Rustic cabin bungalow inside Sunriver

Welcome to 12 Muskrat. Part cabin, part elegant bungalow, this charming single-story home is just a short walk from the Village and Sunriver homeowners aquatic center (SHARC).

This home has new king and queen beds, carpet, barbecue, granite countertops and a french door refrigerator. The well-equipped kitchen opens out to a peaceful deck where you can BBQ and dine. The three flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and DVDs will ensure that guests of all ages are entertained. There are also board games, golf clubs, tennis racquets and a cozy fireplace.

Muskrat 12 is situated on a corner lot, giving it forested views from many windows. It's hard to get closer to SHARC than this - just minutes away on foot. A bit further down the road is the Country Store, Village Mall, coffeehouses, and dining.

* This home does not have air conditioning. The homeowner does not provide firewood for the vacation rental. Firewood can be purchased at both Sunriver grocery stores.

This home is near an active railroad. Trains rarely blow their whistle in Sunriver and average trips through Sunriver are 2-4 times per day.

Great Sunriver location

Unit 12 was clean and comfortable. Very close to everything you want out of the Sunriver resort. Drove in, used my bike for everything else. Great spot !

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice little house with all the amenities we needed. Short walk to the village. Very cozy! Only criticism is about the ice covering the walkway to the front door. It was pretty hazardous and I had to use a ski pole to keep from slipping. The ice should definitely be removed so no one gets hurt.

Great Location, but no garage

The home was just about the right size for 3-4 people, clean, relatively modern and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The online description does not state it, but there is one bedroom with a queen and a 2nd bedroom with 2 beds. The location is great. Just a few mins walk from the pools and Village. The only ding I will give is that it does not have a garage.

Perfect Home for our small family

We visited this home in January of 2021 and were fortunate enough to experience the first big snowfall of the year. My two kids loved the home and still refer to it as THEIR Sunriver home!

Great get away

We had a wonderful time, bike riding and swimming in the river. My husband also played golf and we did a float down the River! The only negative was the Rec center was closed because of a covid outbreak.

Quiet and close to the Village

The thing we appreciated the most was the quiet neighborhood and the location. Other than that, it was very dark inside, not sure when it had been cleaned before (thick cobwebs in some of the window sills and crumbs on the chairs around the table), but, by far, the hardest thing to deal with was all the big black ants - crawling mostly around the kitchen, but there were others around the rest of the house, too.

Suited our needs

This property is on the smaller side - 2 bedrooms - but since it was myself and my two teens, it worked for us. It wasn't very clean though. There were a lot of cobwebs and spiders all over inside the house. Since I was told that it was being sanitized and cleaned prior to my arrival, I was a little surprised by this.

The place could use updating, but worked for us. Never found the living room light switch and one of the bedroom lights never worked. The stove was old, but worked, controls were odd and no instructions.

Sunriver vacation

PROS: This property was very pleasant: close to restaurants and shops but located in a quiet area among the trees. The rental was very comfortable and well-stocked, and Sunriver offers good dining and access to nature. I would stay here again or recommend it to others (so long as they were not mobility impaired). CONS: The Wifi was fine, but the cable/TV could not find a signal in any of the 3 rooms that had a TV. The sign said to call Bendbroadband, but I did not want to spend vacation time on the phone with a cable company. Also, the property lacked basic resources for the mobility impaired. Neither shower had grab bars, the entrance and deck stairs lacked railings, the shag carpeting was hard for someone with a cane to walk on, the glasses and dishes were largely inaccessible to shorter people, and the car parking area and path to the house were on rocky, uneven ground.

Perfect location for snow play for littles

We stayed here to give our kitties (2 & 3yr old) a chance to play in the snow. From the back door was a perfect area to play in the snow, with a small slope we used for sledding. A great experience!

Clean, quaint, excellent location!

When looking for a place to rent for our family, the number one thing I was looking for in the previous reviews was cleanliness, as obviously during the pandemic, that is very important! The house was very clean: new toiletries, new sponges, nothing in the fridge, very fresh towels and sheets, etc. A few other reviewers noted that it was dim/dark, but we felt like there were plenty of lights around the house to compensate. It definitely did not bother us! Beds were firm, yet comfortable. Perfect location, walking distance to SHARC and Village. We will definitely stay here again!!

Perfect cozy getaway in Sunriver!
