Snowmobiler approved

Was a perfect place to stay on our snowmobiling trip. It is located perfectly between a lot of the drop spots and had a big driveway to back our trailer down. All 4 of us had our own bedroom. There were many places to sit around and talk about the riding we did that day. We will be looking to book here again next year.

Good for Larger Families *NO AC in the Home*

We thought the house was perfect size to fit our size family; 3 teenagers and 4 adults. It is close enough to ride your ATV/UTVs to town and to many public trails. However, after long days of riding our ATV and UTVs in the mountains we come home to a very hot house and only enough hot water for 2 people to shower (short showers) at a time; took over an hour for the water to heat back up for another 2 more people to shower. Took hours for all to shower before turning in. Please note this important detail … there is NOT an AC in any part of the home (but even window units) so every night (14 days) the nighttime temps in the house was stagnant 75-85 degrees! It was uncomfortable to sleep many nights even with multi fans and windows open. Also there are rips and tears in the window screens so we had bugs, flys, and mosquitoes in the home while trying to cool it down. The basement was cooler however had a musty / wet smell… we did discover a dead chipmunk under a bed. That happens in the woods! We were there in Late July so use this info if booking in later summertime. It was adequately stocked with all the kitchen paper products, seasoning, the basics to cook as well as plenty of toiletries, linens, etc. about an hour to get to Jackson Hole area if that’s your thing. The porch was nice to sit on but we couldn’t pull the owing out bc we didn’t want to diatribe a lovely Robin and her nest. We love Star Valley!

The property the home sits on is fabulous. The home was mostly clean but a few spiders and other insects in the home. The basement could use some updating but overall a nice property. The only issue was the sewer/septic backed up in the utility room when 2 people took showers at the same time

Amazing Cofy House close to town but in a rural neighborhood

Love this house! This is our second time visiting there. The home has all the amenities that you would want, comfy furniture and several fun spaces for people to hang out in small groups or spend some quiet time by the fire or just gazing at the amazing view! Close to everything.

70th birthday celebration

As I wrote in the house diary. "Beautiful, bucolic and peaceful." The location and the accommodations were quite good, and especially the accommodation of our three furry friends - who enjoyed the freedom to run on the very large freshly mowed grass area around the house. The deck was an essential part of the vacation experience and we all enjoyed it day and evening. Having a spacious garage together with a small work bench was very welcome for the fishermen in the group. We enjoyed the ample opportunities to visit the outdoors in Star Valley (Salt and Grey rivers for fishing) together with day trips up to Jackson and the Tetons. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. The neighbors were quiet and the horses in the nearby pasture were a welcome sight day and night. A really nice place.

Everything works, but...

Turnkey stay, but bring some extra paper products. Windows need work -- some were impossible to open. Very troublesome without A/C (or use the basement -- it's cool down there. The deck was great with the shade pulled out. We would stay here again if the Salt River was clear (landslide upstream muddied the river sufficient to make us fish near Pinedale).

Good Location, Good Value!

We enjoyed our stay in this home in Star Valley. It is a solid value with lots of room for our family. Good furnishings and more than enough cooking implements for families that want to cook their own food (we especially loved the air fryer!).The overall cleanliness was adequate, it is pet friendly so be prepared for some pet stains. This is a solid place to stay if you are looking for a good value and a beautiful location in Star Valley!

Plenty of space but VERY dated

The house is clean and comfortable but VERY dated. The most modern thing in the house is the Ninja coffee maker. It felt like it was furnished and decorated with items from a thrift store. Saloon doors on master bathroom offer NO privacy. Master shower is very tiny. No garage door opener which was mentioned in the listing but very inconvenient with the way the house is laid out. You have to get in the house from the front deck and go through the house to open the garage door or carport door to unload your car. The stairs leading to the basement are very steep and there is no way to close them off from small children. It rained quite a bit during our stay and the front deck was very slippery. Steps from kitchen to garage are small and there is no guard rail the exposed side. Disappointing for the price.

The best place to stay

This property is one of the very best we've stayed at during our many travels here in the US and abroad. Its location is ideal - close to town and the charming town of Thane, near to lots of great hiking and trails, and just an hour away from Jackson and the gateway to Grand Teton National Park. The house is also steps away from an area where our two Aussies could run and play to their hearts' content (and ours). The house itself was perfect for us. First, it was was extremely clean and comfortable, Everything we needed was on the main floor and we had loads of room and all the space we needed to read, watch TV, work (just a little), cook, edit photos and play video games. We were able to sign in to our streaming apps, had all of the items we needed to cook meals as needed, and didn't want for a thing. Cheryl's brown book had all the info we needed about the house and the area. Lastly, the weather during our trip couldn't have been better. Chilly nights, upper 60s during the day and gorgeous fall colors. We left relaxed and already wanting to go back. When we realized we had inadvertently taken a small item from the house with us when we left, we messaged Cheryl and she immediately responded telling us not to worry about it. We would highly recommend this property and can't say enough good things about Cheryl and Garth (property manager). Cris & Jim - and Sheila and Loki the Aussies

Amazing

We had such a wonderful stay. The house was equipped with anything you could possibly need. All kitchen items, more linens and bath towels than you could need. Quiet and incredibly tranquil. The views were amazing!! We saw so many awesome colored birds, deer and tons of chipmunks. Our dogs had the best time running the property and playing. Weather was exceptional during our trip. We went fishing the salt river and also at Palisades Res. The dining room table was big enough for my entire family to sit and eat dinner together. Huge deep freezer to store all your frozen foods. The grocery store in Thayne is amazing and reasonably priced for anything you need.

If you want a place that is quiet and you can just be without distractions of a busy world, then this is the place for you! You can hike/walk or just chill inside where it's toasty warm, or cuddle up in a blanket and watch a movie. We had a dog along and she loved her time to run and play outside as well!

Cozy and Comfortable House in Star Valley

We stayed here for 3 nights, and really enjoyed how large and comfortable the house was. It is actually around 2300 square feet - not 1300 as the description says. We enjoyed BBQing on the front deck and watching the sunset and stars come out. The beds and living room furniture are very comfortable.
