Accueil peu sympathique du gérant. Un seul couchage était prêt. Or, cet appartement avait été choisi pour la possibilité d'avoir deux grands couchages. Nous avons demandé de quoi faire le deuxième . Le gérant a dit très élégamment :" Je ne pouvais pas deviner que vous faisiez chambre à part!" Nous avons dû payer en liquide 30 euros et attendre deux jours ces fameux draps. Pas de couverture supplémentaire. Radiateurs fermés. L'appartement était glacial et nous avons bien grelotté! Prévenu deux jours avant de notre horaire de départ - tributaire de notre train de retour - le gérant ne s'est pas présenté. Nous l'avons attendu un quart d'heure puis nous sommes partis en claquant la porte. Sans nouvelle du gérant! Heureusement que nous n'avions pas donné le chèque de 500 euros qu'il nous avait demandé. Comment l'aurions nous récupéré? Ceci étant, l'appartement est très bien situé, très bien décoré et très bien équipé. Nous le recommandons si l'accueil est plus chaleureux et à l'écoute. Nous utilisons souvent le service Abritel et c'est la première fois que cela nous arrive.

Great spot in old Avignon

We needed a clean place to stay with kiddo in a separate room. This place worked out perfectly. Clean and close to the Place de l'Horloge & Palais des Papes (not that anything is far inside the walls of Avignon). Franck was easy to work with and after figuring out an error with the directions (my adding of a 0 to the address did not help matters) we were checked in very easily. Check out is just as easy.

Convenient location. It was super hot when we were there and the small ac unit was unable to cool the bedroom. Several nice restaurants nearby and a short walk to the center of the city.

Très bien placé mais....

Cet appartement est vraiment très bien placé pour visiter Avignon. Cependant, sa description manque un peu de transparence ce qui peut réserver quelques frustrations à l'arrivée, d'autant plus face à un gestionnaire fort désagréable et de mauvaise foi. Mais cela ne nous a pas empêchés de passer un bon séjour.

Lovely spacious apartment

This is a lovely, spacious, comfortable apartment. The location is steps away from the Palais des Papes and the popular Place de l’Horloge and Rue de la République. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need and has a spacious quiet bedroom. Franck, the property manager is right across the street, and he is very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this apartment, and others that he offers, and I would gladly stay here again. Merci Franck!

Excellent location, nice apartment

This apartment had a great location, maybe a five minute walk to the St. Benezet Bridge or Place de la Horloge, and less than ten minute walk to the Palace of the Popes. There was a convenient grocery store as well. The apartment had plenty of space for the two of us, with a large master bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped, clean and bright. The manager Franck was very communicative (via email) and provided us with everything we needed to get into the unit with well organized and helpful instructions. We enjoyed our stay very much and were glad to have stayed there.

Roomy, modern, comfortable and great location.

Franck has created a very nice apartment right in the heart of Avignon. It is a block from the ancient wall and the gorgeous Rhone River in one direction and a block from the Palace of the Popes and the vibrant shopping/restaurant district in the other direction.. Close to buses, markets,stores. Also Franck responds IMMEDIATELY to any questions or problems you have. I will come back.

A nice space but some drawbacks

The apartment is reached by 37 narrow twisting and sloping stairs. We were warned to be quiet when moving luggage, but a downstair resident was very rude to us unnecessarily. The street noise is very loud well into the night. The unit is well thought out in space use and was clean. It is also very convenient to all that the old town has to offer.

Great location, comfortable

The coffee pot was clogged and didn’t work well, and we couldn’t figure out how to get the dishwasher to start, but otherwise it was a super location, close to everything, and Franck was helpful. Not good for anyone who can’t climb lots of steep stairs!

wonderful spot in Avignon

We had arranged to stay in this apartment, but due to a repair that needed to occur, the owner, Franck, called us before we arrived to let us know of the issue. He had arranged another property for us to stay and arranged transportation to make sure we had no problem getting there. Matthieu, who works with Franck, made sure all was good and checked in on us throughout the stay. Absolutely lovely people, and the apartment was perfectly located and very comfortable. Thank you Franck and Matthieu!

Light, comfortable, centrally located apartment and excellent property management

We stayed in this comfortable apartment for 2 weeks in May 2017. It is clean and bright, located on the 2eme etage (two floors above the ground floor) in a very central location, in the inter-mural historic center, close to the lively Place Crillon. The property is managed by WeekWhere, whose office is right across the street from the apt. The principals of WeekWhere are Franck and Frederick, two super helpful and nice people, very responsive and kind. Their recommendations of restaurants and places to see proved to be reliable and helpful. We experienced some unusually warm weather during a few days of our visit, and were very happy to have efficient air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment well laid out. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Wonderful 2 months in Avignon

We stayed in Matisse 50 for two months in August/September 2016, and the apartment met (and exceeded) all of our expectations. The furnishings and decor are exactly how it is pictured. We loved having the big refrigerator because we prepared most of our meals. The induction stovetop took a little getting used to but that was us not the apartment! The washing machine was a great extra, especially for a long stay. There were some really hot days, and the air conditioning cooled us down quickly. We enjoyed hearing the horse-drawn carriage go by on the street below every day. The street itself is quiet (because it is a one-way street with a difficult entry so there are never any cars), with some occasional traffic noise on the weekend from the side street. Also, having the property manager, Franck right across the street was great - he is friendly, accessible and has plenty of good suggestions for attractions, restaurants, etc. We loved our stay in Matisse 50 and now live in France!

Matisse 50 - authentisch, zentrumsnah, intramural

Wir haben vom 4. bis 10. Oktober 2015 in diesem Appartment in Avignon gewohnt und uns rundum wohl gefühlt: - das Schlafzimmer überzeugt mit guten Matratzen und viel Platz in den Einbauschränken - man schläft ruhig und dunkel zum Innenhof heraus - der Wohn- Essraum mit Küche bietet alles, was man für den Urlaub braucht - das Sofa im Wohnzimmer kann auch als Schlafsofa genutzt werden - die Küche ist gut ausgestattet - das Haus liegt in einer typischen kleinen Einbahnstraße innerhalb der Stadtmauern des historischen Avignons - es ist allgemein ein ruhiges Haus - W-Lan funktioniert meistens gut - man ist zufuß sehr schnell an allen zentralen Sehenswürdigkeiten Avignons und es gibt viele nette Restaurants in der Nähe - ein Parkplatz für den Leihwagen findet man in rd. 5 Minuten Fußmarsch entfernt (bis 9:00 Uhr morgens kostenlos) und einen kostenlosen Parkplatz für den ganzen Tag erreicht man mit Pendelbus auf der anderen Seite der Narbonne kleine Minuspunkte gibt es für: - die Dusche, weil die Decke im Bad sehr niedrig ist und Menschen über 175 cm hier Probleme haben werden - den Fernsehempfang, weil es nur französische Sender gibt Super- Pluspunkt: - unser Ansprechpartner vor Ort: FRANCK. Er hat sein Büro direkt gegenüber vom Haus und ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt, regelt alles völlig unkompliziert und unbürokratisch, hilft bei allen Fragen Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert Merci Franck, Excusez-moi pour ecriver en allemagne.

Great location

Most certainly a convenient location. The apartment was spacious and clean, having a light atmosphere. Neighbourhood was surrounded enough by shops without feeling busy at all. Franck was helpful and welcoming.

Amazing apartment

The apt was perfectly located in the heart of Avignon's old town, just a short walk away from the main attractions. The apartement was modern, very clean and just a delight to stay in.
