Sandpiper 120A, as seen on HGTV's "Hawaii Life": Enjoy a quiet retreat in this attractively decorated, ground floor condo in Sandpiper Village Princeville. This Kauai vacation rental has a fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals, a large tiled lanai to enjoy a cool drink amidst tropical breezes, a large king size bed with expanded bathroom and vanity area, and more. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room gives you the option to sleep two additional people. Free wifi. Your own reserved parking place.

You are close (but not too close!) to the complex swimming pool with Jacuzzi and BBQ area. Condo includes a reserved parking spot just steps from the condo entrance. The Sandpiper Village is centrally located within the Princeville resort community, and close to all of the north shore sights. Beaches, shopping, and dining are all close by. You can follow the walking path across the street to the Princeville shopping center, park, library, or head the other direction to Hideaways beach, golfing, and several additional dining options. You'll truly stay like a local here. This older apartment complex is home to many permanent residents, mainly young, and these Princeville condos provide some great amenities like pool, jacuzzi, and barbecue grills. Unit amenities include free wifi, Smart TV, full bathroom, full kitchen.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

Perfect location!

We love Princeville, and this was a great location with easy access to the pool, the walking trail and a short drive to our favorite beaches.

Great location for a short getaway

I could not have asked for better. I was extending a work trip for a few days and had not been to Kauai before. More than happy with this property for a few days stay. The amenities were beyond expectation.

Super Comfortable bed!

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, had a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. It was just the two of us, but I did notice that the couch pulled out into a bed if needed. There were plenty of towels and two snorkel and fin sets, which we used. Nothing fancy but they worked well enough. We enjoyed the lanai and the best part was the bed was incredibly comfortable!!!

Ideal for location and for people who like to cook

The apartment is spacious, lovely and well appointed. There is a full kitchen, regular size refrigerator, and two Weber gas grills at the pool for those who like to partake of the fresh fish and produce available on island. The lanai is pleasant and looks out on greenery, grass, and the pool, although the pool is hidden by a fence. The unit has designated parking, although sometimes others parked there. However, management quickly responded, and there were always other spaces available. It is important to know that this is an condo complex and so there can be noise. However, this usually ceased at designated hours. Also, the bedroom and connected bathroom had windows that opened onto the lanai next door. When I first got there, people were sometimes making noise early in the AM or after quiet hours at night. The next people there did not do this. Overall, this is nice, convenient unit for a single or a couple wanting to be in Princeville and close to Hanalei. Anini Beach, my favorite, is just a short drive as well. Also management can provide guidance and booking for local activities.

Great stay for our friends wedding

Great area. Great condo. Only issue we found was the lighting at night to know where you are going. We got in after dark and went to a few buildings to find our way. Thinking a map of the condo complex should be included with your info. Thanks for the great stay!

Everything we wanted

We were looking for a quiet getaway from Midwest cold and were very satisfied. The unit has a handsomely landscaped lanai providing some privacy and is very close to the pool. With the window vents open and the fans on the climate was always comfortable. I cooked at least once a day and the kitchen appliances and cookware was fine for my needs. The bed was very comfortable and we had no challenges sleeping. Princeville center was about a 20 minute walk away and like 5 for driving. Hanalei is less than 10 minutes away for great evening dining or a day at the beach. Possibly the prettiest beach I've ever seen and never crowded. Beach chairs and an umbrella are in the closets. We borrowed the cooler as well to have nice picnics at beach and elsewhere on our sightseeing adventures. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and the availability of a French press and great Hawaiian coffee made every morning on the lanai a treat. Overall the experience was everything we wanted and look forward to a return.

Great place, no AC

We stayed here for ten days. Wonderful trip. We rented e-bikes from paradise bikes and just stayed local (Princeville, Hanalei, Hanea SP). Hit the pool and hot tub every day. Lots of kids, which I don’t mind. We were blessed with great weather. The condo is fan cooled. Would have been uncomfortable if it had been any hotter, but we were okay in a cool July.

The place was as described and worked well for our stay. It can be a bit loud at times due to the density of units. The bed is rather worn and continued to "taco" through the week.

It looked just like the pictures..had just the basics, which was fine for me.The pool and hot tub were great ! We were there to hike, so at the end of the day, the hot tub was great for my legs and feet !! Swimming pool was very nice. Located close to store's in Princeville, which was convenient.

Nice Place

Family friendly. The place was very clean. The unit is downstairs and you could here adults walking around upstairs. However, the respect for quiet time at night was very good. The living room furniture is a little on the older side and saggy. But overall a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful and well equipped

The property grounds are amazingly beautiful and well kept. The condo itself had everything you might need on a vacation. It felt like a home away from home after long days of sight seeing, hiking, swimming... It is far from all the main island attractions. If you stay here, be prepared to make at least a 45 minute drive to any attractions beyond Hanalei Bay.

Everything Great, Lame Bed

Loved the place. Has everything you need and the location was amazing. I read that the bed was fixed but it sags big time in the middle and felt like I was sleeping on a slant. I looked under the bed and there was literally a book supporting, or trying to support the middle, metal frame. Just needs a new frame and it would be 5 stars. Had a great time and loved the place otherwise!

Very pretty but not that good

The location of the house was very beautiful I would often just sit outside and in awe but with that being said The air conditioning was not working there so it was very hot and there were only fans, The screen door does not work that well and there’s not a key, And it’s not that clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for a little less that 3 months.It was one of the cheaper places we found! It did suite our purpose, but there are some things that could have been better- needs new carpet/flooring- whats there now is badly stained.Yes, there is a nice new mattress, but the box springs are ancient and causing the mattress to collapse in the middle already. The kitchen is usable, but the pots/pans are a bit on flimsy side- we ended up buying a few things to make cooking there easier.Needs a paint job, and the couch either needs legs- or replacing.The grounds were awesome though- nice pool.The upstairs nieghbor was a bit heavy footed, but we got used to it after a bit. The housekeeping staff was awesome, as was the management staff- communication was spot on.The roku tv was useless to us, but the internet worked great.Despite the drawbacks, we’d probably stay here again.
