We were very pleased with our stay in the Cozy Cottage. The host was reachable and prompt with replying to our inquiries. We would certainly book this property again and recommend the Cozy Cottage to others!
The house was a short drive from the south ferry and a quick walk to the beautiful nature preserve. It was a great location with a beautiful backyard for a nice fall weekend getaway. The hosts were very responsive to any questions during our stay.
All good except for some minor problems that will be discussed with the property mgr. One thing I missed was cable TV. They don’t subscribe so I missed some of the Olympics. And couldn’t watch television like CNN etc
This was our family’s first time visiting Shelter Island. It was a beautiful, quaint island with lots of local charm. We are a family of 4 and the house fit our needs. The living space was large enough for the toddlers to run around and the kitchen was well equipped. The yard was huge and the pool was refreshing after a long day at beach. We also liked that it was close to Wades beach which was great for young families. Lastly, the bikes were an huge bonus and we enjoyed pulling the kids in the attached trailer. I biked my daughter to Rams Head Inn to see the sheep and it was our favorite experience.
The only negatives were some of the appliances were not functioning (dryer, wall outlets, lights, hose, etc). It didn’t impact our stay, but the house could use an inspection.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet relaxing end of week staycation with our one year old and this place was just perfect. Nice location, great pool, walkable (or bikeable) to the beach and had a full kitchen and clean grill - everything necessary for making meals. Would love to stay again
Great little house- -as seen in pix. Good open livingroom with open kitchen and big deck. Very easy area and access to all of island. Lovely piece of property with lots of beautiful old trees for privacy and beauty.
Very nice hosts. I would go again
Very nice, clean and furnished home.
Open kitchen on living room, direct access on terrasse with bbq overlooking pool.
No vis a vis. Even walking distance from beach.
property was fine but we are avid tennis fans and were unable to view the US Open because there is no cable TV and the streaming service does not accept ESPN. I offered to pay for any upcharge to enable this and the property owner said this would not be necessary and we would able to see the US Open. Nope!
We loved our stay so much. The pool was refreshing, love the furnishings and layout and kitchen and home was well stocked. A great Shelter Island cottage. Thank you!
Soa is a wonderful host and her house makes for an amazing Shelter Island get away. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds very comfortable, the pool divine, and location close to Wades Beach and the South Ferry are wonderful. We spent several wonderful afternoons at Wades Beach and Sagg Main beach (which is less than a 30 minute ride including Ferry). We really enjoyed our stay at this house.
Loved it inside and out and great location. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the lush island and exploring the Hamptons and Greenport. Owner was very responsive.
This lovely, clean property is in a quiet neighborhood a short drive from Wade’s beach. You can bike to the Mashomack Preserve. Adult bikes are provided. Neighborhood has some nice hills if you enjoy a morning run. Sadly we were here in the fall and couldn’t enjoy the pool, but we loved hanging out on the comfy deck furniture. Note that there are two houses w the same address on the island. Ask for the intersection to get you to the right spot. Thanks for a great birthday weekend!
My family and I enjoyed two weeks at this lovely little bungalow. The house was comfortable and we felt very relaxed especially being so close to the beach. Spa is a lovely host and very responsive. Hope to return to SI again!
