PLEASE NOTE: We have installed security cameras for each exterior door. A neighbor has had their house vandalized 3 times within 2 months and also does not live there full time; we cannot afford to not be this concerned and as safe as possible.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
- We are not participating in “Instant Book”; too many scams.
- VRBO collects all taxes for Virginia and Loudoun County for a total of 14%.

This log house, "Windridge", was completed in 2005 and when you first walk in, it still smells like the pine wood it was made from. It is located on 16.6 peaceful, wooded acres and overlooks over 800 acres of additional farm land with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance; the property does border both Hamilton and Leesburg for convenience, each about 5 minutes away.

'Windridge' is furnished with family antiques and artwork but has all the modern conveniences for your complete comfort as well. It has a combined living/dining/kitchen area with a huge fireplace. Off this central area is a separate den and screen porch which both have closing doors for privacy. The master bedroom has a king bed and it's own private bath on the first floor; with all of it's windows it feels like you're in a tree house! There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with 2 twins and the other with a queen bed.

This house is located in the country, but Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD are a reasonable day trip from here. Within a shorter drive is the Leesburg Corner Outlet with great, popular discount stores, many historical buildings, Civil War attractions, many, many wineries and breweries as well as lovely parks, all also very popular year round.

Spacious Retreat

We absolutely loved our time at Windridge! It's close to town, but set among acres of trees. It was the perfect spot for us to relax.

Amazing in every way

The cabin was beautiful ,very clean.Beds were extremely comfortable. Three separate thermostats which allowed everyone to be comfortable. Our host answered all our questions ,including recommendations for restaurants an places of interest to visit.Any time I had a question,she responded within an hour or less. A very private setting with woods on all sides , including a beautiful trail almost a mile long that winds thru the woods around the house. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch with our morning coffee . I highly recommend staying at this cabin. Great experience.Kathy,Thank You so much for making this a great week

Christmas in July

We came into town to visit family and were fortunate enough to avoid any hotels by stating at this lovely home. The listing photos dont do it justice what its like to wake up here on a beautiful morning! We will be absolutley trying to book here again next year when we visit again. The property is lovely, our host was communicative and just the nicest person! We felt melancholy leaving, which means we were staying at the right place :)

Amazing Retreat

We absolutely loved the home and the property. It was so incredibly peaceful, and calming (surrounded by farmland, wineries, and woods) but close enough to the city to get Instacart delivered if you wanted to. Kaki was an amazing host and checked in to make sure everything was going ok. She gave us suggestions for day trips, and there was a full basket provided with guides on the area. The home was very well stocked, is lovingly taken care of with lots of personal touches, and cooking in the kitchen was a lot of fun. We can’t wait to go back!

Comfortable home in lovely setting

Windridge is a lovely, comfortable property nestled in the woods. It is quiet with lots of nature surrounding it. But, it is also located close to many area attractions. We enjoyed the Hamilton Community park. It was close to both Leesburg and Purcellville where we had wedding events to attend. Overall a lovely property and Kaki was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay.

Serene Setting with Great Accessibility

Lovely Cabin

Wonderful relaxing back to nature weekend. Convenient to vineyards and historic Leesburg. Although we did not access the internet, our cells (verizon) had good reception. Our weekend was very enjoyable. Really enjoyed sitting on the porches with wine in hand and watching wildlife -- there were several groups of deer that visited -- including a group of three large bucks.

Ideal

My wife, I, our son and his two daughters (2 & 5) spent the week at Windridge. The property is beautiful and beyond well equipped. We lacked nothing. Kaki Pearson manages the home expertly and communicated well. We experienced nature, sighting two does and a fawn, 3 huge gobblers, and two other 3-6 assorted turkeys over the 7 days we were there. The house is near Leesburg and everything needed is inside of 20 minutes. The property is in the foothills and the views coming too and leaving are awesome. The house is perfectly private, situated about 150 yards off the road in a hardwood glade. The porches were perfect for morning coffee, or for the girls playtime. We hope Kaki will rent to us again!

Quaint Home

Lovely home and setting

Our family traveled to this area and we were pleasantly surprised by this home. The pictures do not do justice to how clean, spacious, and comfortable Windridge is! The screen porch was a favorite place to congregate. Though it is a secluded setting, it is also a convenient location and short commute to the many nearby places to see in Northern VA.

Great house, great location

This property was terrific. It surpassed our expectations. Everything was spotless and the house is very well equipped. We were 5 adults traveling to a wedding in Leesburg. We were close to several towns and enjoyed coming back to our secluded house in Hamilton.

Quiet Location

Our family wanted to visit local historic sites during the April school vacation. I found Winbridge after reviewing several other houses in the region. The house is in a secluded yet only minutes to town location. The house is spacious, clean and the owner is very accommodating. Whether you want to make day trips from the home or stay and enjoy the rural setting, you will not be disappointed. Kaki, thanks for having us and we will return again. Matt

Great Getaway

I was in Leesburg for a school Principal's conference and my colleagues and I found Windridge to be exactly as advertised and more. We really enjoyed being off the beaten path. The property is very quiet and spacious with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the Va countryside. The drive to and from the property was tranquil and convenient. Daily walks/runs were thoroughly enjoyed and followed by some downtime on the wonderful porch. We all especially enjoyed the conveniences of the kitchen, making a full breakfast everyday before heading off to work was a real treat!

Hamilton Charm

Our family was just looking for a nice house to spend a couple of nights with our son who is through hiking the Appalachian Trail. Windridge was more than perfect. Well equipped kitchen that enabled us to cook up some great meals. Fabulous porch where we ate our meals and listened to tunes looking out over the woods. Off the beaten path

To call :Windridge" a log cabin is to call pate "meatloaf". It may look like a log cabin outside, but inside, it is furnished with charm & sophistication. Every bedroom has a bath nearby & the master suite is huge, with a marvelous shower. You'll feel at home in the living room or full dining room. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. There are porches all around the outside to enjoy. The limited WIFI should only be a hindrance to those who are surgically attached to their electronics. There is much to see in the area: wineries, farm breweries, good restaurants, historic Oatlands Plantation,charming towns like Leesburg & Middleburg, Leesburg outlets & the beautiful Loudoun hunt country. We have stayed here at least 3 times & intend to return. If you visit in the fall, you may see deer & wild turkeys in your front yard, eating ripe paw-paws.

great luxury home base for vineyards

highly recommend, would stay again, excellent communication from owner. Our group of 5 adults stayed for a long weekend and made wind ridge our home base for wine country 1/2 marathon. We all had plenty of room, the well appointed kitchen was great for meal prep; location made the trip in and out of DC easy. Wegmans is nearby and a great supermarket for provisions. The house is better than the pictures can relate, very relaxing secluded woodland setting.

Home Away From Home

My Mom, Aunt and two cousins and I had the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful home during our annual trip!!! We all slept comfortably and enjoyed the screened in porch each evening!!! STUNNING HOME

Our family cannot say enough nice things about this beautiful home and lovely owners . The home was far above our expectations . We can't wait to stay again . Awesome House

My family stayed at Windridge for a wedding in the area. We all had an amazing time at the house from our toddler to grandma there was something for everyone. The pictures don't do the house justice. The Kitchen was incredibly well equipped and the entire house was really clean and inviting. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, you can't go wrong with this house
