Our cabin was pretty easy to find. Location was close to town and toward many hiking areas. Quiet even though it's not too far off the road. It was a cute little place. Nothing fancy, just right.
We had a great experience with the big bear cabin#1. The owner was very friendly and accommodating with our needs. I highly recommend using this cabin, I know I will again!
Our family had a great vacation together at this cabin. We enjoyed how close to town and hiking trails it was, while also having privacy and a beautiful view. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had, and the cabin was well stocked. Would stay here again!

Good but needs some work.
Cabin location was very convenient to Jasper, Harrison and Buffalo River activities. Cabin was very clean. Would have been a very good stay but for a few important details. (1) Upstairs and downstairs queen bedrooms and downstairs twin were all very comfortable. Downstairs "permanently pulled out" sleeper sofa was in terrible shape and should not have been listed as sleeping accommodation. Sagged so badly in middle that it was impossible to sleep on. Held open with concrete block. This needs to be replace with a queen bed and maybe a love seat in the downstairs area to be suitable. Upstairs living room sleeper was also in rather poor condition and was covered in food crumbs when opened. Upstairs toilet needs some work. Doesn't flush well and leaked into downstairs bath. Jacuzzi pullout shower head could use a wall bracket. Kitchen, while adequate, had a microwave but not one single microwavable cooking container. Nearly empty roll of paper towel in holder but no backup supplies to be found. Most of the doors either won't stay shut or won't stay open. No door on downstairs bathroom... just a curtain. To be honest, I've stayed in many cabins that were in worse condition, but this one has so much potential that it would be a shame not to put in these simple upgrades. As is, it's a good 5 person rental but it could be a very good 9 person with a little investment and care.
The owner was very helpful and quick to respond with directions and information about my stay. The cabin was very clean and was located close to the trailheads that I planned to hike.
We loved staying there. Lots of room. Very clean. Great place to stay!
It was a lot bigger than I thought. I was glad to see that there was two bathrooms. One on each floor. Enough space for everyone to have their own space. Loved the woods around the house. It gave it a homey feeling. The kitchen had everything you need to make a meal.
Celebrated a birthday here and floated the river! The property is gorgeous!!

Big Bear Cabin
The cabin is in a great location. The landscaping was overgrown with weeds. The burn pit was weedy and looked terrible. There was some kind of ivy type weed growing all over the view porch. The interior needs to be cleaned professionally as the ceiling fans were covered in dust. Light bulbs were out. It needs some updated living room furniture. This could be a great cabin but it’s in desperate need of some TLC. I was very thankful to have it for the weekend and we had a very nice time. Thank you for the reservation.

Good
Fit the needs of our family. Cabin was an excellent base from which to launch our several adventures
We had a great time hiking the trails around Jasper and finding waterfalls too! Big Bear cabin was conveniently located to where we were going and the cabin served our purpose nicely! The upstairs bedroom was much nicer than the downstairs area but overall the cabin had everything we needed!
We enjoyed our stay cabin was great and the owner was extremely helpful. Will definitely be back in the spring for hiking, biking and kayaking.
Cabin comfortable and had everything we needed.
Everything was great!
The cabin was very spacious and the views were beautiful! You can watch the sunrise each morning 🌄
There are two full beds and a twin downstairs. One bed is within its own bedroom and the pull out sofa (needs new mattress) and twin are in the open downstairs room.
Upstairs bathroom has no shower but the downstairs bath has one.
A beautiful true cabin in the mountains. Would book again!
Host was very accommodating and helpful!
This was a great location for Fall hikes and fun. Cabin was set up well, clean and had an amazing view of the sunrise. Owner was responsive and informative. A++
Location is great. Cabin itself (wood) is great. Nice views from the back deck. The hostess was sweet. There were random decor items and trinkets all over the cabin. It just made it feel less clean and put together. Sofas definitely need to be updated.
We were beyond pleased renting this beautiful cabin. For the past 30 years my best friend and I take a fall foliage trip and this was one of the nicest places we have stayed on our girlfriend get always. We were close enough to town to get gas/groceries in the quaint town of Jasper, but the private drive and beautiful trees provided the perfect amount of privacy. If you prefer a “camp ground” or condo setting with lots of people in close proximity, this cabin is not for you. We were delighted to find you could not see another cabin from this one, nor could you hear other people’s conversations :) Relaxing in the comfortable rocking chairs on the upper deck and being able to gaze at the view of the distant mountains and the changing colors of dawn and sunset provided the perfect peace and calm we were looking for after a very stressful 2020. The cabin is very clean and we were delighted to find we were provided firewood for a fire on the crisp fall evenings. We also used the fire pit and grilled some yummy food, all without having to share the area with anyone since it is so private. The owner is very responsive and lives close if needed. If you have never experienced the incredibly beautiful Ozark region, this is a great place to stay and discover what you have been missing!
I don’t ever write reviews. This was such an easy going property to rent for the weekend. The owner was always happy to help and in constant contact whenever needed. Will stay again. Highly recommended. Great views from cabin 1
This cabin was perfect. Very clean. Was able to contact the owner at any time needed. I would highly recommend staying here. The price is very reasonable for everything you have there. Plus you are close to Jasper wish has a grocery store and restaurants.

I couldn't have been happier with this stay. I didn't know anything about the area before I came, so I feel like I really got lucky. It was perfectly located for hiking trails and canoeing (although I just hiked). Right now (after Labor Day) there was hardly any one else around on the trails. The house was much bigger than I needed but I enjoyed it immensely. Very comfortable and restful.
