You have your own private beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The 'Diamond of Destiny' is a beautiful property located on the beach in the exclusive gated community of Destiny by the Sea, Destin, Florida. Destiny by the Sea is the only guarded gated community on the beach in Destin. 3600 square feet and three floors, another 800 sq feet of terrace space, overlooking the beach and the beautiful gulf of mexico. Five large bedrooms with king and queen beds. An Elevator. A children's bedroom with two sets of bunk beds for the kids. Heated Community pool and spa (jacuzzi). Tennis courts, gym, golf, and great restaurants await you nearby. Unsurpassed shopping just a short hop away. The ultimate attraction is the emerald green surf of the Gulf of Mexico, bordered by Destin beaches of soft, white sand! Complimenting our stunning beaches, are endless water sports to include fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, and all types of boating. Varied attractions for vacation fun includes golf, shopping, water parks, along with arts and entertainment attractions. For guests who want the layout of the Beach house; 3rd floor: Master bedroom overlooking the ocean, master bathroom, adult bedroom and bathroom. Both with king beds. Terrace overlooking the ocean. 2nd floor: Dining room with sitting for 10. Living room over looking the ocean, bar and free standing ice maker, complete kitchen , adult bedroom and bath. queen bed. All floors have terraces overlooking the ocean 3th floor (romantic)...2nd floor(family)......1st floor (kids) Our home has Netflix for your enjoyment. We just acquired a set of cruiser bicycles to ride during your stay. It's great fun to ride bikes around Destin and it's great for the environment. There's a 10 mile bike path just ourside our neighborhood. From spring to the end of Oct. two beach setups(2 umbellas and 4 chairs) will be provided with your names on it. They will be set up each morning and taken down each evening for your convenience (a $840/wk value).... Have fun.....

Home needs work and updating. Bikes rusty, chains off, flat tires. Rented a bike. Check-in process super easy. They say you can park 3 small cars. Sign in front of building says it allows 3 cars. Gate workers say unit only allows 2 cars-big problem. Regardless-3 small cars won’t even fit. Love that it permits pets. Oven inoperable. Countertop oven provided only allows small pans. Appears to have been broken and inoperable for quite some time. Overall wonderful stay but property needs to be attended to and maintained better considering the price and location.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Our stay reflects several of the previous reviews that state this "Diamond of Destin" is definitely the complete opposite. This host is less than accommodating, and threatened to charge us if we left a bad review. Once he puts some of his attention into this house as VRBO is intended, we could recommend the location. It sounds like it's always the renters fault in the end, and that will be his response to this post. I would be weary to rent here for fear of threatening extortion mostly, but also because it is genuinely gross and unkempt, and several items not working, including essentials, the oven and dishwasher. The pictures on the list by are from years past.. We are a reputable family who has very high expectations for ourselves, we leave things better than we found them and felt very belittled and unwelcome here. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.

The neighborhood, location, and rental process were 10/10. The beach chairs/umbrella set up was AMAZING. The house is good but needs a lot of TLC- porch doors were very hard to open and close and despite some interesting instructions on how to lock the front door, we could not figure it out. The back door to the beach still hasn’t been fixed and can only be locked by a chain at the top of the door. Deck furniture was broken. Kitchen cabinets are off their hinges and the oven is very hard to open and use. The house is plenty big enough and great for entertaining, with some much needed updates it would be perfect for the price. We had several other families renting homes on the same street and they paid quite a bit less, and their homes were updated, cleaner and in better condition. We love this area and neighborhood- it wasn’t our first rental here and it won’t be our last.

We had a marvelous time the diamond of destiny. Plenty of space for everyone. This was an excellent location on the beach. We used the provided beach set up everyday.

Perfect location
This house is perfect for groups with kids. You're directly on the most beautiful beach in a very safe and quiet neighborhood, so it truly doesn't get much better. If being on the beach all day is your idea of a perfect vacation, just bring food and drink, and don't plan on having to leave at all.

Peaceful Paradise
This beach home is the best one we’ve stayed in. It’s very spacious and the lay out of the home was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The ocean view from the home is beautiful. We were only steps away from the beach. Our reserved beach chairs and umbrellas (2 chairs and 2 umbrellas) were waiting for us each morning. That was a perk because we are usually having to get to the beach early to reserve chairs and umbrellas. The homeowner is easy to get in touch with and a good communicator. My family and I will definitely rent this perfect place again.

Perfect Beach House!!
Diamond of Destiny was an absolutely perfect beach house. It had more than enough room for our entire family and we absolutely love being right on the beach. Destiny by the Sea is a wonderful neighborhood and close to everything we enjoy in Destin. Dr. Archer has thought of everything with this beach house! We have stayed in a lot of beachfront homes throughout the years in Destin and this is by far the best we’ve ever stayed in. This is now our go to beach rental to make wonderful memories with our family in Destin!! Can’t wait to book this again next summer!!

Beware! Property is not as expected!
This house could be nice, but it has fallen into a state of disrepair. The back steps to the beach are rotting and screws are poking through the boards. The deck up from the beach has five plastic chairs on it, three of which are cracked. The back door to the beach has only a rusty chain to keep it closed/locked. If there was a fire this would be a major problem. In the house some of the lights don't work, the ceiling is cracked in the main gathering area, our bedroom furniture had broken knobs, etc. The kitchen has a nice refrigerator, but the balance of the appliances are very old and difficult to operate. (Bring your own cereal bowls, there were only four there, and three of them were plastic.) We understand this is a rental house and a certain amount of wear & tear should be expected, but it was way under par for what we were paying for. Also, you are not allowed to bring your own umbrellas to the beach! This includes baby tents as well. This was not communicated to us, but the owner did reimburse us for the extra rental we had with the beach service. Do yourself a favor and before renting this property check and see if any renovations have been done.

We loved the location, safe gated neighborhood, and the fact that we were right on the beautiful beach. Neighborhood pool was perfect for a little break from the waves. Beds comfortable, great for our large family with kids aged 16-3 years. We will definitely consider staying again!

We absolutely loved the house, the location and the experience. Great value for the money and the community was outstanding. Dr. Archer was easy to deal with and made the process easy and comfortable. Being right on the beach was a huge plus! We will definitely consider this property for future vacation plans.

Gorgeous!
This house had so much room, was clean, right on the beautiful sands, and had the basics to get us started. They had lots of toys and floats for the kids, a net (we left 2 more) to catch little critters with, bicycles, 2 boogie boards. We had a fabulous time and dreaded our last day to arrive. The only con was the remodel construction on the vacant house to our left. The workers were there each weekday morning and stayed until afternoon. Hammering and sawing. Wish we would have been told or thought to ask that question. It was loud. We played loud music and drowned it out as often as we could. And the grill was beyond cleaning, we bought and left aluminum foil there for the next person. Overall we would return, the private community was awesome and the house was beautiful!

Gorgeous Beach front property and home.
Beautiful accommodations with amazing views of the Ocean. Steps away from the beach made it easy to enjoy. The community pool was close, private and very nice! We had a wonderful time and the home was perfect for our family. You will not want to miss this location for your next trip. The owner was very friendly and easy to contact with questions etc.

Great Vacation During Covid
We had planned to be there in May but had to change our reservation because of the virus. Owner was very understanding and easy to work with although I sent a lot of emails during this time. The week we spent in Destin was amazing. Being directly on the beach makes for the very best experience imaginable. We all wish we were still there. The weather (which isn't part of the guarantee) was perfect and the beach setup guys couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The house is everything that we expected and the location is perfect. Destiny by the Sea is a wonderful neighborhood. The layout of the house is very nice and the rooms are spacious. Having the separate bar and ice maker was almost like having an extra kitchen. It worked very well for us. We were all great friends but could be in our own space when desired. I would definitely stay there again. We had a small emergency and the owner was most helpful. I think you could call upon him for anything that you needed and he would willingly help in any way he could. Great Trip! Hope to repeat it.

Coffee over looking the beach in the morning cannot be beat. The surf puts you to sleep at night also.
