Would visit again
Cecilia and her husband John were great hosts. They were communicative and friendly before, during, and after our stay. We were offered very early check in and late check out (which is a HUGE bonus if you’re familiar with Hamptons travel) & went above and beyond to make us feel at home - John even offered us his car (it had a beach parking sticker)!! The house has a lot of character and is clearly well loved. It is in a fantastic location between Amagansett and East Hampton, and is within walking distance from both. I would definitely consider renting again. Thank you Cecilia & John!!!

Nice people & location, but some issues for those with allergies
Cecilia and John were so nice and check-in was easy. The house is in a great location and has many amenities. Unfortunately it really only has 4 proper bedrooms; 1 king, 1 queen with a twin, 1 queen, and 1 full with a twin. There is a twin bed in a room off the living room (1st floor) that is filled with antiques and is musty. The other twin is on a porch that is a tiny room. Dogs live in this house and there is dog hair and a smell of dog especially on the first floor. It is a very old home and there is a mustiness throughout, so not a good property for those with allergies.

Birthday Celebration Success Story
I stayed at Cecilia and John's East Hampton for the weekend of my 25th birthday and it was an AMAZING stay! My closest girlfriends friends and I found comfort in our weekend home in the Hamptons. From the oversized kitchen to the outstanding backyard, my friends and I couldn't be happier with staying at this home. At the center of East Hampton, this house is a (less than) five minute car ride from everything including beaches, delicious restaurants, Stephen Talkhouse, shopping, CVS, etc. You couldn't find a better location if you tried! The eclectic art and different pieces of furniture throughout the house made it feel so homey, hardly like we were away from our own homes. With different sized bedrooms and multiple couches, the house can comfortably fit 10 people and has plenty of room to spread out. Our favorite part of the stay though, would have to be their massive backyard. Pictures DO NOT do it justice! The pool was to perfection and the outdoor furniture made the perfect hang spot for all of us over the course of the weekend. Their pool floats were fun and trendy, perfect for 20-somethings looking for a day in the sun if the weather permits! A fan favorite was their outdoor shower that might have well been an indoor shower with the quality water pressure and heat that came through! Can't thank Cecilia and John enough for an AMAZING WEEKEND! Already looking forward to booking my next long weekend, or even week, at their East Hampton home! Definitely do yourself a favor and stay here, you will NOT be disappointed! :)

Family friendly and charming
This is the nicest house we have rented yet in terms of style, comfort and convenient location. Wonderful details throughout and very nice owners. Our family really appreciated the thoughtful way they helped us plan for arrival--making sure the house was suitable for our kids and had kid-friendly furnishing (it does). We'll be back.

Cozy Getaway
This is our third year renting off-season, and our second at this house. Once we found this place, we resolved to come back and had a great time both years. The house is spacious and bright—it’s got a great fireplace and full dining room for fall/winter evenings. Big kitchen is very well equipped. All the bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished, and the hot water, etc. is great. Best of all is the location—right in the village so you can walk everywhere and really close to the ocean beach. We would pop down for a morning and evening walk in less than 2 minutes. Also, the house is large but has numerous cozy corners for reading, relaxing, napping, and all the other things our family likes best. (There is also a great library!) The Fords, the owners are warm, helpful, and attentive. We will be back next year!

Great time again!
This is our 4th year back at this house. It seems to work well for everyone in the family. The teenagers love being able to walk or bike to town and their beach—so do the adults. Not needing to drive everywhere is great. The little kids like the hot-tub near the pool—it’s like a private pool to them. I enjoyed the great kitchen and the comfortable beds. Also, lying next to the pool in the hammock. Thanks—we’ll be back next year!

Great Summer Rental
This was our first trip to the Hamptons from CA and we had a great time in this home. The kitchen is well stocked, the dining room was great for groups, and the pool/Jacuzzi were amazing. Everything is a close walk and the car that comes with the house is perfect for exploring the hamptons. The owners were very responsive, flexible and accommodating.

Lovely antique filled spacious home.
As soon as I walked in the door I felt at home. The beautiful rustic antiques and folk art looked like what I'd want in my own home. Each room is flooded with light at some time of the day and the sun porch has windows on 3 sides so it's always cheery. The huge couches in the living room facing a roaring fire are the perfect place to be on a chilly day. As a former professional chef, I found the kitchen stocked with everything needed for a fine meal. When we didn't want to cook, it was a short walk to Citarella. Our stay was in the early spring so we weren't able to try out the pool. The internet was fast, the property clean and the owners were incredibly helpful when we had some difficulty finding the house. I have recommended this property to friends and family.

Convenient, cozy house & great pool + hot tub
This house is delightful and besides being very well- located, is well-appointed and comfortable in many ways that rental houses are usually not. The furnishings are all attractive and pleasant; the linens and towels are nice; there are plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc. In fact, the kitchen is great—the restaurant stove is a treat. The overall effect is of a very comfortable, welcoming, environment, that’s not too personal, but not impersonal (i.e. hotel-like) either. It’s got taste and style, but there aren’t a lot of the owners’ personal stuff around (except lots of great books—adult and children’s). Anyway. We were delighted because we have rented some houses that looked great on the outside or well located well, but inside the furniture, paintings or bedspreads were so ugly that it was a drag. Also, the house has great light. The pool is particularly nice—it’s gunite, not plastic, and looks almost Mediterranean—again, there’s a level of taste here that you don’t often get. So though the house is more old-fashioned than some (e.g. claw-foot tubs, though some bathrooms are have showers, and there’s a great outdoor shower), the owners seem to have made the most of the vintage they were working with (1920’s? 30’s). Definitely would work well for families and groups of friends- or holidays. Like I said, lots of dishes, etc. and a big dining room. An added bonus: the owners are really nice, responsive, and friendly. We had no problems, but whenever we had questions, they were on it very quickly, and things moved smoothly throughout.

Wonderful summer
I rented this home with a group of friends for about 2 months during the summer of 2012. The house is charming and well-maintained, with a lovely pool and backyard. Its proximity to the town of East Hampton (about 8 minutes' walk time to the main street) cannot be beat. The inclusion of a car with an East Hampton beach sticker was also tremendously valuable. All bedrooms were well air-conditioned, the kitchen well-appointed, and the living spaces were comfortable and inviting. The owners were tremendously helpful and communicative from start to finish. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Perfect stay!
This is a home away from home: cozy, comfortable, spacious and inviting. Just a few of the many good things that come to mind: the pool and deck are delightful, the beds are great, the showers have nice water pressure. For those who like to read, many, many books line the rooms' bookcases across a wide span of subject matters. The car with beach parking permit was an added bonus. The owners are very sweet people. The rental logistics were smooth sailing. Our family already is asking when we're going back. Thank you again for a great weekend.

Fantastic Rental - Close to beach
Tastefully decorated, comfy (and plentiful!) bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a great pool and hot tub. Within easy walking distance of town and a short drive to the beach, the house is the perfect get-away rental. I'd recommend for both short-term stays and longer-term rentals -- it's the kind of place you can really settle in to and enjoy. I'd easily rent again.
