Your own calm & cozy guest house in quiet Mount Baker. Private ground-floor apartment with one bedroom , living room with sleeper sofa, large cook's kitchen with eating bar and private bath. Everything is provided except your personal items. Kitchen includes keurig coffee maker and hot water dispenser. Large flat screen TV has Cable and Netflicks plus a DVD and CD player. Wi-fi included. Bedroom features queen size luxe mattress and bedding plus large closet and lots of drawer space. Washer & dryer in unit. Central air and heating included. Bath has walk-in shower. Small patio with bistro table and private entrance.
Great neighborhood for walking, running and biking. Walk to Lake Washington, Colman Park, Jimi Hendrix Museum and park, the I-90 tunnel and bridge and lots more. Two blocks to bus lines. Light rail 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk; 20 minutes to airport and all around Seattle. 3 blocks to restaurants and coffee bar. Ten minute drive to Columbia City, Capitol Hill and International District and 15 minutes to downtown. Hang out in Bradner Park right around the corner, which features great views, lots of pea patch gardens and free concerts from time to time. You won't believe you're right in the middle of the city in peaceful and neighborly Mount Baker.
We live upstairs with our two cats and are available to help with anything you need.

Seattle Fun

This place was great and totally as advertised. The neighborhood was beautiful and walkable if you don't mind a few hills. Close to the train or a short Uber/Lyft to downtown if you prefer. The kitchen was very well stocked and the bed was super comfortable. Alex was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!!

Quiet Seattle Spot

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this just right apartment sized place. It is in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to downtown and nearby restaurants aplenty. There is even a nice trail down to Lake Washington nearby.

Wonderful Visit at the Mt. Baker Guest House

My 93-year-old aunt said it was an extremely well-stocked kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Everything is clean and orderly. She loved the book selection. She liked the guest house enough that she thought when she came back to Seattle again from Baltimore, she would stay there. Thank you Alex and Harry!!

Lovely residence

Good fortune to find such a lovely, comfortable place to stay while my husband was inpatient at a Seattle medical center. The interior is very well done and was just perfect for me. Felt safe. Hosts were available and very kind. I'll remember this site for future stays in Seattle.

Mt. Baker Neighborhood Gem

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Alex and Harry are excellent hosts providing us with great recommendations for restaurants and places to go. The place itself is clean, well appointed and quiet. A nice get away - cozy and charming!

Excellent!

Our hosts were super friendly and accommodating. It was incredibly cozy and located in a wonderful neighborhood. My husband and i stayed in Seattle for the Mariners/ Astros baseball series. We used Lyft for transportation and found it to be incredibly fast and easy! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. My husband and I give this 5 star recommendation!

Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the guest house. It's actually a portion of the house converted into a morher-in-law suite with everything needed for a comfortable stay. All the essentials were included, which was super great! The place is small but roomy enough for two people. The location is great, and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood.

Blue Jays in Seattle

We came down for the Mariners games and a 5 night stay. The place was awesome. Super clean and had all the amenities of home. Harry and Alex were awesome hosts and met us when we arrived. They had lots of great tips for transit, restaurants, and parks for the kids. We drove to the Mt. Baker light rail and took the link to the stadium and for sight seeing in the city. The kids loved Colman Beach for swimming on our down time. Thanks for the great experience of Seattle Alex and Harry. Definitely recommend this place!

Comfortable, Convenient and Quiet in Seattle

My husband and I enjoyed staying at this property. Parking a large vehicle was very easy. We had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is quiet at night so we slept well. The place is only about a 10-15 minute drive from the downtown area. The owners were very friendly and offered great suggestions for restaurants. Thank you for a homey place to stay!

Garden Oasis

Harry and Alex’s property is a gem. We felt at home in their cozy one bedroom. It was spotless and had everything we needed. The exterior is as welcoming. We checked out their local hotspot recommendations and were pleasantly surprised. Parking was steps from the door. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful.

Absolutely Amazing!

I was in town for an Anthropology conference. I found Alex and Harry's listing and immediately knew this was the place I needed to be. This is a gorgeous property--a true home-away-from-home! Where do I begin? When you arrive you will be greeted by beautiful landscaping with inviting features to enjoy your cuppa or coffee and scone al fresco. Once inside you will be captivated by design features that will welcome you in from a long day. Their home was immaculate, stocked with everything you need to prepare an intimate dinner for one or more, and items (books, games, music, movies, and more) to keep you entertained when you're not exploring the city. You'll enjoy sleeping in the comfortable bed with the extra pillows. Yaay for extra pillows!! Alex and Harry are the perfect hostess and host....they're attentive, responsive, and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a delight. *Added Bonus* Ask about their wonderful art, the impressive community garden, and recommendations for specialty markets and favorite restaurants. You won't be disappointed. When I return to Seattle, I'm definitely staying at their property if it is available!

Great location and lodging

Stayed the night for a Seahawks game and it was perfect. Close to the stadium and didn’t have to worry about parking at the event. The lodging was very clean and a super comfortable bed and pull out couch. Thank you for hosting my friend and I. Will definitely book with you again for another event.

Super comfortable home away from home for my extended stay.

This property looks exactly like the pictures, and it functions as well as it's described. It's cozy, comfortable and clean. Add to that, Alex and Harry are so friendly and helpful and were always available if I needed anything. The area is quite hilly, so walking to the bus or to a grocery store was a challenge for me, but once I had the use of a car, it was convenient to get where I needed to go. I stayed for about six weeks to be near my son and daughter-in-law and their new baby, and when I'm back in Seattle, I hope this Mount Baker apartment will be available again. It's a gem!

Long time Seattle residents, Alexandra owns a wonderful boutique downtown Seattle and Harry has just retired from Swedish Hospital where he was an electrophysiologist specialist. We're friendly, easy going and tolerant of all lifestyles and religions. We have two big cats, three grown kids who live elsewhere and lots of wonderful friends. We're excited about hosting our guest home to those who want a short vacation or a cozy place to make your home for a longer stay.

Why they chose this property

While we want to be right in the middle of the city and close to everything, we also like the relaxed and friendly neighborhood of Mount Baker. Close to parks, Lake Washington, walking and biking trails, but also close to downtown, Capitol Hill, The International District, Columbia City, Soho, Georgetown, and stadiums. Our house features a wonderful private guest house that we hope will be a cozy retreat for you.
