About this property

This two-story villa lives like a single family home, with ample privacy. The main living area of this home features a fully stocked kitchen with a 4-person breakfast bar that opens beautifully into the living and dining areas, all of which feature tremendous ocean views. There are large sliding glass doors that open to the main balcony, which comes complete with a grill and outdoor dining for four.

Two of the bedrooms have the same striking ocean views and balconies. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a large walk-in closet, and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has its own bathroom just steps from the door. The third bedroom features a day bed and office space and has its own en-suite bathroom with tub.

This home also hasa washer/dryer in unit.

The beach access to Playa Prieta and Playa Penca is directly across the street from Villas Catalina. It is approximately an 8-minute walk to Playa Prieta from this home.

POOL--Only eleven other villas share the incredible ocean-view infinity pool, which is likely the best pool in Guanacaste to enjoy the sunsets! The pool area also has an outdoor sink, prep area, grill, dining tables, lounge chairs, his-and-her bathrooms, and showers for our guests to enjoy.

The Villas Catalina community offers gated 24-hour security with onsite guards, infinity pool, poolside BBQ grill, and magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and nearby beaches. Restaurants, grocery stores, medical, dental and pharmacy services are located nearby. Area activities include surfing, fishing, golf, boating, rafting, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, zip-line canopy tours, swimming and more.

Please note that, while this is an extremely popular vacation rental, there are steps inside this unit and also steps to the pool, making it not ideal for those with extremely limited mobility

Beautiful sunsets!!!

Very nice property

6 of us stayed here for 2 nights, we wished we spent another day in the Playa Flamingo area. This condo was a bit out of the more crowded touristy district which worked well for us, it was a short drive or Uber to bars, sodas and restaurants. The view was very nice, but not as spectacular as it is from condos higher up in the development, next time I might try and get a condo at the upper level. However, the pool was amazing and that's where we spent our time. I've been to the coast in many places and the view (especially the sunset view) from the infinity pool was as pretty as I have seen anywhere. Overall we were very pleased with the cleanliness and layout and would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular View. Great Service

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our good fortune to end up at Casa Margarita as it was by accident. Another property that we had booked got sold and removed from the rental pool. Krain facilitated an upgrade to this beautiful property. The view is amazing. The breezes made sun bathing pleasant at any time of day. The caretakers; who lived on the property, were always available but out of sight unless needed. They even met us at our 1am arrival! The next morning our consierge Tony arrived with some fresh empanadas and some requested groceries. Our stay at Casa Margarita was a wonderful experience; setting a high bar for subsequent trips.

Amazing property and views

This condo was amazing!!! Spotless, easy check-in and check-out. Fully stocked kitchen! Lots of space to hang out! The views from most bedrooms were incredible! We loved sitting on the deck and looking out over the pacific! Infinity pool is beautiful! The gate guy was helpful and friendly and Tony at Karin was very helpful! Great food in Potrero!!

We really enjoyed everything about this villa, close to everything where you can go for a walk or drive to Potrero town or Las Catalinas. We really enjoyed our walks during the morning all the way up the hills till The Catalinas. We saw different animals, view is amazing and it was a safe to walk on Playa Prieta and Penca. Security and landscape guys very helpful people. Thank you to Roy (Krain's professional) for all his help with the AC that had a small problem. We really liked Krain services, their prompt responses and we will come back with our kids soon.

Playa Potrero Dream

Villas Catalinas is located in a quiet and beautiful spot in Playa Potrero. It is within 10 minutes of walking distance to the local beach and is a 5 minute drive to the local town where there are a few restaurants and a super for purchasing groceries such as a limited selection of vegetables and fresh eggs. The rooms and open areas are well decorated and clean. The only staff we interacted with were the security guards at the gate who were super friendly and kept us safe during our stay. The infinity pool is a priceless view of the western coast and the Pacific ocean. You will enjoy your stay here.

Beautiful home with amazing views

The home is exactly how it is shown in the pictures. It has a fully equipped kitchen, which was really convenient since we cooked breakfast every morning. I would recommend this home.

Wonderful stay!

The unit, the view and the facilities were all as pictured. It really was about the view and this unit did not disappoint! The unit is tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Krain, the managing real estate agency was thorough, prompt and professional in their communications. Every meal we ate out at one of the nearby restaurants was delicous and we enjoyed the beaches. Would not hesitate to return again

Beatiful sunsets

We very much enjoyed our stay in this home, was very clean and well equipped, although it would have been nice to have more then one little package of coffee for use. The views from the bedroom and patios were awesome and the sunset from the pool was amazing.
