Lovely lake!
The property worked well for our group of 8 adults. The lake is shallow and clear with a sandy bottom. We enjoyed the fire pit as a great way to wrap up each day. The spiral staircase that takes you to the second floor is something to be aware of but it worked ok for us. The yard had room for games and socializing. The parking worked out great too. It is on a busy road on the front side but that was not a problem for us. I did wish there were lamps on the nightstands in the bedrooms and maybe a fan available in the bedroom on the main floor in the first unit since the AC is out in the living room, but these are minor concerns when compared to the fun we had and great lake experience. It's nice to be close to Pelican Rapids for food/groceries/firewood/etc and beautiful Maplewood State Park for scenic hiking. Thanks for a good trip!

Busy road, rooms are not connected
The house is right off a very busy road, I would be nervous about bringing my pet to such a busy road. Also, this is essentially two houses or units. They are not connected internally. You have to go outside to access the part of the house with the two bathrooms. It is essentially a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house and a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house next door to it.

I had higher expectations
I want to preface this with the fact that we enjoyed our stay overall. The water was great, the flat yard space was perfect for games and entertaining, and the sleeping arrangements worked for our group. That being said, there were several items that we did not appreciate and should be addressed. The floors were filthy, heat was still on, water not hooked up to the fridge, and the AC quit 4 days in and it took until the following day to be fixed. When I brought these up to the management, I was not answered. For the price, I would have expected more cleanliness and preparedness overall.

Nice place to stay
Very clean and beautiful view of the lake. Could not get the Gas fireplace or the pelt stove to work, maybe leave some instructions. The ice maker in the frig also did not work. Would have been nice to have some matches or lighter to start the grill and outside fire ring. The upstairs bedrooms are hard to get to because of the spirel staircase.

Nice place- would recommend
We had a great time at this property! Lake Lida is so clean and clear!! The roads outside the property are close to the house and busy, so we had to make sure the littles stayed on the lake side. The two story part of the house has one bedroom and one bathroom on the main level. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a bathroom as well. Nice sized rooms upstairs. The kitchen is nice and had what we needed. The air conditioning (window units) had a hard time keeping the place cool when it was hot. The second part of the house has two bedrooms- one with full bed and one with two twin beds- and two bathrooms. There was not a queen bed as pictured, nor all the nice furniture. It was disappointing at first, but it met our needs for the week. We really enjoyed the outdoor space for games and hanging out. The grill provided is charcoal.

Overall it was satisfactory but didn’t totally live up to the hype. The add on unit, while attache.
The total structure was two separate units joined together but you had to go outside to get from one to the other. Dryer didn’t work. Window air conditioning wasn’t the best.

Lakefront Fun
We spent most of the week on the lake, on the beach and fire pit area. Great area for outdoor activities. Shallow and sandy, perfect for small children. Nice to have a couple of kayak's to paddle around in. Fishing was great and we all had a blast! With our large group the two kitchens worked out nice. Bedrooms are nice size with rustic style furniture in the main, larger side of the rental and smaller rooms in the smaller portion of the rental. One bedroom has the utilities which can get loud (might be the water pump since it kicks in on occasion) and interrupt sleep if you are a light sleeper.

Property Misrepresented.
This rental was not like the photos, which Is one reason why we rented it. You would never know the smaller unit was the same place. Very disappointing. There is also a spiral stair case that is hazardous for small children. The bedding was dirty, the towels were old and dirty. Definitely could use a more through cleaning. Property manager was attentive and the beach is nice for small kids. The cabin is on a busy road and it was loud at times. Over priced for how run down everything is.

Family get together
Right on the lake, beautiful view, though not a sunset view. Nice mixture of sun and shade. Lake has a soft sand bottom, though not a sand beach as an easterner I was expecting an actual beach. That said, the lawn is lovely. We had fun with the kayaks. Kitchen is well equipped, plenty of towels, new appliances. Has a washer and dryer which was a very nice surprise. It would be nice to have a few lamps as alternative to overhead lighting. TV had Netfilix, about a 24" screen. One bathroom has a tub which was nice to bathe our granddaughter. It has two charcoal grills and a firepit. Two large picnic tables on a cement patio. One picnic table could use a coat of paint so a plastic tablecloth would be helpful. It is situated right on the road so in one apartment there were no windows facing the road and I never noticed any road noise however the other apartment had windows on the road and occasional traffic can be heard . So if you are sensitive to noise bring some white noise or a sound machine/ music. Neighbors only one one side. Downtown Pelican Rapids has everything you need, a supermarket, hardware store, liquor store, flower shop, Dollar Store, gas station, a couple of cute shops. We went MaplewoodState Park which is a beautiful place to hike and swim. We also went to Itasca State Park.and crossed the headwaters of the Mississippi which has been on our Bucket List. All in all we really enjoyed and hope to return.

Perfect for families!
We had a great vacation on Lake Lida! The shallow and sandy bottom for the kids to swim was great! Plenty of room in the cabin to accommodate our large group. 2 kitchens and fridges were definitely helpful. Darin was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We are definitely planning on returning next year! Mark B.

Great location with plenty of space for family lakeside fun
We had a great stay on Lake Lida utilizing this lake property. The sandy & shallow swimming area was great for little kids. They enjoyed catching fish from the dock & using the kayaks. We also enjoyed the 2 kitchens with the ability to utilize both fridges for extra space. In the evenings we enjoyed grilling, bonfire/smores & playing bean bag toss together. Overall the unit was clean & had everything we needed for our stay.

Straight forward Lake house that get the job done. Also, can accommodate 12 people comfortably.
This house was a great place to have smaller children. The lake is shallow here and they could play in water all the way to the end of the dock (it's a long dock) without concern. Bottom is soft sand. They also could fish off the end of the dock with great success. Fishing on Lake Lida was fantastic for the men and boat ramp is just down the street (maybe 1/4 mile). My son and I had a good time paddling around in the kayaks that are provided with the house.
