About this property

Magnificent SanFrancisco Peak view, quiet country, minutes to downtown Flagstaff

The Country Loft has panoramic views of the San Francisco Peaks and surrounding hills. Experience fresh crisp mountain air, tall pines and nature in full regalia anytime of year.

The loft is light, bright with cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, abundant amenities and cozy furnishings for you to relax in beautiful surroundings. Located minutes from downtown Flagstaff but in a country setting at the end of the road, the loft is adjacent to forest land and situated on 2.5 acres. Walking, running, and biking trails are right at the end of the road. Wildlife abounds with deer and elk peeking through the trees, an endless array of birds, and our annual nesting doves.

The Country Loft is fully furnished, private and self-contained with its own entrance. The loft is an open space with a full size kitchen and appliances, dining area and bar seating. The bath has a tile shower, pedestal sink, cozy towels and complimentary shampoo and soaps. The living room is decorated with deep cushioned chairs, leather sofa, big screen TV, DVD, and streaming. A designated work space provides a desk and high speed internet. The sleeping space includes a King memory foam bed topped with a duvet and comforter, ample pillows and block out curtains if you need that extra rest during daylight hours. There is also a Queen sofa bed with a special foam and air mattress that can be inflated to your level of firmness and without the back pain associated with most sofa beds. We can provide up to two more single folding beds with mattresses to accommodate children or small adults. Pocket doors separate the sleeping and living room space from the kitchen and dining area if adults want to stay up later for card or board games after getting the kids to bed.

Follow the pave stone walkway through the gates to the patio common space if you would like to sit out and catch the sunset or do some star gazing. Flagstaff is a designated Dark Sky City and the low light in the country is ideal for a look up! or for your telescope. Retrieve the Adirondack chairs from under the stairway if you prefer a more private place along the east side of the Country Loft. Secure parking for two vehicles is provided on site.

I love to interact with my guests, but honor your privacy. I provide a self -serve check in and out with keyless entry so you can come and go as you please.

Feel free to text or email with any questions. I provide a manual in the loft with safety information, and also suggestions for our favorite hikes, National Monuments in the area, and of course, the Grand Canyon, all within a short drive from Flagstaff.

Other Notes:
The Arizona SnowBowl is open by November most years and skiing is fine, especially with our new lifts and ski school for kids and adults! Contact me or check online for details on rides to the mountain top. Shuttles run every 30 minutes from the bottom of the mountain and other various parking locations.

Working from home or have a family gathering in Flagstaff? Reach out if you need to book an extended stay or book accommodations for up to 12 persons on site.

We follow the CDC guidelines for cleanliness and take the upmost care to prepare for your stay. You can be assured that all bedding, pillows, towels are freshly laundered and ready for your comfort and healthy well being. We allow space or "down time" between bookings so we keep our cleaning crew, staff and guests healthy.

Enjoy your stay!

Quiet getaway just outside of Flagstaff
The Country Loft was very clean and comfortable. The linens/towels were all very nice. The neighborhood was very quiet. The king-size bed was very comfortable. Full size refrig, stove/oven. Very nice, and hostess Ruth was a great communicator.

Flagstaff stay
Ruth was very welcoming and accommodating. The Arizona breeze coming through the cottage during the evening was refreshing, and I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. Everything was extremely clean with well-done decor .

Quiet and convenient locale
Quiet location, clean and comfortable. Located just outside of Flagstaff with all that it offers. Also, puts you in a central location for other “must see” sites as it is 1 1/2 hours south of the Grand Canyon and 1 hour north of Sedona. Ruth, the owner was very nice and committed to making sure we were happy with our accommodations. Would definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

Pleasant stay-good accomadations-great hosy
The loft provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable one month stay in flagstaff. Our host, Ruth, was great and accommodated our every request. Nice large enclosed back yard patio area for enjoying the cool evenings with your favorite beverage. Starry sky above. The loft is ideal for two adults but be aware that it requires climbing stairs(it is a loft after all).

Flagstaff Retreat
A very peaceful stay. I especially enjoyed sunsets behind the San Francisco Peaks, visiting with the area bunnies and prairie dogs, the quiet, and the dark skies at night. The very comfortable furniture and bed were greatly appreciated. The fully equipped kitchen was a nice bonus. Great location on the road to the Grand Canyon East Entrance, with Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monuments on the way. There's also so much more to see and do in the area than I have room for here :)

Country Get-away
Overall, a good stay. Positives: bed, very comfortable; well stocked kitchen; great t.v.; the outdoor shared space; very private and quiet; great views. Possible Negatives: living room/bedroom are 1 room, tho its a very large room. Not good if one wishes to stay up and watch TV and one wants to go to bed. Not a problem for us, but you should know; steep access staircase - difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Country Loft was the perfect getaway in Flagstaff!
This property is in a rural area about 20 minutes from downtown Historic Flagstaff and far enough away that you can really enjoy the fresh air, cool breezes and amazing Mountain View’s. This space was perfect, had a great big living room/bedroom loft area, nice size eat in kitchen, bath, and lots of closet space. the shared patio was lovely, and the added BBQ was great too. Ruth keeps the loft very clean, fully appointed with everything you need, and overall we will definitely be back! She was a fantastic property manager as well.

Had a super fun weekend with friends in flagstaff. Great nite sleep... refreshingly cool crisp morning air and a feeling of being close to town, yet far enough away from it all to enjoy the quiet.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable!
I'll start by saying this place was spotless!!! The place was tastefully decorated, and everything was in very good condition. It was almost like being in a model home (except cozier). This apartment is separate from the main house, so you don't hear the owners, and you don't have to worry about bothering them. All of the homes in the area are on several acres, so you don't hear neighbors or traffic. The king bed was very comfortable, as were the couch and chairs in the living area. There are 2 large closets, so you don't have to live out of your suitcases. The place was stocked with everything we needed (dishes, silverware, pots and pans, soaps, paper towels, coffee pots, coffee filters, etc.). You do need to provide your own coffee/tea. The entire place is surrounded by large windows which overlook the surrounding hills, Mt. Eldon, and the San Francisco Peaks. Amazing views! This, along with the cathedral ceilings make this place very bright, open, and roomy. The place is on the northeast side of Flagstaff which makes a great starting point for hiking, exploring, or a bike ride. Very convenient to the Grand Canyon, the east side of the San Francisco Peaks, Sunset Crater, Wupatki Ruins, Walnut Canyon, and lots more. It is also fairly close to the mall if you want to catch a movie. This is the type of place where you can make yourself at home, and spend an entire week here!

A great stay for our Flagstaff trip!
The private entrance was very nice since we had a late arrival and the loft was very well furnished. We loved the cool evening breezes, comfy furniture and easy access to the town and the Grand Canyon. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Also travel to the the mountains during other seasons for cool, clear skies, stunning sunsets and a star show each night.
