Just what the doctor ordered
If you need an ocean getaway to soothe your soul then this is the place to stay. Unit was spacious, uncluttered and clean. I loved the big window in the bedroom that made the view visible from the moment we woke up. There is always something to see in the Juan da Fuca straight so it was difficult to turn away and read my books. Hiking trails are everywhere and the drive to Port Renfrew is a great day trip. There are so many things to see on the way and great hiking everywhere. No restaurants in the area but that didn’t bother us as we preferred the remote location and privacy and we ate in a few restaurants during our day trips. You just need to be prepared with your own groceries. One day we returned to find our unit swarmed by flies, despite leaving the doors and windows closed…so that was disturbing. We reported it to the office staff who did not offer to check it out and instead offered us raid. We didn’t want to spray chemicals. We found a pleasant young man on the grounds who we believe to have been a member of the housekeeping team, and requested his help. He came immediately and did everything he could to help us. I don’t know his name but thank you! Our unit did not have a blow dryer so bring your own. Binoculars are also a must! Spa shaped bathtub was most uncomfortable. Overall we appreciated our stay and would recommend this location.
