responsive and very helpful, and the welcome basket was a sweet touch. Thank you, Gary and Thien!

Beautiful property in a wonderful location!
We loved this house! It is spacious and the backyard is amazing. We traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids under the age of 6 and we lived in the pool and hot tub. The street is extremely quiet and the location is superb. 3-5 minutes from grocery stores, shops, restaurants and the freeway. It was easy to get downtown and all the city attractions were only about 15-20 minutes away. We would suggest doing an inventory of what type of food staples are in the house before heading to the grocery store as some of the items that may have been included in other vacation rentals may not be available here i.e., coffee filters, butter, etc. But it does have pots, pans, dishes, wine glasses, etc. and it had a nice pack and play along with pool toys and inside toys for the kids. We would definitely recommend this house, we loved our time here!
