It is an adorable little basement studio. The owner Shellie is amazing and very responsive. The view is outstanding from both windows and the doors. I will definitely stay again as I have work in that area quite often.
It was a tiny, but mighty place that had everything I needed. I love the proximity to and view of the lake—also how close it is to restaurants and market. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven.
My wife and I needed a quick getaway from all the hate directed towards conservatives in our country. The cabin was just what we needed! Rustic, quiet and comfortable. There is nice amenities within walking distance and being on the water was nice!

Mountain Getaway Disappointment
The unit is quaint & cozy, in a great location & does have lots of potential. However, it is in dire need of a deep cleaning. Floors were dirty, pet hair on the ice in freezer, pet hair on the brown curtains & window sills. Windows were covered in dirt & the bathroom shower is in need of repair. It had a significant water leak, was not clean. The unit is not set up for people who plan to attend an important function. No iron, ironing board, or full length mirror to assist with dress clothing.
Cliff the maintenance man was very friendly & is working on the shower issue.
This cabin is well equipped, great use of space. Market across the street has a great deli!

Lake Almanor
The house was decorated every cute. The location was great right next to the lake. The floors and shower were very dirty. There was no screens on the windows so you couldn’t open to let the cool air in. You couldn’t adjust the ceiling fan over the bed and the fan blades were every dirty. The cooking pans were in really bad shape nonstick coating on the bottoms was all scratched up. There was no place to put your clothes. The front window didn’t lock. There was only one little ice tray to make ice. The outside table and barbecue were very dirty. It’s to bad because this place could be very nice if it was taken care of better.

Vacation
The only thing I do not like was the lock box for key.
My husband and I stayed at the cabin to attend a wedding. The cabin was perfect for just the two of us and had everything we needed. We enjoyed looking at the lake while enjoying our morning coffee and evening cocktails.
Property was wonderful. Check in and check out was easy. Neighbors are very friendly. Owner responded in a timely manner. We enjoyed our
stay very much!
decent property. view of lake obscured by parking. definitely needs new sheets and pillows.
lake and weather were amazing.
the whole town pretty much shut down but the market and Red Onion restaurant were terrific
It was a nice quiet place. It was nice being able to dock the boat for easy used during our stay. A bit of a difficult launch as there’s not a dock at the launch ramp. However no issues. Housekeeper was late and the place wasn’t clean when we got there however owner was great when I couldn’t find the box for the key lol and with my other questions I had regarding the property prior and during the usage.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was well stocked & very clean. We would definitely rent it again very peaceful there. The only thing I wish it had were window screens & screen doors so that you could open the windows & doors without any mosquitos coming in while you were dining outside & enjoying the view of the lake. 5 stars all the way to host Shelly Plaut! Thank you again Shelly.
This little "cabin" is tucked under another cabin but it is a very comfortable, efficient, and cozy. There is a view of the lake that is about 50 meters away. In fact, the picnic table by the shore is a perfect place to take breakfast and drank in the morning sun, peace and beauty.
The cabin has a great bike decoration theme that is tastefully distributed throughout. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals but it is not expecting gourmet chefs. We had everything we needed. Basic seasonings, and cooking oil were provided. My only concern with the kitchen was that the pans tended to shift sideways on the stove burners. The bed was comfortable with adequate pillows and options for blankets. The gas "pot belly stove" for heat was fantastic. We visited in January and it was lovely to return to the cabin to the cozy gas fire flame that was efficient and quick to heat up the area after we had turned it down in our absence.
We did need to contact the owner at one point and received fast respectful response to our concern. This cabin is a studio, about 400 sq ft, but it is not too small for two people to enjoy their restful stay by the lake.

What makes this property unique
My property stands out from other options for several reasons.
