Located on Trinidad Bay, this Cape Cod style guest cottage is just steps away from beautiful Luffenholtz Beach and the spectacular coastal views from Tepona Point. The scenic and rocky Trinidad coast is one of the most spectacular and pristine segments of the California coast. We invite you to experience the dramatic landscapes of Luffenholtz Beach, explore the tide pools at nearby Baker Beach, or enjoy the dramatic ocean vistas from nearby Houda Point, a popular beach for surfers, painters, and bird watchers. At the end of the day, you can relax at the creek side patio, or enjoy a glass of wine sitting in two Adirondack chairs overlooking Luffenholtz Cove and the Pacific Ocean while enjoying the sunset. Located just 2 miles north is the quaint seaside village of Trinidad, with restaurants, shops, and galleries. The Redwood Coast Airport is less than 10 minutes away. Luffenholtz Beach Cottage is very private and is surrounded by lush mature gardens. It has a queen size bed, cable TV, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom with tub and shower. Sound of the surf from room.

Excellent location. Away from town but very short drive to restaurants and grocery. You could hear the sound of the surf from the room. Short but steep walk to the beach. Owners were very helpful when I had a problem with my car. An excellent stay. Would highly recommend.

Luffenholtz Delight

Great location! 2miles to Trinidad and 103 steps to Luffenholtz beach. Owners are a delight and the grounds are immaculate! We divided our time between sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean, walking along the beach, birding and visiting historic sights in the area.

Lovely Seaside Cottage

This was a perfect place for a dual get-away weekend and wedding celebration. Loved hearing the ocean waves in the morning while on the deck and admiring the natural beauty of this magnificent part of California!

Clean, comfortable, quiet cottage in the woods but near the waves. So special!

My husband and I had a very nice stay at this lovely beach cottage. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We were nestled in the trees but could hear the waves nearby. Such a nice experience! The cottage was very clean, well-stocked, quiet, private, and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to Hosts Tom and Tom!

The property is beautiful with gardens and paths leading throughout and nice views. Short walk to the beach and a short drive into town. Cottage was very nice. The ocean and the creek could be heard. Dark sky can be viewed from the cottage deck.

An absolute gem

We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The property has beautiful gardens and you are steps from the beach. Tom and Tom were incredibly welcoming, responsive and on point with their recommendations for restaurants and coffee. We loved their dog, Lucy, who is super sweet. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very clean. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful retreat, this is the spot!

This was exactly what we wanted. A beautiful few and peace and quite at the end of the day! The place is stunning with all the beautiful plants. Our few of the ocean from the beautiful front lawn was amazing. Access to the beach was easy. Trinidad is a quiet little town. We loved it here

Beautiful studio cottage... very comfortable and well furnished. Kitchen has plenty of cooking tools and dishware. Property and gardens are amazing! This is just steps from one of the best beaches on the Humboldt coast. Hosts are very friendly and greeted me as I arrived. Thanks so much!

Beautiful respite near the sea

Fabulous private location just across the road from a secluded beach. Comfortable and clean with nice furnishings. Gorgeous property! The sound of the nearby creek and ocean is so relaxing! Just south of the town of Trinidad with easy access to the 101 as well to explore the redwoods.

Spectacular

This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely cottage, super comfortable and clean! The hosts are very friendly but completely respect your privacy. Lucy their dog is super sweet, she just can't resist welcoming you! It is so quite and relaxing. The little secret garden is spectacular, a wonderful place for a private picnic or quite reading. We will visit again!

Slice of heaven

This sweet cottage above a garage is very quaint and private. You are free to roam the owners’ incredible gardens and sit in comfy chairs on a rock patio nearby soaking up the ocean view. The nearby creek and ocean waves hide any noises (not that there were any) and lull you to sleep. Across from a crescent moon shaped beach and close to a scenic bluff (walking distance), this is the perfect escape from the busy and noisy city life. Owners are deeply kind and have great recommendations. Trinidad is super quaint and there are parks and trails, including the Redwoods, nearby. Accommodations very comfy and quiet with a nice kitchen and bathroom. Can’t wait to return!

The Perfect Getaway

My husband and I love the redwoods and the Northern Coast, so we decided to stay in Trinidad. By luck we landed at The Seaside Cottage and were able to bask in both while staying cozy & comfortable in this sweet studio.
