True Rocky Mountain cabin

Spectacular location for a mountain experience. These cabins are in the valley facing the mountains. They are in your front yard. Great property for dogs and great trails nearby. Will definitely be back.

Waiting for 2 years

We had booked the cabin 2 years ago but due to the pandemic and death in the family we waited, we finally made it to the cabin. This place is Paradise and we enjoyed our time together. The scenery of the snow and mountains is Breathtaking. The cabin was very comfortable and makes a great vacation. Can’t wait to go back.

Late summer

Very cute well stocked cabin. Was perfect for what we needed. Beautiful peaceful setting. Overall we would definitely stay again. Our small issues were: Difficult to make the reservation when only Venmo was accepted if you only have debit cards...Housekeeping could be better, we spent 30 minutes cleaning the kitchen when we arrived, coffee grounds and sticky spots all over the counter, food left in fridge which also needed to be cleaned. Cookhouse is great for the indoor grill but not being able to take anything out of the cabin or cookhouse per the rules is difficult proves difficult when there is no water to wash up the dishes when you are done. We didn’t want to turn it on under the sink if it had been winterized. Dumpster was nearly overflowing and we had to pack the bags down to get ours to fit.

Escape the summer heat!

I spent a week at this cabin in July. Location is a little far from town, but it very quiet and picturesque. It took about 30 minutes to get into town on a very bumpy, dirt road. The refrigerator is very small and freezer doesn’t keep food frozen. I ate a lot of sandwiches! Location is close to Piedra Waterfall and Williams Reservoir which were fun to explore. The caretaker James was very friendly and helpful when I got a flat tire on one of the roads. The view from the front porch is stunning.

Great little cabin!

We loved staying here! It's a little ways outside of Pagosa Springs and it's so worth it! The cabin is quaint and well appointed. There are so many little touches that helped make it feel like home for our stay. We were so happy to be able to bring our dog with us and while it was freezing outside, the fireplace kept us nice and warm. The views are outstanding. Come and stay here; you won't be disappointed! Thanks for a great stay!

Awesome

It’s was absolutely awesome. We were so impressed with the location and the cabin, exquisitely furnished. The weather and fall foliage was amazing. The stars at night were so clear. Thank you for making these cabins available in this wonderful location in the San Juan Mountain range.

Unique log cabin with a gorgeous view

We were able to book this cabin for a week almost last minute at the end of July. The cabin felt nearly brand new and everything was pristine. The view out of the front door looks out onto wide open ranch land surrounded by gorgeous mountains. A small stream flows right across the dirt road that leads to the cabins, which you can hear from the front porch. The Piedra Falls were close by and were a short hike - this was our favorite hike. We also hiked Four Mile Falls (about an hour's drive on dirt roads), which were taller falls, but didn't have as much water as Piedra. I did a little fishing in the Piedra River just down the road and also in Williams Creek Reservoir. FYI - there's a general store a couple minutes drive up the road where you can buy supplies and a fishing license. We drove to Mesa Verde National Park as part of a day trip, which was really neat and worth the visit. We spent plenty of time on the cabin's porch and saw a few deer in the evenings. I added some nectar to the hummingbird feeder and started a war between seven hummingbirds on accident. Great for photos, though ;) The cabin itself is relatively small, but had everything we needed. It does not have AC or heat, but in the summer it was perfectly fine. We used the fireplace a few times for fun. The bathroom isn't pictured for this cabin at the time of this review, but it's also nicely decorated, the shower has great pressure and is instantly hot. One of my only complaints about this entire cabin is that the shower is a bit dark due to lack of lighting above and a thick shower curtain, but it was do-able. My other complaint is that the wifi is centered in the middle cabin (bear themed cabin), so the signal in this cabin is really only available if you hold your phone against the wall or go outside. Since we were trying to escape the craziness of daily life, we were ok with this. FYI - the coffee maker has a reusable filter and extra paper filters, so no need to bring your own unless they get thrown out, and there is a blender also available for use. We definitely hope to be back here in the future! It was very relaxing and quite (except for the occasional "mooo" from nearby cattle ranches).
