The Agate Hill Historic District is in downtown Manitou Springs. We are up on the hill so the views are expansive on a on a quiet residential street. We have almost an acre of gardens. Depending on how you count, we are about 6 houses walking distance to the Post Office and downtown. We have 3 cottages on the property and can host 14 people total. Manitou is hilly, so expect steps and stairs. We are a adult oriented property, which means we welcome quiet well supervised older kids; to be honest if you have younger kids, properties that have play areas and pools are more suitable. Our property is drug and smoke free in its entirety.

Manitou Springs located in the foothills of Pikes Peak just 11 miles west of downtown Colorado Springs via US Hwy 24. Explore the many hiking/biking trails by just leaving from the cottage. In just minutes walk to downtown Manitou and find art galleries, clothing, jewelry or specialty shops, small resturants, pubs or night life or our mineral springs. Within walking distance find Spa services at the SunWater Spa, Heritage Museum, Miramont Castle, Manitou Antique Arcade, weekly summer live music, weekend festivals. With in a mile or so the Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds and Cliff Dwellings.

Cute cottage in Manitou Springs
We enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. The owner was extremely helpful in check in and helping us get settled. Very short walk to downtown and all the shops and restaurants. It is an older property but has lots of charm. I would recommend this cottage for anyone who wants to enjoy Manitou Springs.

Cozy cottage
It is an old building with modern conveniences located in a tourist town. The building is sort of duplex style with accommodations next door. Parallel parking on the street on a hill with residential reservations. We never had to search for a parking space. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is only about 3 blocks from downtown Manitou Springs. The bed was comfortable. The location is within east driving distance to many local attractions, including Pike’s Peak and Santa’s Workshop. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is less than 1/2 hour away.

Comfortable & Charming
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this authentic Victorian duplex cottage in Manitou Springs! The owner, John was friendly, and handled our check in and check out seamlessly. The accommodations were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed evenings on the spacious front porch, and the super convenient location in the historic village of Manitou Springs. We hope to visit again soon.

The cottage was enchanting and in a great location. Though it was up hill it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants in down town Manitou Springs. John was a great host.

Quaint cottage overlooking village of Manitou Springs
Honeysuckle Cottage sits nestled among the Victorian-era homes that line the cozy, narrow streets overlooking the town of Manitou Springs. The owner, John, lives next door with his playful pup. John is warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the town and its history. From the cottage, it's a short drive to Garden of the Gods and other area attractions, and an easy walk down to the village shops and restaurants - a little harder hiking back up the hill to the cottage, but relaxing on the porch at the end of the day makes the hike worthwhile! Our stay was very pleasant and, for the most part, comfortable, but there were a couple of unexpected issues for us: First, use of the kitchen was fine for simple breakfast and lunch, but cooking a larger meal would have been challenging due to limited supplies for food preparation. Second, the bathroom is only accessible by going through the second bedroom. For many guests, these would not be problematic at all, but knowing what to expect ahead of time would be helpful. Our primary concern was that, in spite of being charged a cleaning fee, the cottage was not clean. There was an overlooked used towel from a previous guest, a dirty footprint on the bathmat, the kitchen floor was grimy, and the cottage as a whole was in need of a thorough, deep cleaning. That being said, however, if the cleanliness issue was resolved, I would not hesitate to stay at there again and would recommend it to others. Honeysuckle Cottage is full of nostalgic charm, quiet and relaxing, yet convenient to a wide variety of dramatic landscapes, historic sights and exciting attractions.
