The perfect Cape cottage - comfortable, tastefully decorated, within striking distance of everything a Cape vacation requires - Marconi, Head of the Meadow, P-town, groceries and restaurants. Had a lovely time from beginning to end.
We found the place to be very relaxing. It’s a nice cottage - clean, beds are comfortable, outdoor shower is great, as is the deck. Perfect for four people but also worked for our grown family of five.
Owner super easy to work and communicate with.
We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated the small thoughtful things(ex. Kindling and wood in the fire pit). The cottage is very cute and cozy. Perfect for a cape cod vacation!
An ideal location off the main street and less than a mile walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet in September and we enjoyed the peace. Cottage was generally well appointed; we had everything we needed for a week's stay. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Lighting was great.
I would consider this more of a camp than a cottage. If you are expecting a camp, and prepared with your linens and knowledge to bring everything you need to cook etc (except pots and pans, plates and utensils), then you will really enjoy this camp. We loved the location and it is very well decorated. We did not have back issues with the mattress which was nice. You just need to remember to bring everything you need like soap for the shower, bath mat, dish towels, towels, sheets, salt, pepper, coffee, and any kind of seasoning, but there is a Keurig and regular coffee maker which was nice.
Upon arrival property intensely smelled like cigarette smoke. The cottage was also bug infested. Lots of spiders, ants, and even a frog inside during our stay. Toilet is moving around, not affixed fully to the floor. The full bed mattress is sunken and very uncomfortable. Overall condition of the cottage is bad. Amount paid for rental was much too high for the condition. Reasons listed above heavily tainted our family vacation experience. Owner 1-2 days to respond to communications.
Everything was perfect. Great location, quite area, easy access. The cottage was very clean, inviting and spacious. The outdoor shower was awesome, the best one I've seen. Communication with Dan was very easy. We would go back to this cottage anytime.
Really cozy cottage. Location is central to all you may want to see and do on the Cape. Just enough room for four. Nice to be able to cook your own meals and not have to go out for every meal during Covid. Fire pit a big plus. Kitchen supplies could be beefed up and refreshed, adding new spatulas, some tongs, bigger / thicker hot pads, perhaps some spices and a few kitchen towels. The walk to Campground Beach is completely doable but be aware of folks not readily slowing down or moving over for pedestrians. Great beach for families especially at low tide. Super little sandwich shop along the way for grabbing lunch foods you may not have packed. Another great week at the Cape.
We just needed a place nearby our family members’ house where we spent most of our time, and we didn’t go out to public places because of Covid - so being near places we’d want to visit didn’t apply at this time, although it did seem convenient to them. The cottage is set back from the street behind trees - pretty and quiet. It was very clean and comfortable; some features are older, some newer. It seems that thought was put into making renters have a good experience.
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The classic Cape decor was lovely and the beds and furniture quite comfy. I was grateful it was furnished with dishes and cutlery as well as spices and kitchen utility items (matches, aluminum foil, storage bags, etc.) It had everything we needed for a memorable stay on the Cape.
My partner and I stayed here for a getaway weekend in September. We were pleasantly surprised by this clean, cute, private cottage with cute beach decor. We could walk to Campground Beach on the bay side in about 15-20 minutes. There was a little bit of noise from Route 6 at the cottage, but not much. We really felt at home and away from the rest of the world, and enjoyed our sunny days at the beach. I recommend you bring a night light or two; it is very dark there at night and we kept bumping into furniture when getting up to use the bathroom. Also if you come off season bring an extra blanket--each bed has a blanket but they're not enough for chilly fall nights. Bring your own soap, shampoo, towels, sheets, and kitchen cloths. It's like having your own cottage! We loved it and would come back.
This is a lovely home !!! Simple and functional and a perfect fit for our young family. The home is clean, the deck is good size for hanging out and the yard is great for kids to run around. It’s central location made it easy for us to drive 5 minutes to the bay, the ocean and bike trail. The Hole in One bakery is a short walk or and even shorter drive for a delicious breakfast donuts and coffee , and there are a few deli’s nearby for sandwiches.
Thank you for sharing your home with us !!
The place was so cute and the location was excellent! We were very happy to of been able to share our first family vacation here.
Dan was very easy to get a hold of and extremely nice.
The only complaint we would of had was there was a lot of cobwebs in the corners of places and when we pulled the couch out there was some cleaning that got missed being there.
Overall the place was great! We were very happy with our stay
Thank you!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Daisy cottage. Just a quick drive with our toddler to Campground Beach, a perfect beach for little ones. We also enjoyed taking the shuttle to Coast Guard beach, which is beautiful. (not for swimming unless you're a pro.) Outdoor shower was such a treat, and we loved having fires at night. Could have used some more gear in the kitchen for cooking meals at home, since going out wasn't an ideal option (thanks pandemic). One day we took a ride to Wellfleet Center and had the best ice cream (Emack & Bolio's) outside at A Nice Cream Stop. Then wandered around in a little community garden and green space behind Preservation Hall. Almost felt like a normal tourist-y day! We also took our son to a playground behind the elementary school, which is next to the fire station -- recommended for little ones, especially those in love with firefighters. Also, try the donuts from Hole in One, so close by, SO good. Thanks for a great stay!!
