"GO BIG BLUE" will warm your heart and quickly become your home away from home. This spirited Mid-Island Beach newly renovated cottage is located on one of the best streets in Ft. Myers Beach. It is just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. This is a family-friendly street. It is a wonderful street to relax and talk with the neighbors as you enjoy an evening walk to get ice cream or take a break from the beach. It is a perfect neighborhood to ride bikes.
This home is ready to be your winter snowbird tropical paradise. "GO BIG BLUE" is a raised traditional Ft. Myers beach cottage with the modern conveniences of an ideal vacation getaway. This home away from home is steps from the beach and provides much-needed relaxation from your everyday life. This spacious two-bedroom and two-bathroom home features a new king mattress in the master bedroom and a new queen in the second bedroom. The cottage sleeps four for a relaxing and restful evening. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom—a spacious living room with a large kitchen, which provides everything you need to prepare meals. Relax on the deck and grill your catch of the day. The grill is provided. Private boat tours for fishing are readily available. Take your pick of eight golf courses within thirty minutes of your cottage.
Go Big Blue is just three houses from the canal. A short walk down the street toward Estero Blvd. allows easy beach access. It is a fantastic mid-island location with free Wi-Fi and three flat-screen televisions. The beach wagon will easily hold all your necessities for a day at the beach. Beach towels, several chairs, and a beach umbrella are all included with your stay. It's so close; you may return home for lunch and head back for an afternoon of sun. An outdoor shower is available to wash off the sand from the beach. There are several local eateries, including Junkanoos, Doc Fords, Dixie Fish, and Yo Taco, or you may prefer to grill your own.
The Ft. Myers Beach Trolley is a fun and easy way to get around on Ft. Myers Beach. If you decide to take an evening ride, hop on the trolley and stop by Royal Scoops for some ice cream or a shake. The boardwalk is full of fun and shopping. A short drive over the bridge will take you to Ft. Myers. Your Wal-Mart is just four miles away, and Publix is one mile away when you need to stock up on groceries. If you choose to get up early for the sunrise, be sure to make a stop for breakfast at Moms---one of our favorites! Enjoy!

Great beach vacation

Perfect location. Clean home.

My husband and 2 small children stayed at this location for a month. We loved coming in to the clean and bright/well lit home. The front and back porches add tons of extra living space. The owner was quick to respond and resolve any questions or issues we had. We loved this property and would definitely return!

A Great Stay at a Great Property

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Big Blue. Kay, the property owner, was very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The property is well located- near both the attractions of Fort Myers Beach, and within easy walking distance to the beach itself. The house was very clean on check-in, which is always welcome. My family and I hope to return again soon.

This little gem is perfect for a ocean vacation! Walking to beach was easy and the beach items they have for use are perfect! The house itself was clean and comfortable and working with the property manager was very easy and pleasant:). Highly recommend this for your next stay @Ft Myers Beach!

My husband and I have used VRBO for many years and we must say this was one of the best ever. So if you're looking for a VERY clean, nicely furnished, quiet location look no further. Kay was very accommodating and always just a text away to answer questions and happy to provide us with very helpful information and recommendations. We loved all the nice beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, wagon and bicycles. The beach was just a short walk or quick bike ride away. We highly recommend this Vaca location and will definitely book again if we ever head back this way. Thanks a million Kay! 😎

The property was exceptionally clean. Great amenities such as bikes and beach supplies. Quiet street but a little too far out for us since we spent most of our time downtown with friends. The travel time into town via vehicle was always slow. The use of the bikes helped a lot but couldn’t alway ride them with beach chairs and stuff. The owners were super sweet and helpful with any questions, they would respond immediately.

Perfect stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely property! It was clean and comfortable and in a wonderful location that was both quiet and close to everything! The owner provides MANY extra, thoughtful touches, such as welcome wine, chilled beer mugs upon arrival--even left some lights on for us as we were arriving late in the evening. We appreciated the bikes--all in good working order and perfect to get around the island! We used the grill (worked great) and cooked in the kitchen, finding everything we needed to prepare our meals. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck--surrounded by palm trees, sun, breeze--so lovely and relaxing! We highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again!

Calming Oasis

My husband and I stayed the week of March 10th and had an absolutely great time. It was like being at home with all the same conveniences. The neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. The rental had everything we needed for going to the beach which is just 5 minutes away plus bikes to get around town. There is also a working washer and dryer which is another great feature. A grocery store is located a few blocks away and there is also a Tram that will take you to quite a few places. There are so many great restaurants to eat at and things to do and see. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this place to our friends and family.

Incredibly nice beach house!

My sister, her husband, and I have stayed in three houses at Ft Myers Beach in the last three years and this was BY FAR the nicest! Recently redone with two comfortable bedrooms, two bright baths, cool tile floors, nice deck, huge barbecue grill, tastefully decorated, well equipped kitchen, four bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella, etc. First thing we noticed was how immaculately clean it was, then all the extras: paper goods, dish/laundry detergent, wine and chocolates! I wish we had discovered this place earlier. Do not hesitate to book this property! The damage deposit is steep ($1500), but I think that Kay just wants to make sure you're serious about caring for her wonderful home. What a fantastic week!

Actually WAS Home Away From Home

“GO BIG BLUE” was/is very nice. Was surprised when my Wife and I first walked through the home. It really IS a home. Pictures show most of it, but can’t show the comfort and the thought of convenience that has been put into it that makes it a home. Only way it could have been better was if the refrigerator had been stocked prior to our arrival (a running joke I had with K )! “BLUE” itself is very comfortable and had just about anything one would need while relaxing there. K was/is very friendly, helpful, accommodating and caring more than just a renter of a vacation home. Her pride and care in her home comes through in her decor and in our communications. Despite the uncontrollable outside conditions ...the crazy road construction of Estero Blvd itself and the crazy up and down weather... “BLUE” made up for them by it’s comfort and cleanliness. Thank you K for sharing your home with us, for your helpfulness, your concern and for your friendliness. God Bless You and Your Families.

Loved our stay at the beach house

We are so happy with our stay at this house! It is on a beautiful street, just a short walk to the beach. The house is spacious and the kitchen is stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the back deck... The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are nice, too! The owners were very pleasant to deal with...we just did not want to leave and we are hoping to visit again someday!

Wonderful location on fort Myers beach !!

Great place! Great location! Super cozy and comfortable! Our family loved staying at Go Big Blue. Perhaps one of the best parts was the fantastic location. It is right in the heart of the island and close to everything. The beach truly is at the end of the street. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and relaxing. The beach house was meticulously clean and well-maintained. There are touches of art throughout the house. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for preparing meals. The owner even had a nice welcome note and a bottle of wine on the counter upon our arrival. This really came in handy that evening given our lengthy travel day. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were fresh. I especially liked the large king bed in the master bedroom. The owner is very easy to communicate with and provided great instructions, as well as her phone number. She was prompt in answering our text and emails. We would highly recommend this home. Kudos to the owners for their attention to detail in making such a cozy and comfortable beach retreat. Our stay was amazing and we will see you next Fall!

There is a great selection of locally-owned restaurants and numerous activities are just a trolly ride away . . . and of course one of the best beaches in America. Bay Oaks, located just a mile away, is a great place to go swimming, enjoy the waterslide, or a variety of other recreational activities. Whether a day on the golf course, private charter or shopping at the Boardwalk . . . you are staying in an excellent mid-island location. It should also be noted that the warm weather is unmatched . . . especially during the winter months.
Why this property you ask? This is "our" home away from home. "Go Big Blue" is on a street with minimal rentals. This speaks volumes as to the neighborhood in which we are located. The house is the PERFECT location for snowbirds or those looking for a month or winter getaway. Relaxed and inviting with multiple amenities - something for everyone!

What makes this property unique

A short walk to the beach! The large deck with covered pergola and lighting provides for a romantic evening for two or a great place to enjoy dinner with family and friends. Landscaped borders provide privacy from other homes. The family room includes two large sofas which are perfect for late evening conversations or stretching out for a nap on those cloudy days. The master bedroom includes a new and comfortable king mattress for dreamy nights. The master also includes an en suite bathroom. The kitchen was one of the reasons we purchased the home. It has a bar for additional seating, and it is open to the family room to ensure that everyone is involved in the excitement . . . even if preparing dinner!
