Labor day weekend stay

We enjoyed our stay at Remedy! Great location, very spacious layout, which was great for my husband & I, our 16 yr old daughter & in-laws. We enjoyed the front porch for breakfasts & in the evening. We will definitely be back!

Beach stay

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. I even asked to add an additional day to our stay and they said yes and made the addition an easy process. The home is beautiful and stocked with literally everything g you could need during your stay. Definitely will stay again.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

My husband and I, our daughter and 3 little grandchildren stayed here for our 3rd time. We loved that the house was so nicely stocked with kitchen necessities and decided to come here for our Thanksgiving celebration. Our 2 adult sons stayed in a nearby hotel. We and 1 son came from Raleigh, NC and one son came from Tampa, FL and our daughter came from Baltimore. We enjoyed the beaches, playgrounds, fire pit at night and backyard for kickball and soccer with the children and their uncles. The only problem we had was the very low toilet in master bedroom (my husband is over 6 feet tall). We also discovered wood rot on the front deck right by the sun room door. We covered it with a chair so no one else would step on it and get hurt. Other than that, we love Remedy and sweet Colonial Beach.

Adorable River Cottage

My daughter and I met at Remedy Cottage for our annual mother daughter get away. We both thought the house and beach decor was perfect. We had remarkable weather and enjoyed the easy walk to a nearby beach daily. Even though it was a holiday weekend, we were able to socially distance and felt comfortable and relaxed. We look forward to a return visit hopefully in the Spring. Thanks for your hospitality.

Mini vacation at Remedy Cottage

This cottage was perfect - cozy, so nicely stocked (even had a stroller for my 2 year old grandson because we forgot ours), kid friendly and just so comfortable. We loved the charming setting - completely surrounded by water and little beaches and friendly people. We discovered many playgrounds for my 2 and 4 year old grandsons and lovely places to swim. We said that it felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. We plan on returning next year and definitely for a longer stay.

Cozy place

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying here! The house is cozy and we spent most of our time in the sunroom. It is about a 5-7minute walk to the waters and to the playground - which was convenient. Really quiet neighborhood and can’t wait to come back.

A lovely escape

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. The neighborhood was lovely and the slower pace much appreciated! Several beaches are an easy walk from the house, as is a playground. We enjoyed the space both inside and out and the internet capably allowed office working and two virtual classrooms to run when needed! The kitchen was also well stocked and made family meals a breeze. Thank you!

Just perfect

Remedy is an excellent house with a lot of spacious rooms for our stay in Colonial Beach. It's location is perfect for a quick ride or walk to the beach. Remedy is just that...a remedy for a much needed break from a busy life.

Awesome Cottage

House was beautiful and clean would love to visit again . Only problem a used bar of soap and a rubber bath sponge was left in shower . But mistakes happen I went and got cleaner and we are good .

Friendly, comfortable and convenient location

The house was comfortable and well appointed. It's less than a two block walk to the water to catch the sunrise, but if you're looking for a sandy beach, it's about a mile away. The neighborhood was very friendly. We had a great little getaway!

Great House for Families with kids!

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend with our toddler and infant. The layout of the house was perfect, and the yard was big. They had a pack and play and a high chair, socket protectors, and kid-proofing available for the cabinets. A playground, beach and outdoor restaurant with plenty of space very close by.

Great house and perfect location!

We rented this house for my in-laws to use for our wedding weekend at Colonial Beach. We own the house across the street and needed extra space for family to stay at. I had never been in the home, but adored it from afar. It is so cute on the inside and has plenty of room for guests!!!

Excellent Getaway!

The property is even nicer than it appears in the pictures. The layout flows well, lots of places to be together or be apart, plenty of room for company, the kitchen is well stocked. It was just perfect for a low-key getaway.
