A Couple of Things to Keep in Mind:

Aviation Enthusiasts' : Our locale boasts proximity to the George F.L. Charles Airport, facilitating convenient access to domestic flights and the occasional sight of small planes and helicopters gracing the Caribbean skies. The air traffic typically commences from 8AM to 7PM, averaging around 6 flights daily. If you relish the hum of propellers and the excitement of take-offs and landings, this unique feature adds a dynamic touch to your stay. For those who prefer a quieter ambiance, especially during early mornings or late nights, we recommend keeping earplugs handy.

Vibrant Beach Scene: Indulge in the charms of Vigie Beach, one of the island's most popular stretches of sand. Its minimal waterfront development provides ample space for recreational activities, complete with beach facilities and mesmerizing views of the northern part of the island and neighboring Martinique. Occasionally, the local community hosts lively beach events, adding a dash of local flair. By law, these activities must wind down by 12PM. For those seeking uninterrupted serenity, we suggest planning your stay around these events or joining in the festivities.

We had a lovely stay in this lovely home. We enjoyed the pool every before or after our excursions to Rodney Bay and Holiday Stable Horse riding on the beach. The meal cooked by Chef Anna was a highlight.

Awesome experience!

We stayed at this property with a toddler and an infant and had a great experience. It is walkable to the beach and some beach bars/restaurants. A grocery store is a short drive away. Heather was amazing to work with. She arranged for 2 pack and plays for the kids to be in place when we arrived. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we could need/want. Chef Ann prepared 2 dinners for us and they were both exceptional! Such a nice treat to stay at home with kids and have a restaurant quality meal in the dining room. Thanks Heather and Chef Ann!!

A slice of heaven!

Wow!We rented Marvin Villa for seven nights and couldn’t have been happier. The setting was absolutely gorgeous! We spent quite a bit of our time sitting on the spacious patio, admiring the beautiful view. It was the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails. There were four of us (two couples), and we enjoyed having our own private bedrooms and bathrooms. We had everything we needed during our stay, including a kitchen stocked with pots/pans and dishes—and even coffee, milk and a bottle of local rum to welcome us! We also appreciated the clean towels and bedding. The pool and grounds are maintained twice a week, ensuring the perfect island setting. The locked gate provided an extra layer of security. The location was good for us, too—within a five-minute walk to Vigie Beach, with warm water, a white sand beach and a couple of casual, on-beach restaurants. The hosts were communicative and helpful. We took their recommendation for a reliable cab driver, and we enjoyed several dinners at the nearby Coal Pot. A special treat was a chef-cooked dinner at our own villa. Chef Anna worked with us to accommodate our family’s preferences and dietary restrictions. The result was a delicious, intimate dinner In the villa’s spacious dining room. We took a boat ride to see the Pitons up close and spent the afternoon swimming and snorkeling at Sugar Beach. All in all, it was a relaxing, memorable (perfect!) family vacation at Marvin Villa.

Great base for exploring the northern part of Saint Lucia

My family (2 adults, 3 teen boys) stayed here for half of our time in St. Lucia. We chose it because we wanted to rent a house from which we could explore the northern part of the island. Long story short, we had a nice time here. The villa was clean and very close to the beach. The check in/check out process was easy. All-in-all, it was as advertised. As somebody else mentioned, the layout is a little funky. The 3 bedrooms and baths are in one "wing" of the house and the kitchen and living room are in a different wing with their own lock. We rented a car and did our own driving. I will note that the rush hour traffic in the Castries and between the Castries and Rodney Bay can be really bad. I tried to drive into town one morning to pick up some coffees and breakfast to bring back to the villa and that turned into a lengthy ordeal. Parking is also difficult in the center of the Castries. We visited a lot of beaches on the island and found Vigie Beach to be quite charming and one of our favorites. It's much less touristy than others. You can get a rum punch for 10ECD instead of 20USD. All in all, we'd stay here again.

Excellent support, not quite on the beach

The house and pool are very nice, although the house layout is somewhat curious (could use a few more keys to the gate to the bedrooms). House is well furnished, could use a few more pool toys. Arranged transport from the airport and a rental car through the owner, that was well done, as was the property manager’s (Maxine) response to a minor maintenance problem. It is close to Vigie beach, within walking distance, but probably not if you’re taking a cooler, etc. Chairs are available at the beach for $10 USD/day; it would be nice if the house had a few beach chairs. The airport is only an issue when the prop planes sit idling for 20-30 minutes, pretty loud with some fumes, but otherwise watching them come and go is interesting. Yes, we’d stay there again.

Marvin villa

This location is awesome! Spectacular view of the bay and a 2min walk to Vigie Beach. The house is set up like 3 separate suites. The main suite has its own bathroom and shower, the other 2 rooms share a bathroom and shower. The Kitchen and living room space are separate from the rooms but that proved not to be an issue. The Salt water pool was perfect, not too warm or cold and we used it everyday. Lastly, Heather our host was extremely nice to work with. She was very responsive upon arrival at 9:30pm and checked in mid week to ensure we were completely satisfied.

Marvin Villa

Marvin Villa was lovely. We were helped out by Maxine who was absolutely wonderful. She was always available and got back to us immediately about everything. She was fantastic and I have only great things to say about her. This villa is on a lovely property but yes, it is by the airport. We were not bothered by this but you can definitely hear the planes. The proximity to Vigie beach is perfect and was one of our favourite beaches, some days it was busier because of the cruise ships and some days we were one of very few families there. There are a few restaurants on the beach as well but make sure you go before 3ish because the food options run out. The location is nice, fairly central, 20 minutes to Rodney Bay and about 40min to Marigot Bay. You will enjoy your time better if you rent a car at least for a few days as there isn't a ton of stuff that is within walking distance. Maxine and Heather can arrange a car for you as well. The villa's main living area is open to air so there were a few bugs, mostly small fruit fly type things, didn't bother us at all but something worth noting. Also, just be aware that VRBO pricing is in AMERICAN. We ended up spending more than we thought because of this. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend.

Wonderful relaxing stay

We think this must be the best place to stay on Saint Lucia! We had a very warm welcome from Heather , the owner, and a meal ready for us on arrival, which was most welcome. The house is very comfortable and the pool is delightful with great views. Just a short walk away is Vigie Beach which we thought much much nicer than Reduit beach as it is not crowded at all. The location of the house is very central on the island and so makes getting around easy. We used a shuttle service to take us from the airport to the villa and Heather organized a rental car to be delivered and picked up from the house which was cheaper and more convenient than the usual rental companies. We had a lovely day with the Endless Breeze company sailing along the coast to Soufriere where we visited the volcano, mud baths, waterfall and had lunch in a chocolate plantation. We then had a great sail back up the coast. The company minibus picked us up and dropped us off. Another great trip was to the rain forest. Again the company minibus picked us up and dropped us off. It was a fascinating several hours exploring the rain forest, we did it gently in a gondola above the trees but the zip lining looked like a lot of fun. We had a lovely evening in Marigot Bay. We had dinner at Chateau Mygot right on the edge of the bay, delightful. The local beach was just gorgeous and the food at the bar was reasonable and tasty. Heather was a wonderful host, very attentive and helpful. Communicating with her was so easy from even before we arrived. A couple of things to be aware of: the third bedroom contains the security system, the noise from which could be disturbing; if you use Catalina to prepare a meal for you, have very clear communication on menu choice and grocery purchase to avoid misunderstandings; as in most Caribbean hotels and houses, there is no A/C in the living areas but there is a fan available. We had a wonderful and most relaxing time at Marvin Villa and would highly recommend it.

Terrific holiday

We had a great holiday and enjoyed our stay at Marvin villa. Well equipped, great view of the sea and a lovely pool. Carmelita's cooking and house keeping was much appreciated. Our driver, Diego really went out of his way to help us best explore the island and was very friendly. Most importantly, the gracious hospitality of Heather and her level of attention to our comfort was outstanding. She truly cares about her guests and it shows. Thanks again Heather! Paradise found!

What can I say that hasn't already said? We have used VRBO several times in the past and this property may be the best yet! The location is ideal - no, the airport noise is NOT a problem! - and the house itself is certainly unique in design. Our check in was flawless (even though we arrived way past 9:00 PM) and Heather is lovely. Classy without being snotty - we like that! The staff are all wonderful. Catalina with her perfectly prepared meals, Brian the polite gardener, Fletcher the caretaker and Kendall who looked after the pool. There is an almost constant breeze which makes use of AC only necessary at night for sleeping. We hadn't planned on renting a car but so glad Heather talked us into and arranging a rental for us. We visited Rodney Bay and were very thankful we were at Vigie Beach as Reduit Beach is absolutely jammed packed with cruise ship visitors! On the way back to Hewannora Airport, we drove the West Coast through Marigot, Soufriere etc but be prepared for very winding roads and lots of "hair pin" bends. All in all, a perfect vacation at one of the best properties on VRBO. Thanks Heather and we still want to kidnap Catalina!

Family vacation 2019

This was hands down my very favorite family vacation. We decided to try something new and rent a home instead of staying at a resort. It was the perfect decision for our family. We absolutely loved the home, the views, the accommodations and most of all Heather. She made everything run so smoothly for us. We didn’t have to worry about anything. She helped us rent a car, got a driver for us, had Catalina prepare us 3 amazing dishes and tend to our every need. I literally felt like I was dealing with family. I was so sad to leave. We all hope to come back and would absolutely stay here again and again. I would advise you to pack mosquito repellent, along with your sunscreen, hiking shoes and bathing suits. There is so much to do on this beautiful island full of kind and warm people. I can’t wait to return.

Marvin Villa is everything you would want a island home to be

What a wonderful time here in Saint Lucia and Marvin villa. Our trip started with Heather being so welcoming, She showed us around and pointed out that there was champagne in the refrigerator to start Our vacation. She even arranged a rental car that was delivered right here to the house. It made learning the new driving technique much easier. The locals were ever so helpful no matter where we went. We were here for a wedding and had 12 people here for rehearsal dinner, it was lovely. Everyone had a wonderful time , Relaxing in the pool, and taking in the view. Catalina created incredible Meals for us and it was so nice to come home after a day of sightseeing to a wonderful meal waiting for us. Brian is very nice and even arranged with Heather a extra fan for the kitchen while I was cooking for the rehearsal dinner. We just can't say enough about the amazing hospitality. Our rooms were lovely and had air conditioning for warm nights and we loved that the main house is open with wonderful trade wind breezes! Also Heather arranged a fishing trip for the guys which was very successful and we had fresh fish for dinner that night, we even got to bring some home. We will definitely come back to this lovely home and this Enchanted island!

Enjoyed our time immensely. Airplane noise and occasional fuel odor detracted the pleasure somewhat

The loveliness and welcoming of the host could not be improved upon. The cook, housekeeper provided excellent meals and was very pleasant to converse with. Host helped with securing a shuttle to and from airport and a rental. Driving around the island is not for the faint of heart!

Overall, a terrific experience

It was a wonderful stay at Marvin Villa. Heather was kindly awaiting our arrival (with prosecco!) and gave us an orientation to the property and to many of the restaurants and activities to try during our stay. She was always available via phone or text if we had any questions or concerns. Catalina, the cook, prepared a couple lovely meals for us while we were there and cleaned the villa periodically during our stay. The villa itself is very nice. The rooms are functional and while the master bedroom was spacious, the bedding and linens in the rooms could be updated in the rooms. One bedroom has security equipment present in it and the "hum" may make it challenge for difficult sleepers (we were a group of 4 so none of us occupied this room). The kitchen likewise is functional with the bare necessities. The washrooms are clean and spacious with nice showers. The star of the villa however is the outside space. The view of the beach and the spacious pool area with plenty of seating was a great way to relax either in the morning with breakfast or in the evening after our adventures. This in itself was worth the price. The location itself is ideal as we were steps from Vigie Beach, which based on our journey around the island is the nicest beach on the island. While there isn't a tonne to do in Castries, the area felt very safe and it was a great central location for us in terms of journeying to other spots on the island. We would not hesitate in staying at Marvin Villa again.

Awesome stay

After a 7.5 hour delay in our flight by AIR CANADA we finally made it to St Lucia. I was worried about getting into the home since we arrived at 12:00 am but Heather had made arrangements and we were greeted by a nice man who showed us around the house. In the morning the cook Catarina showed up and took us to the store to get groceries for which she cooked an awesome breakfast and supper. She came back on Thursday as well on my husband birthday Sunday and cooked some local cuisine. Would highly recommend her services The house and the surroundings were just as nice as the pictures show. The outdoor pool area and sitting area overlooked the beautiful bay below and was just a short walk to the nice sandy beach . The host Heather was very pleasant to deal with and was very accomodating. She called a few times to make sure everything was ok and gave us recommendations on places to visit and eat. I would highly recommend Marvin Villa to anybody looking to stay in St Lucia. My only complaint was that you can only buy warm Pitons(beers) in the stores LOL

Stunning, relaxing stay at Marvin Villa

My family of 4 stayed at Marvin Villa as a second week in St. Lucia. What a beautiful home and property! We loved having the pool there and it is a 5 min walk to Vigie Beach. The area feels safe and its very close to Castries for groceries. Heather, our hostess was very friendly, met us upon arrival with a St. Lucia signature rum punch. She showed us her lovely home...it is very nicely furnished, comfortable beds and the bedrooms have air conditioning, which was a nice bonus. The yard was also beautiful..and if one was so inclined...could catch some crabs off the front lawn to supper!! Heather was attentive to any concerns we had and was always available. She had good recommendations of places to go and things to do. We loved our stay here for the week and it felt like our home away from home for sure! Thank you Heather for your hospitality!!!

Private villa with your own pool and gorgeous view

Marvin villa is a beautiful private villa with its own salt water pool and balcony where your whole family can relax in a quiet atmosphere. The view of the ocean and the mountains is divine. Vigie beach is a nice beach about a 2 minute drive or 5 minute walk down the hill. It is only minutes away from the capital of Castries but really you will need to drive 30 minutes to Rodney Bay for restaurants and supermarkets. You must have a car. The owner, Heather, is very attentive and if you need anything she will take care of it. The housekeeper Catalina keeps everything neat for you and she cooks amazing! Definetly have her cook for you while you are there. I would have given this place a 5 if not for a few things: The house has little bit of a different layout. You have to walk through all the bedrooms to get to another bedroom which causes a little bit of a privacy issue if you have two couples staying there. Also, the living room, dining room and kitchen are detached from the rest of the house and don't have screens or air conditioning like the rooms do. The mosquitos are really bad all over St. Lucia so pretty much to be in the those rooms you have to wear tons of bug repellant. It would be much more comfortable to have screens on those areas. Other than that we really enjoyed the villa.

Wonderful view & private pool!!

Heather, the Owner and host is AMAZING! She met us at the house & explained everything for us. Chef Catalina is wonderful & makes amazing food:). The house is very clean & Catalina comes a couple times to clean the whole house. The swimming pool is large & warm. It’s also chlorine free! The beach is very close & a wonderful place to spend a lot of time. The living area is separated from the bedroom spaces and is accessed by a breezeway in the back of the house. The living area does have an open, unscreened wall. It’s secure, but does not stop flying insects & moquitoes. Bring bug repellent :). The grocery store and Bank in Castries takes around 10 minutes to drive there. Bank of St Lucia is only open until 2pm Monday-Thursday. You can also exchange money at the inter-island airport. We also bought water at this airport. There is a cafe, but it is pricey. We rented a car at UVF airport. Heather gave us very detailed driving instructions to reach the home in Castries. There are no house numbers & we were unable to use our phone maps. I suggest getting a paper map to help you navigate the island. The reason I gave the house 4 stars is because the inter-island airport is right next door & is very loud at times. One of our favorite beaches was at pigeon island. Perfect for snorkeling, swimming & walking around. $8 US for adults 12 & under $3 US, open 10-5pm. We also loved snorkeling at Anse Chastanet. The sulphur springs were awesome & relaxing. We liked the beauty of sugar beach but was the only beach we all got stung by jellyfish. Not severe, but was painful. TIP: if your driving yourself around...don’t let anyone pull you over to the side of the road. Keep going. A lot of locals will ask you for money or donations for children. Give if you like, but remember you can say no.
