Great location off the beaten track. Very relaxing with the sounds Of the Stream out in front. The cabin had everything you need for a warm and inviting stay.
This is the second year in a row we have stayed at the St. Elmo Cabin.
It is a beautiful, relaxing place to be. We gave SxS’s we ride which can be done straight from the house.
The hosts are wonderful. Planning on booking next year!!!
Very enjoyable stay. The place is well equipped, clean, and roomy. And the afternoon showers were a nice touch. We proved life can be great without the internet (even though here I am back on it now).
We had the best time at this quaint cabin. We had access to all the trails from this cabin & a short drive to the hot springs. It was so quiet & peaceful. Any questions we had, Carol & Ref would always answer our call. It was so beautiful up there, I didn’t want to leave.
I love, love, love this cabin. I can’t say enough about this cute place.

Our second time to the same place and cabin. Everything you’d want, and more! Perfect place and carol is so sweet and responds to any issues or concerns!
All I have to say is, my sister and I cant wait to get back and stay and next year! The location is absolutely beautiful and the home is lovely and better than expected! So charming and cozy, exactly what we wanted to relax and get away for our trip we take every year. The creek is right across the street and in the end of September the fall colors are spectacular. Carol and Ref are the best hosts, we couldnt have asked for more. Thank you again for the amazing memories!

Absolutely beautiful cabin in the most perfect location for riding the trails. The cabin was clean, so beautifully decorated and the landscaping…wow ! The area is quiet and fairly private. Wish we would have had time for the fire pit but got in too late every night. The kitchen was well stocked and all the starter supplies you would need. Owners are very friendly and responsive. If you are wanting ride in, ride out this is your spot. The drive is a bit tricky with two trailers but anyone with experience can handle it.
This cabin provided the perfect place for us to stay on our recent trip to Colorado. We wanted a place in the St. Elmo area where we could ride our ATVs to trails from the house without trailering and hauling them. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Saw a bull moose walk through the driveway, and many other wildlife around. Loved the sounds of the river flowing across the road. Beautiful area and very peaceful and relaxing.
This Place was great. the only thing I would suggest is letting people know how tight it is to get trailer in drive way. other then that this place was amassing. would definitely stay there again.
The cabin is wonderful and the new hot tub, back deck and brick pathway were wonderful additions. The weather was wonderful and sitting on the deck soaking up the quiet sounds of nature and beautiful view were just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Excellent mountain cabin with fantastic views and central location! Pristine condition. Tastefully decorated with everything you need for a mountain retreat. Quiet and relaxing. Friendly hosts who thoroughly maintain their property.
Carol and Ref, we could not have been more happy with this beautiful cabin in the trees. Quiet, peaceful and remote is what we were looking for and we found it. Weather was perfect - very cool mornings, which is a treat coming from San Antonio, Texas! Mule deer, chipmunks and hummingbirds visited daily. Easy drive to TinCup for lunch at Frenchy's one day; otherwise, we cooked at the cabin. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need! Thank you for sharing your piece of mountain paradise with these two flatlanders. Julie and Danny Delahunt
This was such a beautiful and relaxing place! The cabin had everything we needed and more. The wildlife viewing was amazing! We can not wait to stay here again!
We enjoyed this cabin so much! It is beautifully decorated and very relaxing. We loved the fact that we could take our Polaris General straight from the cabin and hit up several close by trails. We went to Tin Cup Pass and the town of Tin Cup, Hancock Pass, Pomeroy Lake, the Mary Murphy Mine, Alpine Lake and the Baldwin Trail. We did 94 miles of trails during our stay. Perfect!
Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. we enjoyed the porches and watching the humming birds and the storm roll in. Was great to start your ride right from the cabin. Would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay in Saint Elmo. It was so relaxing, in a year when you need to relax. The cabin is so cute! The sound of Chalk Creek is a great way to fall asleep.
What an exceptional place to disconnect from the world for a while. No phones. No texts. No email. No internet. Absolutely loved it! If you can’t live without being connected 24/7 go somewhere else. Peaceful walks. Friendly folks. We plan on going back! Thank you so much!
This is hands down the best VRBO experience I've ever had. The property was exactly as described. Carol is amazing and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I've never stayed anywhere that felt like "home" and this felt so comfortable. Basically Carol is a mind-reader and has everything you'd ever need. You can also tell that others love this cabin and pay it forward by leaving extra canned goods or toiletries that don't need to ride home. We specifically needed a place to ride our ATV/OHV without having to trailer. This was it. We rode over Hancock Pass (2x), Tincup Pass (2x), all the Mt. Antero trails, and even over to Pitkin and Cottonwood Pass one day. We spotted moose, elk, and mule deer daily. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to check off the grid without cell or internet. Loved our time in Colorado, Carol!
This trip was amazing! You can hear the creek all day, the views are spectacular, lots of wildlife and great trails for us to play and explore with our pups! The other cabins and people that pass by are all very friendly, courteous and very genuine. Even had a moose come up to the cabin and that was a view/experience I’ll always remember! Even got great pictures and video! We are already looking into to booking again!
The wildlife is incredible! We saw moose, deer, chipmunks, hummingbirds, and other types of birds on the property. It was amazing!
