About this property
80 LEX 201 : Exquisite Lodging 1 BD King / 1 BA 639 SQ FT + free parking
This is it.
In a city all about it's micro-neighborhoods, N. Lexington Avenue is The Neighborhood. This is the historic and cultural center of downtown Asheville, once home to farmers and growers and today the heart of all things trendy, artsy and quintessential.
And on hip Lexington Ave., Apartment 201 at 80 LEX – a building once the town's feed and seed warehouse, now its hottest address – is THE place: a 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment + one free parking space, that breathes Asheville chic.
Fast, Local Service
Customer service is the cornerstone of our business. We know it begins with your very first email and doesn’t stop until you’ve checked out, with a smile on your face.
So, here’s our promise: You’re our priority. We want you to have a fantastic time in Asheville and at 80 LEX. That’s why we’re 100% local – just minutes away, should the need arise! – and almost always available. We respond to any request within 3 hours (and usually, much sooner). We promise, we won’t leave you hanging.
And that means, no vacation rental nightmares. If you’re locked out, we’re there! If the washing machine breaks down mid-wash, we’re there! Or, if you’re just desperate for a restaurant recommendation, we’re also there. Just a call away, whenever you need us.
Bottom line: We know that the details – the big AND small details – are what count. They can make or break your vacation. So, we’re committed. Committed to you and your Asheville experience. (Reviews don’t lie!)
We look forward to welcoming you to Asheville!

80 LEX 201 (occupancy: 3)

80 LEX 203 (occupancy: 2)
80 LEX 204 (occupancy: 2)
Location, Location, Location
If you’ve ever wandered through downtown Asheville, then you’ve felt the wanderlust (and “wonder-lust)” of N. Lexington Avenue.
This is the most hip and quintessential street in Asheville – a place where restaurants go unadvertised and the best bars have no signs, just a door. This is a place where high-end art galleries abut record shops, upscale shoe stores, and more.
And, while Real Life may be about compromise – sacrifice This to get That – we believe that vacation should be a special time. A time you get both This and That, no compromise required.
80 LEX is your no-compromise-required destination: both urban and urbane, situated right in the beating heart of our vibrant city. Enveloped by the energy and excitement of downtown life, Unit 201 embodies and embraces the Asheville scene – a scene that draws designers and artists, creatives and music lovers, foodies and artisanal beverage aficionados alike.
Here’s what awaits:
Dining: Asheville is a food-and-drink dream – there’s a reason Livability named us a Top 10 Foodie City! – and from 80 LEX, you’re just minutes to much of your must-eat list, including Curate, French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Limones, Rhubarb, Posana, Table, La Bodega, Chai Pani, The Market Place, Cucina 24, Mamacita’s & Wicked Weed.
Shopping: Royal Peasantry and Earth Magic are both located directly below Unit 201, while Honeypot Vintage, the Downtown Asheville Tea Room, and Hip Replacements Clothing, among other must-see shops, are located on the same block.
Urban Trail Art Tour: Art lovers, put yourself right in the center of Asheville’s Urban Trail, a 1.7-mile walking tour home to 30+ stops at creative landmarks, public sculptures, dioramas, and more.
Festivals: From Downtown After Five (once a month, in summer) and the Lexington Avenue Arts Fest, to Drum Circle and Art in the Park, downtown Asheville, Lexington Avenue, and the River Arts District are ripe with arts, culture, and creative pursuits.
Chicken Alley: Stray chickens no longer roam downtown Asheville, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pay a visit to historic Chicken Alley, just outside Apartment 201.
Live Entertainment: Asheville has a vibrant music community, but reading through dozens of venue websites can be tedious and time consuming. Checkout these venues within walking distance: Asheville Music Hall, The Orange Peel, Harrah's Cherokee Asheville Center (aka Civic Center), Barley’s Taproom, Jack of the Wood, One Stop, Tressa’s, Tiger Mountain Thirst Parlor, 5 Walnut Wine Bar. With so many shows happening each week, it can be easy to miss one of your favorite bands. Asheville Music Guide (AMG) is an independent, locally developed online resource that aims to help fans of live music stay up to date with shows happening at all of the venues in Asheville.

About the host
Hosted by Reservationist, Sarah

Growing up Santa Fe, NM I saw a unique blend of artistic community, endless outdoor opportunities, interesting history, beautiful landscapes, and a diverse mix of cultures.
Though far from Santa Fe and a different climate, I arrived in Asheville in the early 90’s to practice Chinese Medicine and felt some of the same elements at play. Asheville was not well known, but you could feel the energy building and the mixture of art, landscape, environment, history and community all coming together. It reminded me of my ‘early days’ in Santa Fe. One of my closest friends was Andy Brokmeyer, who I told for several years that he needed to come to Asheville, as it was a dynamic and exciting place. We were also avid kayakers, and Asheville has been a Mecca for kayaking since the early days of the sport so I knew I could lure him out with the promise of all the great rivers in the area.
He came out ‘for a visit’ and hasn’t left. That was 16 years ago.
Asheville has grown into the most happening place in the region, far beyond my expectations, and has sustained an authentic, community oriented and dynamic quality. Like my dad used to say about few places, it has ‘cultural energy’.

Why they chose this property
Though both Andy and I had done some residential real estate investment and development, 80 N Lexington was our first move into the commercial side. It was an old building, greatly in need of repair, and was a bit removed from the core downtown commercial traffic. We scraped together what we could and fixed it up, with an eye towards something special in the future.
Now, many years later, North Lexington Ave is hopping, with restaurants, breweries, bars, tea houses, coffee shops, galleries and wonderful, diverse retail shops right out the door.
And 80 N Lexington has been transformed into a blend of funky, hip, and industrial intertwined with lush, upscale design. A mix of style and comfort that is unique and authentically Asheville.

What makes this property unique
Just like Asheville, there’s nothing quite like it.
