About this property

Cozy Country Cottage on 1,000 Acre Working Ranch -10 Min to Pinnacles Nat'l Park

Our Love Nest is both private and charming; perfect for 1-2 guests. The 'log cabin' exterior is fitting for the ranch environment and the interior is reminiscent of the “Gone with the Wind” era. This cottage contains a comfortable queen sized bed, floral tapestry love seat, 'faux fireplace' heater, A/C, combo TV/DVD player, small refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, ass't coffee/teas. We also provide high quality bed linens and towels as well as bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toilet paper etc). The bathroom is private; includes a toilet, sink and shower. There's a small closet for your belongings. Set apart from the other guest accommodations, you will enjoy the privacy of the Love Nest, nestled among towering oak trees. It is important to note that we have a variety of animals here on the ranch and strive to make their quality of life healthy, happy and comfortable. Our Love Nest is in close proximity to our peafowl aviary, which holds approximately 25 peacocks and peahens and also near our "Doggie Chateau", home to our beloved ranch dogs Ringo and Scarlet. The peafowl can be vocal during mating season and on occasion the peafowl and/or dogs may become boisterous, as they alert when a predator (bobcat, coyote, etc) is on the property. Since the Love Nest is close to both pens, we want guests to be informed.

Guests are welcome to use our tennis and basketball courts, including our ping pong tables and popular Game Room located in the large blue barn. Inside, there is a pool table, air hockey and foosball as well as a gaming table to play poker and other card games. We have a variety of board games available. There is a collection of DVD's that may be viewed there in the game room on our big screen TV or borrow a few to watch in your guest cottage and return them later on.

Guests are welcome to hike on our property. We have nearly 1,000 acres total and there are hiking trails that lead to the top of the mountain. When you reach the top, there is a large, beautiful deck with comfortable furniture where you can enjoy a respite or snack while taking in the most incredible view of our property and surrounding properties. If you enjoy hiking, this is a must!

There is usually someone here on site, but if not, we are available by telephone 24/7. If you have a special request, or question, do not hesitate to contact us. Upon confirming your reservation, we will provide pertinent contact information.

Ranch Stay in a Cute Little Cabin
If you like being "on a ranch", this is the place! This cabin is relatively newly built, tastefully appointed, and blessed with plenty of shade. The ranch manager and staff were helpful, kind, and quite accommodating. We liked being so close to Pinnacles National Park.

Close to Pinnacles
We enjoyed our stay in the “Love Nest”. The cabin was exactly as described and clean/comfortable. The ranch is nice, animals fun to see. We hiked in Pinnacles three days and this was the perfect spot to come home to.

Great hidden treasure
Really great, unique place to stay. Property is tucked away from the road and is very private. Awesome olive trees everywhere. Great views of the rolling hills of the area. Cabin itself was very comfy. Highly recommended it!!

Pinnacles Visit
One of the closest spots to East Pinnacles. Very peaceful spot and the hike to the viewing area is a great way to start day before long car ride Property manager very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend.

Pinnacles adventure
Beautiful property! No unexpected surprises. Staff is friendily. Plenty of critters to check out. Peafowl were doing their thing, but didn't bother me.

Cozy Cottage Near Pinnacles National Park
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Love Nest cottage at Pinnacles Country Inn. The cottage is adorable and has just about everything that you can possibly need in it. Their attention to detail was perfect. We loved seeing all of the animals each day as well. The proximity to Pinnacles National Park is a huge plus. Anyone planning to visit there would be wise to consider staying at this unique property. Our only regret was arriving too late to visit their store, Oils of Paicines. We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in this part of California again. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Beautiful property!
We had such a perfect weekend staying in the love nest! Thoughtful touches throughout the space, we had everything we needed. The entire property itself was gorgeous with a fully outfitted game room and adorable farm dogs. We hiked to the scenic overlook (about a mile each way) and it was absolutely stunning. Very conveniently located close to Pinnacles National Park and a perfect place to turn in after hiking all day. Will definitely be staying here on future trips with friends and family.

Close to Pinnacles
This cute little cabin was perfect base for our trip to Pinnacles NP. We traveled during an immense heat wave with temperatures of 109 degrees. We were quite comfortable in our small hime. Shelley was very accommodating and gave us recommendations for dinner spots nearby.

Nice little cottage
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while we hiked in the Pinnacles. It was clean, and the manager did an awesome job of communicating with us. I gave it a 4 for location because of one factor. It is very close to the east entrance of the Pinnacles, which was great for my wife and I. That was all we needed. If, however, you like to go to town, you are about 25-30 minutes away. Just depends on what you want. We would stay here again if in the area. We enjoyed hiking and relaxing here at the end of the day

Beautiful Fall Weekend
We chose this property because of its proximity to Pinnacles. Arrived on Friday afternoon and enjoyed a sunset hike on their trail, it was a great warmup for the weekend. It was chilly so we really appreciated the heater, kept us very cozy. Also enjoyed having a fridge and microwave as it is some distance to food. At the end of our stay, we enjoyed shopping at the farm stand on site. Would definitely stay again and have told several friends about our great experience.

Truly great ranch stay
We spent two nights at this cottage in mid-October. It was the perfect home base from which to explore Pinnacles National Park. The cottage is definitely cozy - there is just enough room for two people, but it had what we needed and we enjoyed our stay. We particularly loved the opportunity to explore a working organic olive ranch, complete with friendly farm dogs, lots of wildlife, and incredible night skies. And Shelley, the ranch's business manager, was incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you to everyone at the ranch - we are already scheming up a larger family trip to the ranch in the future!

Great views, comfortable accommodation, friendly animals
We enjoyed staying here across two lodgings with a group of six. Thank you for accommodating us, and thank you for opening your beautiful ranch to us. (And thank you for letting us play a little with your dogs!) The drive into the ranch can be a little intimidating, so visitors should try to arrive in the daylight (at least for check-in). And remember to save time to enjoy the hike!

Perfect Pinnacles Location and More!
What a wonderful place with gracious hosts who made sure we enjoyed the property although we were there for the terrific access to the eastern part of Pinnacles National Park. The ranch had amenities such as a hike to a beautiful deck to enjoy lunch and peacocks, dogs, horses, as well as less domesticated animals. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

We are two busy physicians that purchased this 1000+ acre ranch in 1991 as a tranquil getaway for ourselves and two sons, Dustin and Ian. We enjoy all that country life has to offer; our various domestic animals including horses, cows, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, peafowl, cats, and 2 busy ranch dogs, as well as breathtaking views, wildlife sightings, native plants and the ability to do as much or as little as desired. We have tennis and basketball courts, ping pong, a two story bunkhouse that also houses a pool table, air hockey, large screen TV with a vast collection of DVDs. We offer numerous comfortably charming guest cottages/houses, Several years ago we planted over 1250 Mission organic olive trees which produce our award winning extra virgin olive oil. We have traveled all over the world and love meeting new people from all cultures. Come and experience our beautiful getaway in Paicines, California.
