Great birthday trip
This was a lovely cabin tucked away from the hustle and bustle down by the beach. I slept so well in the bed I asked what the mattress was! We will definitely be returning during the winter to try out the cabin in the snow! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Cute little detached cabin in the perfect location, walking distance to Kings Beach and golf!
Owner is a lovely woman who greeted us with a tour of the cabin and all the amenities offered with the rental. She even gave us a bucket of golf balls collected from her backyard! (Which is adjacent to Old Brockway Golf course) We hope to stay again in the fall!!

Amazing stay in North Lake Tahoe in the summertime!
We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time with no complaints. The space was perfectly clean and spacious, and a very short drive from town. We would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the north side of Tahoe!

Amazing!
Lisa was a wonderful host. She helped us settle in with a mini-tour when we arrived and was available at reasonable hours when we had questions throughout our stay. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into setting up the accommodations and consistent effort goes into maintaining them.

Great Stay
Overall, the property was well located and had all the necessary amenities. A perfect place for one or two people who are active during the day. The cabin is small and not really made for just hanging out during the day.

Great location
We really enjoyed our week in the cabin. It is secluded and quiet yet close to everything King's Beach has to offer. The cabin is small but is clean, well-organized and has everything you might need. The setting in the trees is great and we enjoyed hanging out in the front yard that features a chair lift swing. Our host Lisa was very kind and helpful. We would love to stay again in the future.

Cozy cabin to discover wonders of Make Tahoe
The cabin is really nice, clean and cosy. Kitchen fully equipped (we loved the espresso maker :-)), comfortable bed and a nice yard where we had a great and relaxing time for breakfasts and some dinner. Location is perfect, very calm and nice neighborhood and everything in King’s Beach is accessible within less than 20 minutes walk (and the nice golf restaurant at 5 minutes). A lot of hike, bike trails and water sports available. Loved it!

2024 Labor Day Weekend in North Lake Tahoe - Stellar!
I really can't say enough fantastic things about this place. I kinda don't want to tell you how great our visit was staying in this amazing cozy cabin/home... the reason is we don't want competition next time in booking it! The owner is adorable and so accommodating. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. You really don't need to drive once you are checked in. Just super clean, everything worked perfectly, and it's so lovely! We also cooked dinner one night on the new professional outdoor grill and ate in the little rustic courtyard there. Just magical eating dinner outside in this beautifully landscaped home. We will book again this year!

Wonderful Cabin
The cabin at Tahoe Vista was perfect for our week at Lake Tahoe. The location is great – just a short walk to Kings Beach and several local restaurants. The cabin itself is small but well equipped and comfortable for the two of us. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with our coffee. Lisa and John are great hosts and take pride in their property and North Lake Tahoe. They gave us great hiking and day trip recommendations. We will come back.

Perfect Tahoe Stay
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! Came in for the end for the year holidays and couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Lake Tahoe. We were able to cook using the stay’s kitchen and utensils, walk around to local restaurants, stock up on ingredients from the local grocery market (less than a quarter mile away), and make a drive up to Tahoe Palisades to ski/board! John and Lisa were very kind and incredible hosts! I forgot my gloves in the cabin and they reached out to send them back! Look forward to staying here again!

Definitely stay here
This adorable cabin, clean and well-appointed, is perfect for 1-2 people. It is so pretty that just having breakfast there before a day of adventure is a joy. The pine wood cabin smells delicious and is set among other cabins and trees. There is literally everything you would need from a washer/dryer to clothes soap! I liked the location; it is in a quiter part of Lake Tahoe but still accessible to everything. The hosts were nice and helpful but not intrusive. I hope I can return soon!

Cozy, Clean, and Perfect Location
This was our first trip to Tahoe and we are so glad we stayed on the north side for the first half of our trip. This little cottage was perfect and in a fantastic location! Its tucked away on the owner’s property with its own driveway and there’s plenty of privacy. It’s designed like an efficiency just as the photos depict. It is a short walk to nearby eateries and the beach. There is a grocery store just around the way. It has all the amenities for cooking and even a stacked washer and dryer. They had record high temp for the summer and mid day activities were hot, but the cottage stayed cool with the help of a super quiet window unit. The bed and linens were cozy. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I’m sure this place would handle the winter well. This is a perfect couple’s retreat. We would stay here again.

We had a bad experience.
We were only able to stay in the cabin for two nights because the weather and our vehicle was not able to get in and out of the cabin driveway. The owners were great and the cabin was cute, no complaint there. My critiscism would be that my vehicle was stuck in the snow for 48 plus hours in the cabin neighborhood and not one local offered to help me get my vehicle out. Not one. They rode past me and looked. Now we are talking about folks that live there and are used to navigating in the heavy snow. Not one local helped. If you come to Texas for a visit and experience the same tragedy or similar I can assure you that many folks will jump to help you. We know how to show compassion and generosity here in Texas.

Nice and cozy cabin
As the description says, it is a small cabin, so do not expect to see a Buckingham Palace. What you should expect is a very functional and clean place to spend some days/nights. We spent a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pretty much everything exceeded my expectations: from very friendly John (the host) meeting us when we arrived and giving us a small "tour" of the place, to how nice and "stuffed" the kitchen was. All those stainless steel pots and pans made cooking and eating feel just like home. Thank you, John and Lisa, again, for giving us a small home away from home for a week.

Great quiet cabin with a full kitchen and other creature comforts. I would try to insulate the bathroom, we found it to be very cold and need brighter lights in the bathroom. Overall, great place to stay!

Came to Tahoe in 1964 and stayed. Met, married, and raised 3 boys here. Love the pure air, pure water, healthy environment. Love to share the history, the beauty, the activities, and the hiking directions with my guests

Why they chose this property

This sought after location, within the Old Brockway Golf Course, is in one of the oldest neighborhoods at Lake Tahoe. It was established in 1926, and developed by Henry Comstock of the Virginia City Gold and Silver Mother Load era. Centrally located to all Lake Tahoe's activities available yet remains private. The property itself is surrounded by over a dozen 100 foot tall Pine trees, dozens of smaller Aspens, and many varieties of wildflowers and perennials

What makes this property unique

Private driveway for two full size cars, private yard and patio with gas BBQ tucked in and surrounded by Aspens. The complete kitchen provides opportunity to create great meals. The ski lift swing in the front garden/yard came from Tahoe Donner Ski Resort is right next to the outdoor umbrella table. Leave your car secure in your own private driveway and walk to the Lake, or hike/bike to most of the local area focal points and trails, free to explore the surrounding beauty
