This lovely cottage has a partial river view, new living room furniture, wood flooring, a deck, and screened porch. There is free WiFi for your convenience. The cottage is 400 yards from the community pool, bathhouse, and crabbing dock and 200 yards from the beach. There is an open-air outdoor shower under the home (cold water only) and parking for three cars.

This non-smoking vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV, a DVD player, a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service, and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

Great location!

We love Kiawah. We come here several times a year. This was our first time staying at this cottage. The location is amazing. The view of the river was great. Some of the interior was outdated. Our family likes to watch basketball or movies at night after a long day at the beach. I am personally willing to donate a new tv to this place if the owners are interested. Everything else about the place was great. I think the management company could help by providing a little more supplies. We only had one thing of dish soap there when we arrived. Just different than the other Inlet Cove cottage we stayed at during the same trip. But overall it was, as always, a great stay in Kiawah!

A great vacation with my daughter and grandkids

The house was beautiful and well equipped with everything needed to cook a great meal. We enjoyed evenings on the screened porch and watching the little boats passing by. The beach was amazing and my grandkids loved the ability to walk to the store and to the pond to see the alligators. The area is lush, quiet and tropical. I was very happy with our stay!

Inlet Cove is located close to the beach, and the community pool/dock is a wonderful plus. Access to Freshfields Village is very convenient.

An uncared for home

I don't mind a dated house, but this home needs many repairs and replacements before I can advise my friends to rent it. I've detailed the problems with Vacasa and hope that the owners will take my advice. One note to renters, the TV's are both elderly, 2008 and 2011, and not HD compatible. Therefore the picture quality is poor and you can't log into Netflix or other platforms you may want to use. The location is nice and I enjoyed watching the tides change in the "lagoon" behind the home. It's an easy walk to the beach as well.

Lovely location, lots of potential, poorly kept up

We loved the location, the access to a pool and the beautiful sitting area by the dock, the public beach access was busier than we were used to on East beach, but it was still great. The interior of the rental itself was pretty well loved. I was glad there were few breakables, but the dresser drawers in the twin room were mostly broken, a couple furniture pieces in the photos were missing, and the fridge was no longer one with a filter water spout on the front. The TV worked, but poorly. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen has the very basics, though the multipurpose spray only had a few squirts left. Over all, if you’re looking for a budget experience at Kiawah, this fits the bill. No frills, but great location for the Kiawah experience.

Amazing location, underwhelming condo

I was dismayed by the unsupportive mattress in the primary bedroom, the coffee pot broke on day two (they replaced it), and some deferred maintenance. Patio tablecloth was really dirty. The redeeming quality was ease of access to the beach!! We spent limited time in the condo. Location was amazing.

The unit’s proximity to the beach is its best feature. There’s rust on AC vents, stains on the refrigerator, ants in the kitchen and dirty dishes in the cabinets. Seems it hasn’t been updated in 20 years and it shows. Pictures showing the condition of the property were sent to the property manager and they apologized, but took no action. I’ll try and avoid this property manager in any future rentals.

While the property and location were as advertised, the property condition was barely average. Very few kitchen items, and the ones there were sub-par. One bed did not have the required sheets. The TVs were old and unable to connect to the Internet, and no cables were provided to connect them to laptops. The community pool, advertised as being available, was under repair, and the property manager made no accommodations to use another pool.

Great location but the home is rough around the edges

The location of the house is great. Close to the beach and to a dock for fishing and crabbing. If you have a canoe or kayak it is easy to launch from the dock. The house is very dated which is not really a problem but this home has deficits that impair it’s function. The kitchen utensils are atrocious. Very few of the pans had flat bottoms. There was a glass with a broken rim in the cabinet. The can opener should be thrown out. I’m not expecting a gourmet kitchen but this one was barely functional. The master bath tub drain is very slow. At the end of a shower you are standing in water over your feet. The carpet has multiple stains. The front steps leading into the house seem dangerous. There is a lot of rot along the side. When those steps fail someone will get hurt. The email for check in listed a phone number to call to get a code for the gate and a parking pass. When we called we were on hold for a long time and eventually rolled over to a corporate office who, while helpful, did not know what we were talking about. Why not include a printable parking pass and the gate code in the original email? This location is managed primarily by a company called Vacasa. I try to avoid using third party managers because they do not use the VRBO communication system which makes it just a bit more difficult to communicate. I don’t think I would stay in this particular home again unless it could be had at a significant discount to other homes in the vicinity.

Great Summer Vacation

The treehouse was all that we needed for a week at the beach and nearby Charleston. Kiawah has excellent amenities, and the location of this house was close to all, from the beach to the Kiawah River to Fresh Fields. The property management made the stay easy and hassle-free.

Spectacular sunset views.

The sunset view from the porch is beautiful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are well appointed. Plenty of storage. Everything was in perfect working condition. When we couldn’t figure out how to turn on one fan the Vacasa team was very responsive. Would recommend to anyone and stay again.

Marsh and river view

The view of the marsh and river is a the best feature of this Inlet Cove cottage. Plenty of room and quick walk or bike to the ocean. Since this community is on the west end of the island it is a quick exit off to explore the greater Charleston area.

Great Location

Close to the beach! Great neighborhood, dock, and pool. The unit is tired and needs an update. If it were any nicer, it wouldn’t have been available on short notice!
