About this property

Alii Kai 5301 occupies a prime top floor corner because you enter the building at the second floor level, you've got just 13 steps to climb to reach your door! Inside this updated Princeville condo you'll find elegant appointments and comfortable tropical furniture. The kitchen has been beautifully upgraded - plenty of countertop and island space if you want to stay in and cook. Washer and dryer are right in the condo. There's a remodeled and spacious master bathroom to make you feel pampered and special. You won't mind an occasional rainy day at this north shore Kauai condo. It's a pleasure to stay in and relax, enjoy the view - even watch for whales during the winter months - and savor the peace and privacy of this perfect top floor corner location. All of our Kauai vacation rentals at Alii Kai are 1200 square feet with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a private lanai.

In addition to the unobstructed ocean views from the living room and both bedrooms, you've also got great mountain views and can even see Bali Hai. Lie in bed and watch the waves roll in or fall asleep to the sounds of the surf at night - - yes, you can admire the view without even getting out of bed! The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest bedroom has a queen bed. Cable TV, telephone, and free wifi are provided. Complex includes a swimming pool. There is a shared gas barbecue grill which our guests are welcome to use. Cook up your catch of the day or throw on some fresh Kauai beef burgers.

You'll be delighted with our Alii Kai resort condo's convenient location. It's under two miles to shopping and dining at the Princeville Shopping Center. You'll find casual dining at Hideaways Pizza Pub and oceanfront fine dining at the Princeville St Regis just over a mile away. The scenic town of Hanalei and the great beach at Hanalei Bay are 10 minutes away, Anini beach 10 minutes away, and other attractions like botanical gardens, horseback riding, and ziplining are also nearby.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.

Awesome stay!

The property and unit were great! We enjoyed the beautiful views from all of the rooms, especially the primary bedroom! The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking many of our meals there. It was also nice to enjoy the pool in the afternoon after our daily hikes/ trips to the beach. Appreciated the convenience of using the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful Views and Peaceful

This was our first stop on Kauai, and we really enjoyed the panoramic views. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood, and relaxing on the deck while viewing the beautiful ocean. There is a nice breeze which helps keep things cool inside. We drove into Hanalei to enjoy the beach and for some meals. The local market had plenty of supplies and fresh food, too.

Nice place with great ocean views!

Lovely, comfortable, quiet condo with an unsurpassable view! This was our third stay at Ali’i Kai and this is my favorite unit yet. So close to shopping, walking paths, and my favorite beach (Anini), yet very private and peaceful. Mahalo for a wonderful stay.

Amazing location in Princeville

This was an amazing property that was well maintained. The wrap around balcony has beautiful views of the ocean and the Nā Pali mountains. The property management company was very attentive. I highly recommend this property.

The Resort is beautiful with an amazing ocean view. Access to beach is difficult and slippery, but didn’t mind taking a short trip to other beaches. The condo is nice with upgrades in master bathroom. Plenty of extra linens, towels and beach towels, beach chairs, ice chest, …..

Kauai Condo

The view was amazing. The furniture especially the livingroom needs updating. Sectional worn and saggy. The bedroom mattresses uncomfortable. Kitchen well equipped but microwave too high of location for short people to reach. Condo was very clean and well stocked with towels etc. Anti slip safety shower tape needs to be put in showers. Master bedroom sun shade on window was broken. For those with mobility issues too many stairs to reach condo. Overall beautiful view...good location...well stocked....clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, everything was great but I just wanted to leave one piece of feedback. The master bedroom is full of bugs — there are dead bugs all over the lamps, bedside tables, and window sill. There were also everywhere on the balcony. Please clean (and perhaps spray) before the next guest arrives.

Amazing views but needs improvement

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved our stay at Alii Kai but we felt like the photos of the views were misleading. The unit living room faces the next building not the ocean. Once on the balcony the views of the ocean are incredible. The master bedroom also has an unobstructed view of the ocean. I suggest looking at a map of Alii Kai before booking as the other units and other buildings have better views. The kitchen and living room furniture are quite outdated and not comfortable.The bed was very comfortable. The master bath has been renovated and is nice but the rest of the place could be a lot nicer for the $. The toilets tend to run so you have to shake the handles. The manager informed us the unit did not have beach supplies or a cooler but they could be rented nearby. When we arrived we found ALOT of great beach supplies, snorkles, beach chairs etc and 2 coolers in the closets. Seems like previous guests left these behind which is great and the management should be aware of what the unit contains.The unit is good but could be great.

Beautiful and nice but

This is a beautiful property. We were there for a week with no problems but the owners need to think about an AC unit of some sort or some large fans. They also might want to replace some appliances. Once we figured out the air cooling situation it was a wonderful stay.

Wonderful vacation condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely enjoyed everything about this condo! Had never stayed up on the north shore before but this is the best. Condo was perfect for two couples with each having their own bathroom. So quiet at night, unlike some of the larger resorts. Heard only the ocean waves. A/C not missed at all because we preferred the windows opens and fans running. Great kitchen as we cooked all our meals. This is a quiet location and yet many places to walk and we enjoyed the pool as well. 10-15 min drive to Hanalei Beach which has the best beach we've found on Kauai. One of the absolutely best part of staying here was the property management company. I called several times with questions before hand and they were always immediately and pleasantly answered. Then they called us several times, confirming our arrival, checking if we were ok and to tell us of road closures. My sister was in a nearby location and knew of none of the things we were told. She waited on hold consistently to get answers to her questions and we had no problems at all receiving ours. We are already talking about when we can return. This condo is comfortable and very well equipped with all we needed to relax and take day trips from there. Washer/dryer, beach equipment were a plus too. BBQ close by too. Thanks for a great place!
