About this property

Dream for hiking, star gazing, fishing, snowmobiling & hunting - 2 night minimum

The spacious log cabin is nestled in rolling hills, covered in aspen and pine trees, on a private 35 acre lot located just 6 miles from Steamboat Lake State Park. The cabin is comfortably furnished and sleeps 10 people, featuring an open layout with vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a patio with gorgeous unobstructed views. The cozy living area has an open floor plan, complete with a wood-burning stove, hardwood floors, and a large country kitchen. Grill out on the front patio while enjoying the outdoor fire pit. Then unwind for the evening enjoying the dark wilderness; taking in the stars as the greatness of the Milky Way seems to almost be within reach.

Area features:
Routt county is a mecca for the country's best snowmobiling and hunting.. Horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting and snowshoeing are just some of the activities right outside your door. The Elk, Yampa and Little Snake rivers are only a short drive for some fantastic fly fishing. The Zirkel National Forest is located right in your backyard for some incredible hiking and wildlife spotting. Additionally, Steamboat Lake is only a scenic 10 minute drive, and the house comes with an inflatable row boat and two canoes to use. Please bring straps to transport the vessels if you plan on taking them to the lake. We just ask that you please put everything back as it was when you found it. Life vests are also available.
Other things to note:
The area does not have cell phone service, so Wifi calling is used to make cell phone calls. There is also a house phone which can be use as a land line. Pets are welcome with an additional $25 per pet, per night cleaning fee. Please let me know in advance if you plan on bringing a pet.

Snowmobiling trip

When we finally got to the cabin the place is very cozy and clean. Bring gas if you're going snowmobiling. This house is 20 minutes from the Outpost. Google pin is incorrect.

Midnight Ranch

We had 8 women celebrating birthdays for 2nights! We enjoyed the cabin very much very cozy and well stocked! We did have some check in issues with a wrong code and having communication service is a bit of a problem. We were able to go to neighbors for wi-fi but they were hesitant to help us . We also did not have the access to the shared property that was described in the description of property! Hopefully they will work that out amongst the property owners! It was a fun stay with friends!

Just about perfect!

We stayed here for our son's wedding near Steamboat Lake. It was a perfect location for a pre wedding get together with a well equipped kitchen. Hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to return!

Beautiful Oasis

We had a lovely stay in this cabin perched above a small pond. The area was so beautiful, great place to recharge. The location is about 15 minutes different from shown on the site. Plan on the cabin being a bit creaky with the roof warming and cooling. Overall excellent stay.
